Yes! I really like that you've branched out into unbiased product reviews. And I admire that you're not engaging in affiliate marketing,. Your integrity is far more valuable than any income from endorsements.
Forty seven years ago, a city boy, moved onto a Montana cattle ranch. Fixing fence was one of my jobs... miles and miles of fence! I bought my Texas Fence Fixer 10 years ago and at the time, I didn’t even own a fence! But after my experience with fixing fences in my younger days, and seeing how it worked, I had to have that tool! I love my Texas Fencer, it works! 👍🏻👍🏻
Senior citizen here in Irvine California living in a condo. That said I think showing product testing is great because it's your testing in your situation instead of an ideal situation. I have to use a channel lock sometimes to open my V8 juice LOL
I like your integrity about not letting them dictate the results ... Honest reviews ... especially like how you break down the cost of things on your channel ... Great Job Mike
"I'm not here to sell the product" he says in his silky butterscotch voice. I live in an apartment in the city but Mike has me wanting a wire tightener and some cat claws anyways.
We've had a Texas fence fixer for about 5 years now and never doubted buying it I'm from East Texas so it comes in handy when a tree falls on the fence or something like that and I enjoyed watching y'all video
Just my 2 cents here. Your goal on the channel is to show where our food comes from and in the end help farmers correct? That’s how I take it anyways. To me if you don’t use your platform to show new products and potential ways to cut costs or make things easier then you wouldn’t be helping farmers to their full potential. I have seen both of those products and thought ah it’s just a gimmick. But by watching you use them I get a free look at it and by getting your opinion I can now purchase with some peace of mind simple because I value and trust your opinion. So I’m all for some of these videos and would appreciate them as well. Thanks for the videos as always!
I’ll watch every review you post because you’re an honest man, a seasoned rancher and you’re not going to blow smoke up our skirts. We all need help with fixing things out there.
Thanks for your informative video. I have used the Texas Fence Fixer for probably 6 or 7 years. I love it! Getting up in years, and always repairing by myself on 770 acres in north central Texas. It is most appropriate for loose, slack wires, but is also great for broken wires. If you can’t pull the ends together enough, just splice on a short piece of wire and then put on the Texas Fence Fixer and the two cut ends will form the pieces that you wrap after you pull it together. If the cows knock down a lengthy section, then use your regular fence stretcher (usually orange) to make a strong long pull together. Then place your Texas Fixer in the middle of your stretcher, pull it together, and remove the regular stretcher. With the regular stretcher out of the way, you have plenty of room to wrap your ends and twist in the middle. I like to use a Phillips screwdriver to make the final middle twist, as they will get it as tightly twisted as possible and will then slide out easily. If you get the final twist really tight, then the Texas Fixer will just fall off! This tool is great! (I have no connection to the farm folks who developed this tool........I just really like what it does for me.)
Love my Texas Fence Fixer. Bought mine ten years ago and it has proven to be great investment. Jake's wire clips work well and worth the investment for hurry up and get it done work. Both are well worth the cost.
Thank you for taking the time and making the effort to create this informative video. I retired and move from the city in California and went back to America. I am learning all about living in the country and your video helped me.
Great to have tools cause you will need tools to fix things when it mess up. Fence, tractor, and other things too. I wouldn't want the fence broke down ,all your animals will get out and you will not want predators getting in your fence to get the animals. Great work and thanks for explaining . thanks for sharing the details.
I really liked today's product reviews! Anything that makes ranching easier is right up my alley! I will have to give these products a look and possibly a purchase!!
Mike , I think that you showing new gadgets n tools are beneficial to all the ranching communities. Great videos keep up coming. Stay safe n warm , God bless.
What I really like is; when you state the cost of each product (when used). I too fill out a spread sheet of cost and in the agriculture industry 2+2 always makes 4 and most cases makes 3 :). Thank you for reviewing new product(s) you come across… every penny saved is earned….
When I grew up I saw real product reviews happening. At the church social between early Sunday Service and Sunday School, the adults saw friends and would talk about things they had seen or discovered during the week. UA-cam product reviews are just the same thing, but on a narrower topic range. And sharing what you know is always good.
No question about your integrity, Mike; yes please, test away. Years (and years) ago, I spent the summer after high school on a homestead (not ranch) in Salida, CO. One of the chores I had to do was walk fence. I had an old pair of fence pliers and way too many staples (at the beginning of the day, anyway). Oh yeah, and a come-along. I love your "If we ignore new technology, it will march right past us." So true.
Yes, I would like to see more of these types of videos. For the small farmer that doesn't go to the trade shows to see all the new gadgets or doesn't want another magazine to look at it would be easy to miss the reviews on these items.
I have used the Texas Fence Fixer for years. I love it!!! I bought my husband one also. Yes, we have his and hers in fencing buckets! There are a number of tools I use to make fencing easier. I am older and a city girl. I also do not like fencing and seems I have a good bit to often!
I vote yes. We had never heard of the Texas fence fixer. I struggle with our old fence puller. Also, I got a tool you previously used fixing fence. Much easier than a screw driver. Anything that makes the job easier and can justified by cost, is a plus for us! You are educating not only people who are learning about agriculture but the old times too, smile!
Absolutely do reviews on tools/products. American made tools in particular that can help the American rancher/farmer/homestead. We gotta support our own.
Very cool tools buddy...thanks for showing us! Like some have said below...reviews and videos like this ring true to your audience...we know you're honest and will always stay true to yourself! Awesome video!
100% yes sir. Please its like teaching and learning. Thank You. Your honesty would never make me think anything but good of you. Your Fan George Deltaville, Va
I've seen the videos designed to sell you a Texas Fence Fixer. Would be interested in a real world in depth look at its pros and cons. Do appreciate your letting us tag along for the overview of both of these products. I can see how both would be money well invested. Thanks for all your time and willingness to pass along your experiences. Been in the cattle business for less than two years, so definitely appreciate your candor. Keep 'em coming, Mike!
honest reviews never go un wasted hun go for it hugsssss from Ontario Canada.........i live in apt i live in a wheelchair i dont farm but i do grow food on my balcony i will never use the stuff you review but i love watching anything about farming
Hi Mike, I do like your product reviews. You have introduced a number of very helpful things to me over the last couple of years. Things I didn’t know existed. The jakes tightener I use frequently. The calf resuscitator I hope I don’t have to use, but have on hand. The little egg washer gets its work out frequently, and I now know about the tire seal goop if I need to reseat a tire bead on my baler. YES, please keep sharing. I have learned a lot from you. Thank you Mike! Tab Norris
Hi, Mike you are a great worker, always your family . You always fixing something for those beautiful looking animals. I love that garden , with all those healthy vegetables,.that I can used in them big hogs . Even that great meat and good milk from your 🐄. I just love your videos. Great land . Keep Up That Great Work 😄.
It's always helpful for someone to show us a tool that are using in real life where we don't have to spend our money to buy the thing and find out that doesn't work.
Yup I like the testing products videos. As a matter of fact, that’s how I found your awesome channel, the video you did on stock tank heater reviews.. I was in the market and your channel came up on my google search.. Keep em coming Mike..
PLEASE keep sharing reviews and experiments! We can't grow without knowledge! As a homesteader that is still working on just a mile of fencing, that $0.32 for the cats claw was a stretch, but I could see where it might be useful. Thank you!
I normally wouldn't agree with these videos simply because the person doing them is usually forced one way or another to be a sales person but you are clear from the start that's not your choice and I trust your review on things so I think it's a great idea to start posting about product reviews.
I trust your opinion and am always looking for ways to make things easier. I am constantly fixing fences. The texas fence tool looks real handy. Thanks for another great video.
I like the review video. Always good to see new products and new ideas to fix the same ol problems but in a new way. Those out takes were pretty good lol
Mike, thanks for the review of the cat's claw and texas fence tool. I enjoy some tool reviews and have learned considerable from You tube videos. Yes, some reviews of good tools will be appreciated.
Our Wyoming Life, just say it... Thanks Mike, unbiased product reviews are great, I might not use many of the things you review, but I remember... and when I see a friend that might need something that you reviewed, I can pass it along... keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing the preg check video soon.
Heck yeah I'd like to see more of this content. It's good to see how these products may or may not work but it fits right in as part of every day life on the ranch. Great stuff as always and the bloopers the end are great. Throw those in anytime you can!
Definitely like to see reviews on tools that can make a rancher's life easier
Or just someone workimg.on thir own Property
Reviews are great! especially from someone who is honest and trustworthy
Yes! I really like that you've branched out into unbiased product reviews. And I admire that you're not engaging in affiliate marketing,. Your integrity is far more valuable than any income from endorsements.
Totally agree!
I just love innovation of basic Problems by people who are there faced with the issue and come up with a solution
Necessity is the mother of invention.

Honest and trustworthy reviews from someone with integrity are few. Good work
"I'm not here to sell the product" he says in his silky butterscotch voice. I live in an apartment in the city but Mike has me wanting a wire tightener and some cat claws anyways.
heh heh...so true!
$$$
Hahahahaha .. hammerslap that’s so funny 😂
I'm a rancher, and I know a bunch more who would love a guy who owns his on tools and knows how to tighten a fence line. Beer money, get on it!!
Definitely want your opinion on all rancher type products
Nothing wrong with passing on information about tools that make your life easier.
A YES to product reviews. Also bloopers are a great addition.

Jakes made me a hero with my wife. She couldn't believe how much better they made fixing a fence.

Definitely yes. Never saw the new stuff before, I just hand splice using the stretcher. Cheap but not always great splice.

This video really helpful. The cat's claw was something new to me and I think it will save me a lot of time and man power.
Yes I like the reviews! Lots of new products out there. And yes I'm still watching the ads.

Very informative! Love that I can trust your evaluation of the products!
Thanks for the video! There are so many different products out there, its difficult to keep up with them all.

I don't think you can escape "Product Reviews". Products are just parts of life. Any life.
I say yes to honest reviews of products we all could use on farms or ranches
Enjoyed the vid! Learning something new is always a good thing!
