Wonderful! You can feel the mystery of the Nordic regions, but also the warmth of home - typical for Edvard Grieg - and the playfulness of Scandinavian spirits. At least my modesty feels it that way. In addition, I like arrangements of string quartets for orchestra. Well done! Fantastically! Thank you very much!!

It is an arrangement by Richard Tognetti, violinist and artistic director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

@@StuttgarterKammerorchester Thank you! But didn't Grieg make his own arrangement, or was that simply for 4 musicians and this version has been expanded?

nice peace of old music, repeated 100 times, the funny thing is about symphony conductors. why do they have to shake there head exaggeratedly like that? i know music affect our emotion, but not this conductor???? just hate watching them exaggerate them self like that.

Blame it on the producer/camera! When you're at a live concert you only see the conducter from behind ... at some distance. He is trying to communicate with the musicians, not the audience :-D

I get your point, I see it this way: In this piece, there is absolutely no requirement for a conductor, especially since it's a string orchestra, they should have absolutely no problem playing together. His main purpose is to get the most emotions and energy out of the players, and I can tell you, if I'd been sitting there, he would've succeeded as well. I personally love it when conductors get completely consumed by the music.
