    MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼…………………………………………………………………………….Those cleats you put on the trailer work like a charm. I thought they might get ripped off, but they worked perfectly. The transmission in your truck makes a big difference. I test drove a regular cab 3500 with that transmission (of course I drove it like I stole it) since my wife rode with me in the regular cab , the salesman sat that ride out. I couldn’t believe the difference. At that time Ram offered a manual and two different automatics and I test drove all three. I wanted a manual, so that’s what I bought, but the Aisin transmission made a world of difference.

    I really like that truck. Those grommets work great. I always hate loading a dozer on a trailer that didn't have them. And yes I've slid off a couple of times. Nothing like riding a D6D or D8H as there sliding off the side of a trailer.😂 It doesn't take much moisture especially frost to make your butt cheeks to get real tight. I thought you would let Jimmy load his dozer. 🤣 Truck and trailer looks good together. Has Sam tried to buy the trailer yet.😂 Can't wait to see how the Church drainage goes but it's some nice weather right now. Hopefully you can get finished before the rain comes. I think your truck looks great with that dozer behind it! I was thinking the dozer was too far forward. Actually the dozer is probably in the right spot but the axles are too far back for a gooseneck. Doesn’t really matter, that truck and trailer look great!!!
    I’m pretty sure the truck does some modulation with the trailer brakes. New brakes usually adjust up a lot tighter after a good load on the trailer and they seem to grip the drum a lot better after some heat. I was glad the brakes just needed adjusting to get them working enough.
    Looking forward to the T-shirts!

    Just for conversation, that dozer on that trailer would raise some DOT eyebrows up here in PA. Even if legal width is 102", that blade is too far past the edge of the trailer. I bet your trailer is 96" wide. I have a similar dozer, blade is 124", fully angled on a trailer is right at legal width of 102", but up here the DOT can still issue a citation for being wider than the extent of the trailer without the proper permit....

    • @smithworx1091
      @smithworx1091  8 місяців тому +1

      I've worried about the blade. From what I've read and understand (which I'm sure I'm wrong) is anything 12' needs flags and a permit. This blade is 10ft. Next time I haul it, I'm gonna put flags on it.

      It's my understanding that maximum width is 102", 8'-6" everywhere based on the FMCSA. These LGP dozers are too wide to fit properly on a 102" trailer, even loaded at a slight angle with the blade turned. A permit is required in PA for cargo over this width. But I haul it anyway! I agree, the DOT have many different interpretations on the same laws. But cargo cannot legally extend that far past the width of the trailer. Good idea about the flags. @@PurpleNovember
