Restoring them to health and returning them to the wild is our primary goal. 🔹 Informing, Educating and Inspiring 🔹 The SWF provides over 100 educational programs reaching over 30,000 people annually. We believe providing educational outreach programs to schools, scout groups and community events, with focus on children and families, will make the greatest impact in preserving our wildlife, the environment, our public lands and our resources for future generations to enjoy. 🔹 Martin Tyner 🔹 Since age twelve, with a bird on his arm, Martin has captivated audiences sharing his knowledge and experience of his wildlife friends. At age nineteen, Martin was hired as curator of birds of prey at Busch Gardens, CA. He also worked in the movie and television industry training big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors. “One of my greatest childhood fantasies was the desire to create a personal friendship with a wild eagle. I found myself with a love and fascination for these powerful creatures.” Martin Tyner is a federally licensed falconer, eagle falconer, wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife propagator, and wildlife and environmental educator. He has been providing wildlife and environmental programs throughout the western United States, to schools, scouts and community groups for over fifty years. “Grandpa believed in a very simple philosophy; that a person should get up every morning and do good. Doing good means that you do well for others and doing well means that you do good for yourself. There is nothing wrong with doing well, but Grandpa always believed in doing good.” Martin's book, Healer of Angels, reflects back on his life: from a young boy terrified of birds to becoming the first man in North America licensed to train a wild golden eagle in the ancient art of falconry. Through a heartwarming collection of true stories he describes his challenging transformation from a shy dyslexic teenager, to the founder and CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation.
I finally received your book for Christmas after asking from the time I knew it was being published! I love you and your dear wonderful wife even more! Praying for a blessed year ahead! 🙏❤🦅❤
wow he literally flew back around to see you guys before he took off. he understood at that point that you were just helping him get to that point. amazing.
Fly high and free on your majestic wings, gorgeous eagle!! 🦅 Be healthy, stay safe out there and keep thriving, little friend. 🙏🙏 Wishing you a long and happy eagle life, majestic golden eagle!! May God always watch over you. 🙏🦅🙏 Thank you so much for taking such good care of our precious eagles, dear friend. 💞💞 God bless you and your family abundantly. Thank you so much for this wonderful video. 🌷🥰🦅💞🙏
Thanks for another good rescue and rehab Martin. It always amazes me, they never try to bite you. I think they know you gave them a bunch of love and brought them back to health.
Thank you Martin and your team who were able to rehab this Golden Eagle back to health so it can have the ability to fly free once again. It’s always a joy to see an animal of any kind healed and able to get back to its proper habitat. You’re an amazing human being and I do thank you for everything you do. I wish there were a lot more people out there like you who have the loving caring heart and also the want too like you do to help those animals in serious need. God bless that Golden Eagle and I do pray he/she will be able to fly free and live a great life too. God bless you too and your team too. Hugs and love always! Sue M. Clearwater, Florida ❤️🙏🥰🤞🏼🦅👏🏻👏🏻🥳👍🏻❌⭕️
Have a good news years Martin and your love. Like to see you in good shape. This eagle now your a good men, just take a look at you before flight away.
You’re amazing Martin! My husband, Terry Ehlers, has been a master falconer since he was 15 yrs old, so 51 yrs now. We have a few birds out here in Tooele county Utah. He has his peregrines and I have my ostriches. And yes, the 8.5’ tall ostriches are afraid of the falcons.
As someone who helps with injured Osprey in SW Florida, I know how you feel when the animals get released back into the wild. Some are a little more closer to the heart, but they all deserve to be free. Keep up the excellent work you’re doing. Cheers!
Martin & Susan, thank you for preserving nature. I just watched the video of Martin making a ortho- shoe for an Eagle. An idea after the shoe has been fitted, glue some neoprene foam and/or felt to the side between the foot. Neoprene thin sheets and felt are available at many places. Dollar Tree, Walmart etc. I think it would be helpful padding and less wrapping for you. 🤗 Your videos bring me joy. 😊 thank you.
A half century of experience is how this man makes handling a wild raptor look easy. Scoop, there go the legs, scoop, now he's snug against Martin's side. If I tried the same I'd be slashed to ribbons. A hearty cheer and happy new year to the SWWF/EWR! I will donate again when able.
That's wonderful. Thank you for sharing this with us. Also really like your new nets. Look like they're a whole lot easier to catch the birds with. Thank you for all that you and your wife and everyone else who helps you. Thank you for doing what we can't do.
High High im a bird in the sky im an EAGLE that rides on the breeze, High High what a feeling to fly over mountains and forests and seas and to go anywhere that I please. ABBA great song about eagles!! 🦅🦅 found Martin youtubes video by accident and just love golden eagles so beautiful and powerful amazing birds of prey
Martin have you ever had any Eagles that have come back to visit you you're an amazing dude man God bless you brother,, this was a beautiful release👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💚👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏻🙏🏻🥰
rescued 3 more Eagles - 1 jan 7 - 1 jan 14 and 1 jan 16 - winter migration just started - will have over 30,000 stop in delta bc for next 8 - 10 weeks on they way south - rescued over 70 eagles past 17 years
Amazing to watch a release. I wonder if the released birds can fly for long periods straightaway or does it take time for them to get their muscles fit enough? It looks as if they are trying to remember how to fly again. Good to see though 👍
Martin-- Golden Eagles are my favorite Eagle from every standpoint except one---94 % of all GE nests only fledge one Eaglet. I'll send out my best found GE hunting Video of an Adult GE attacking a full grown European either Goat or some type of European sheep(w horns). it's the most intense ge/goat/sheep attack video in wild i've ever seen. I'll send it along when i find it again.
Hello. I sure enjoy your channel. Do you happen to know Joseph Carter, the Mink Man, near Salt Lake? He trains mink and dogs to kill rats on people's property. Besides rats, his dogs and minks kill a lot of muskrats and some raccoons. He is also very connected to the local hunters. He normally feeds all his kills to his animals, but I wonder if you two could work out some sort of deal. Where maybe he sells you rats and he buys some other meat with that money? I don't know how those meats compare in price. I'm hoping that his rats might be cheaper than rodent pro's? Joseph used to train raptors as well. I wish you all the best.
Martin do you think that white bellied bald eagle will be able to grow any more primary feathers? And if not I'm guessing it'll have to be euthanized..😢

May I ask.... Don't you get attached an have you had birds that, come back or don't wanna leave you area?
