I love the gigue in this one! I often find myself singing it at random times of the day, it's the part that's always stuck in my head..especially the second half. Gosh, that left hand is no short of wonderful!
When listening to classical musics, I just want the ads to not appear during a movement. I can allow them if they appear after a movement ends, but I have been already disturbed a few times listening to the sarabande.
When you hear a professional recording of a piece enough times to realize the musician subtly inverted an octave jump to get rid of a difficult leap... -_- Cheators >:( (16:19-16:21)
Matthew Plaza, in fact, not really. The interpreter have just decided to not play double keyboard. It's only for creating a pianissimo effect, because you can't make any nuance on a harpsichord.
Vincent Pollender I know that. You haven't heard what I'm talking about actually. If you pay closer attention to the left hand on the second repeat you can hear they inverted the octave jump which opens the cadence.
@@matthewplaza4533 He didn't do it the first time round so, maybe it's a mistake? Pinnock doesn't strike me as the type of musician to take shortcuts. And he's technically proficient enough to play Bach's hardest works at breakneck speed.
Man, Bach could write a mean bass line.
very true. I always pay big attention to dat beat

Nothing short of perfection. Sincere thanks, gerubach.
I love the sarabande and the gigue so much
Amazing scherzo interpretation! Thanks for another great video, what a nice way to begin this week.
Trevor Pinnock. Enough said.
?
Mellow perfection. That's Bach.
The Burlesca and Scherzo always especially grab me in this suite.
Thta courante, so fresh and 'bouncy', I love it!
Bach was perfect, my hero!
Just take a look at the gigue. How was it possible to compose this?
One of Bach’s work contract specified 5am start with the exception of wintertime which was 6am...
The man worked his ass off, that's how.
exactly my question.
