This is my favourite Action Man outfit! I had one years ago but gave it to my friend. I should've kept it in retrospect! Thanks for sharing!
As simple as it is, that is a rather smart looking outfit. The only fault I can find with it is the appalling stitching on the pockets of the greatcoat. I'm assuming that this is what the ground crews and mechanics would be wearing while prepping and rearming the aircraft, as it is definitely not something that would be worn on the parade ground. I can only imagine the nightmare it would be to scrub oil and hydraulic fluids out of the sweater - I would think a coverall would be greatly appreciated by the poor fellows.
Another top notch video Gary, and thank you for sharing this with us.
Some really nice working poses in this one. And for a unappriciated role, this uniform scrubs up well!
Another awesome set. Thanks for sharing this!👍
I haven't owned this one for long, looks great displayed next to my Battle of Britain pilot.
That uniform and accessories are banging!
Nice video, great channel, and thanks for sharing mate. I just got one of these in the mail today, still new in the card! We are shifting house in the next few months, then I will be setting up some displays, and this will be one of them ;)
Would've loved this one back in the day. Think they should've added a blue shirt at least, as it doesn't look right without one. Apart from that, a beauty of a uniform set.
I love action man
Awesome 👍🏽😀
Hardest part with RAF WW2 era airmen- The planes they flew and scaling issues that plagued the tanks (like the Ironknight vs Scorpion)...
Do they go with a Spitfire or Hurricane (while leaving out Mossies and Thunderbolts) and on the German side ME109 or FW190 🥴
Each plane coming with colouring and models MK1 to MK⁰😂...
Also with or without Dday white and black ID bands and cammo etc...
The upside- as downed airmen, our play time imagination allowed us to rescue them and or have them do Colditz styled escapes🎉
The mechanic is shown working on a LandRover so that aspect is covered👍🏼
Never saw this Uniform before or that wild hat.
Great vid
Very good. Thank's.
P.S.
Hogan's Heroes vs Colditz- these uniforms allowed us to re-enact an episode or two ...
I suppose the modern children got a dose of Military films, the likes of Saving Private Ryan, BOBrothers/Pacific, Pearl Harbour, Dunkirk and Hacksaw Ridge...
Somebody asked how popular the medic(corpsman) sets were- first aid kits, stretchers and crutches vs weapons...
Well those lifesavers on the frontline and aid stations/field hospitals, also have their fans...
M.A.S.H. helped with their popularity also- wish they had put the medivac copter into production...
The reproductions and collections have target markets- children's toys sold as such- bought by us for the little boys in us all😂
I had the search light
I'd rather watch paint dry. It would be much faster and wouldn't talk to me as if I was a 3 year old.
Thanks for watching
In your case, Grand Prix is undoubtedly pronounced as "Grand Prick." I don't think anyone was holding a gun to your head to force you to watch.
