Thank you so much for this tutorial❣️ I love stitches that have texture & no holes. Truly appreciate everything you & Cody do to help teach us everything about crochet & yarn. Blessings to you all. 🙋🏻♀️🦋🙏🏼🫶🏻
I've never seen this stitch before. It's lovely. Glenda, you are a wonderful teacher and have a good heart! Thank you for all that you do for us! MaryAnne
Thank you so much Glenda for the tutorial. I so enjoy your tutorials. You go nice and slow and explain what you are doing and what we should be doing to get the stitch right. It is such a beautiful stitch. Thank you so much for showing it to us. I hope you and your family have a blessed week.
Great pattern.. I'm needing a new pattern to make for scarves for hospice I crochet for. This is perfect. You are indeed a great teacher!! Thank you!!!
I figure this takes maybe a lot of yarn to make a blanket, or scarf, but it looks like it would be really cushiony. Really like this stitch. Thank you Miss Glenda.
Hi Glenda. What an amazing stitch pattern. I never heard of this stitch before & was able to follow along w/ the tutorial w/ o any difficulty. Thank you for adding to my crochet knowledge of another new stitch. ❤️
I was looking for different stitches and thought honeycomb was to complicated but after watching Glenda I think I can do it no problem.Glendas videos make complicated very easy wonderful gives me the confidence to get out of my comfort zone and try new stitches .Glenda you are a blessing to others.
Thank you Glenda. Your crochet stitch tutorials are the absolute best. They are clear and concise and we can start crocheting the new stitch in no time. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos so we can learn new stitches. Rachel S. 😊
I just want to compliment you on your tutorials. The instructions are very clear, the filming makes it easy to see exactly what you’re doing, you work at a good pace and number of repetitions for a beginner, and your voice is soothing and encourages confidence. In my 60 or so years of crocheting, yours are the best tutorials I’ve watched. I’ve been looking for a project, and I think this stitch will make a great baby blanket for my niece who’s expecting. Thank you!
Thanks for this tutorial, I've never made this stitch, just seen it in crochet books, it's a beautiful stitch, Thanks Again for showing us how to make it! Take Care, Blessings 💕
Wow! I did know this stitch could be done in regular crochet. Yay! I like to tunisian crochet, mostly wash cloths cause it makes for a denser fabric. I often use this stitch because I like the pattern it makes and for the added bit of texture. Thank you so much for this tutorial! 😊 Can't wait to try it! *Runs off to get scrap yarn and a hook!* 😂
I have seen this pattern but never tried it. You make it look simple to make. I think the back looks as pretty as the front. I love that Fantasy yarn that simeone sent you even though I usually don't like dark colors. The orange makes it pop. Blue is my favorite color so I like the Mandala you used for the demonstration. Your tutorials are the best. I enjoy watching you and Cody on other videos also.
Oh my goodness! I looked at this st pattern before and thought it was too hard! It's easy peasy lemon squeezy! I'm going to make stuff using this st...as soon as I get caught up on my 3 current WIP`s.
Good morning omg the pattern looked so hard to make. But as I was watching you teach us how to make the blanket I know I can make it ❤ great job 🌹 you are a great teacher thank you for sharing your pattern ❤😊
What a wonderful teacher you are! Any idea how much yarn it would take to make a blanket? Thanks so much. Love your channel and your interactions with Cody.❤
it all depends on the size of the skein of yarn and the weight of the yarn, I usually always buy 10 to 12 skeins of a 4 weight in a 7 oz skeins when I plan an afghan. It also depends on how larger you want to make the blanket
Remember, you can pause the video and you can also slow down the "playback speed" by touching the screen, click on the settings button, click "playback speed" and choose a slightly slower speed. I do this often when I try a stitch that is confusing to me. I also zoom-in sometimes.I hope you are successful. I like this stitch, but I have very tight stitching, and stitches that require this style of "pulling long" is a real struggle for me; I can't keep my tension consistent.
It's so beautiful! At first I thought it must be Tunisian crochet and was so happy it wasn't. 😄 I've tried Tunisian without much luck (my sides are horrible) and know I should keep practicing, but not really motivated to do it now. Maybe later.
This stitch is gorgeous; thank you for the tutorial. Off topic, thank you for pointing out how thin the Premier "Worsted" Gradient yarn is. I had purchased some and it arrived yesterday. After your live video I opened it. It is definitely a 3 weight at best. I thought that the way yarn weights are determined is by wraps per inch. I had bought the yarn for a cardigan for my daughter; now I have to rethink my project. I'm going to give Premier yarns a piece of my mind. 🙁
Glenda you are my favourite teaching crochet what make is the hook you are using love too see you make an elephant or a unicorn everything you make is good
Good morning Glenda I love that stitch thank you for sharing I love your videos ❤❤ Which yarn do you recommend for a baby blanket, the mandala gradient or premier ?
Should be fairly easy as rectangular style of poncho. You just would probably have 2 equal panels to stitch shoulders closed or a small interrupt to chain in the head hole with that style of poncho. You could maybe even add buttons if you want to close it off a bit more to block extra drafts.
Wow Glenda. Beautiful stitch. Seems like the samples are a bit stiff w not much drape? What could you use this stitch for? Bags maybe? Pot holder? Only you could teach this stitch! 😅
Glenda, I've been looking for a specific pattern. It's a 2 panel alternating pattern. I think it was called Diamonds and Hearts. I made and sold several back in the 80's! I would really like to make some more of them , if I can find the pattern! Thank you for your help if you can help me find the pattern or where to look for it. Crochet magazines were very popular back then! I had them all but due to moving around a lot, I lost them all! TIA
if i wanted to start with a single crochet foundation row rather than chaining then single crocheting a row would i want to do an even count then chain one before turning? since with the odd number of chains in the first row accounts for the turning chain?
I do have several videos on Tunisian crochet under my stitch of the week videos including the tunisian honeycomb stitch and the tunisian smock st and others
Hello. Using all variables, how many balls of yarn would YOU say I needed for a king size bed spread of the variant of the beautiful green in this first tutorial? I was thinking about 6 balls. Such a BEAUTIFUL color. What is your thoughts on this? I always buy far to much or far to little. I just hate that. I came up the the amount of balls using my almost perfect Navajo pattern. That's a bit different because I use 4 different colors. Help please. Thank you so much.

You are #1. ❤
I figure this takes maybe a lot of yarn to make a blanket, or scarf, but it looks like it would be really cushiony. Really like this stitch. Thank you Miss Glenda.
I was thinking the same thing, it definitely looks like a yarn eater.
Good morning, Glenda. That is a beautiful stitch.
I like this pattern with the solid colors the best.
Love this stitch,has a 3 dimensional look

What a beautiful stitch
Would you say it's a yarn eater? Looks thick, love the look of it ❤️
It would use a little more then normal.
I have seen this pattern but never tried it. You make it look simple to make. I think the back looks as pretty as the front. Beautiful!.. but looks so hard. I'm going to try, step by step with you..
With any stitch pattern when working for the first time, go slow and one step at a time. You can do it.
Remember, you can pause the video and you can also slow down the "playback speed" by touching the screen, click on the settings button, click "playback speed" and choose a slightly slower speed. I do this often when I try a stitch that is confusing to me. I also zoom-in sometimes.I hope you are successful. Absolutely gorgeous
Very nice!! Thank you!!
Oh wow super pretty ❤
Very pretty stitch!
Looks very pretty
I just got my order from Premier yesterday and the Premier Basix is one of the Yarns I ordered!
Luv this stitch it is very pretty
Love this stitch

Beautiful
Nice stitch.❤🙂
I like it when you use a larger needle as it is much easier to see.
Glenda you are my favourite teaching crochet what make is the hook you are using love too see you make an elephant or a unicorn everything you make is good
Thanks for the info I was just wondering I taught myself how to do it years ago 😊
Neat stitch.
Good morning Glenda I love that stitch thank you for sharing I love your videos ❤❤
Which yarn do you recommend for a baby blanket, the mandala gradient or premier ?
I believe the Premier Gradient is a soft yarn for a baby blanket more delicate
Love it❤❤
You make it look so easy, thanks for the pattern.
nice ❤❤ thanks 🙏
Gorgeous! I wonder how we could work it up into a poncho?
Should be fairly easy as rectangular style of poncho. You just would probably have 2 equal panels to stitch shoulders closed or a small interrupt to chain in the head hole with that style of poncho. You could maybe even add buttons if you want to close it off a bit more to block extra drafts.
Hi Glenda i like this stitching if i want to make a baby blanket iam not sure how many chains i should do.
Wow Glenda.
Beautiful stitch.
Seems like the samples are a bit stiff w not much drape?
What could you use this stitch for?
Bags maybe? Pot holder?
Only you could teach this stitch! 😅
You can bump your hook size up a little to get more drape. I would say great for a blanket,
Glenda, I've been looking for a specific pattern. It's a 2 panel alternating pattern. I think it was called Diamonds and Hearts. I made and sold several back in the 80's! Crochet magazines were very popular back then! I had them all but due to moving around a lot, I lost them all! TIA
I seen a pattern called Hearts and Diamonds from 2007 if you google it it should come up on Raverly
if i wanted to start with a single crochet foundation row rather than chaining then single crocheting a row would i want to do an even count then chain one before turning? since with the odd number of chains in the first row accounts for the turning chain?
So nice and thick ! Would make nice hot pads out of cotton for gifts
Do you ever do Tunisian crochet ?
I do have several videos on Tunisian crochet under my stitch of the week videos including the tunisian honeycomb stitch and the tunisian smock st and others

Does it take a lot of yarn to do a blanket?
A little more due to work the long single crochet over the previous work
This is my first time doing this stitch. It's pretty but seems a bit dense or thick.
🥰🥰🥰🙏
Prongs = posts
Very pretty stitch. Thanks for sharing.
