Another Fantastic Video. A huge difference between the good and bad players is the footwork. The better your footwork, the better position you are in to hit high quality shots. Time to practice!!!!

Loved the video. The punishment: 1) You must play a game with each of the other two guys in this video, 2) you must video each of the two games and post the video, and 3) you must do it playing with your right arm (instead of left). Have fun.

Maybe at top level. I've seen guys at the club dominate with no footwork, with insane wrist, serves, placement and timing. Of course, they'd be way better with footwork.

I notice the poor footwork usually corresponds with not deriving power from the legs and core. Always derive the shot from the hips, so your arm stroke won't throw you off balance for the next return.

The thing is that i can say I'm pretty fast. Like in my club other guys just stand there and hit the ball while I'm moving as much as i can to get in perfect position to have a good fh(I'm penholder). But i can't do right move with my body if the ball is at the right side from me. That's why i prefer to go faarr out of the table when they hit the ball on the right side. Well i can say that it made me love to play far out of the table but it's not that effective. That's why u have to make ur footwork perfect all the way or at some point it will mess up ur play

ride a miniscooter every day and change the legs that push it. after a few weaks/months you can practically crawl like spiderman without feeling any pain in your legs. No pain makes you move faster.
PS: I'm not joking. Everytime I hear my table tennis colleagues moan about their hurting legs, I have to 🤭.

I just don't understand why many players are TOO LAZY to move their feet. It's ridiculous.
