I am so happy that Reina Perez was so thoughtful. God bless her. I teach English online and I was worried about one of the students that I had from that area. Me alegro mucho de que Reina Pérez haya sido tan considerada. Que Dios la bendiga. Yo enseño inglés en línea y estaba preocupada por uno de los estudiantes que tenía de esa zona.
@Eidelmania Dually noted and just as quickly, disregarded. You must believe in white jesus? Jesus was a dark skinned brother as were ALL his disciples. BONK.
She is truly a humble person, and the fact that she open that door is what is all about, kindness, empathy, love, compassion for those families. What a gorgeous woman inside and out, that’s what is all about, kindness.
When disaster hits you must become resourceful. She mentioned that they are cooking in the back with the trees that have fallen from the tornado. Just, wow. The resiliency and resourcefulness to survive is remarkable.
Thank you God there are still really good Samaritans in this world. I pray a double portion is given to her and her family for this act of kindness🙏🏽❤️
Bless this woman and her family And bless her for taking in friends and family and others She did not have to And what's even more amazing is those living with her are all out helping others I mean these folks are truly a blessing
I was blessed to know and be welcomed into Mexican families when I lived near the border of Mexico at a young age. The collective sense of community was incredible.
This lady is remarkable. DUring a terrible winter storm in 2006, I called a friend when I had no power, heat or electricity in the winter. He would not help me :(
Same here. It happened to me also. My children were little and it was freezing and none of my "friends" offered to at least take my kids in. It was very hurtful.
This should teach us all a lesson on hospitality. Not everyone can open their home and provide comfort for others in the middle of a crisis. That takes great character.
Why not? It just takes a mind resetting. If we don’t start really sticking together as a society we will not last on this earth. Individualistic societies will succumb faster.
These stories warm my heart. In crisis, ordinary people respond by nobly helping others in generous ways, to encourage others to do the same to help others. What she is doing is incredible !
It's survival, some of us grew up, poor , with little, my parents did what they had to survive, in life we take things for granted, God Bless This Lady, praying for the tornado, freezing states 🙏
This lady says the family has the same problems as everyone else, no gas, electricity etc. But that didn’t stop her housing other family and friends during these difficult times just as, I’m sure other people are doing. Take care all ❤️❤️
Yes, in that moment she thought “ we have wood, let’s use the wood to stay warm, to have some coffee” isn’t that wonderful? In that moment is not about her and her family, is about the people that needed help. I wish I’am there, so I can offer my home as a shelter, it will my home with laughter, joy, company, warmth, with love.
😴. She doesn’t fill sorry for herself, and with a positive attitude about her situation, she’ll be fine. If only everyone opened their doors and cared! God Bless them! ✌️❤️🙏👍
"They are all friends & family" Its nice to learn she didnt just let 26 random people into her home. Sadly giving people like this can get taken advantage of.
To all the rich people if you help others please do so I don’t have it like that I wish I could help them it’s sad 😔 but this Lady is a blessing and all blessings will come her way God bless everyone
Hats off to this Latina. In the end its the Latinos that end up helping the Americans. Americans, learn to respect ppl coming over to America from the border or anywhere, these are hard working ppl.
God is watching. Such a great woman. She's doing something for others for no gain of her own. Having the purest heart to help out, giving what she can. Bless her🙏
What a beautiful woman with a heart full of love for mankind. Unfortunately some people would want to deport her to her native country! She has very little to share--but through her faith, God has provided!!
Yes she is very generous at what she did to help others , not questioning about that, however there are others that do the same as well , she just happened to get the recognition , this is America I've seen beautiful people that help others in desperate need , some of the comments assume that there are heartless people out there that need to learn about what this lady just did because she is from another country , smdh
I love the fact that she took all of these people into her home - I hope after all is settled in their lives, that they continue to have Thanksgiving together every year. It would be great if this became a new American habit.
The most giving people I've ever met were Hispanic. The US enforced a ridiculous immigration policy after 911 saying immigrants were abusing millions in healthcare etc when these immigrants were actually dumping billions into the economy. I worked as a lead welder alongside so called illegal Mexicans who were outworking me for half my pay. They were paying rent, spending alot of money locally and sending what was left to family in Mexico. I will always respect and show love to the Hispanic people.
I love how she calmly manages a crisis and is so unselfish.

That is a good woman. Good neighbors too. This is the care everyone should show each other.
Yes, but there's gotta be something in it for them otherwise it's not worth it. Disgusting train of thought but it's the American way
What's in it for her? Friendship and family bond with neighbors. Helping others in way she would want someone to help her family in a crisis.

I really like that woman who is sheltering neighbours. Her matter-of-fact attitude is like my Scottish mother.
A real mother behavior like 👍

We need to recognize more people like her and stop putting radicals all over the "news".
