The pictures of Fabi and Hikaru are both looking at Agadmator like they're enjoying the video 🥰
Are you sure, they just wanna enjoy the show? 😂
Damn, now i cant unsee it 😂
@@user-dw4dq1if1mpretty sure Hikaru also gonna watch Agad's review
#Suggestion Show clock in all the candidates games. It shows the mindset of the players during the match.

Seconded. Actually sixthed.
Kramnik is in shock.
Absolutely 😂
Interesting comment. I will start the procedure.

Agadmator: You should really burn time on this move.
Hikaru: *Spends 40 seconds on it*
3:38
We should spend time on it. Hikaru? He’s already spent time on it.
5:05 "Seems like you're just, you know, defending the knight one more time, but what you're actually doing... is exactly that."
Another Agadmator quote for the ages
😂
14:44 This trade comes with checkmate,
That's how i trade.
Looks like the bullet demon has successfully been converted to Classical demon 😂
about time ❤
Fabi parked that rook on A8 and forgot it. That rook never seen the light while Hikaru was playing with all his pieces.
There were much attacks, that rook move would be waste of tempo
@@gamer99163Rad8 instead of Nf4
@@gamer99163 I partially agree, but playing "without" a rook in a positional game is never a good idea.
@@ItalanFindart yea it's not, the rook supposed to have come in a long time but unfortunately there was no space given to let the rook in
5:46 "he spends some twenty moves on this move"
brilliant move!!! :D
😂😂😂😂👍
5:46 "he spent some twenty moves on this move"
just imaging fabi hopping around with the horsey 20+ times before landing on f6 🤣
You beat me to it, and with a funnier remake. 🤣
“There’s that famous saying from those streamer sisters, the Botez sisters. They asked Magnus how the knight moves or something like that.
So yeah, I think Fabiano needs to learn how the knight moves”
-Hikaru Nakamura 2024 (after this very game)
Lmao
Damn, maybe Fabi really did spend 20+ moves on this one move 😂
Most draws are boring, but the Nepo-Abasov end-game was breathtaking! Nepo was up a pawn and, more importantly, had a better layout, while Abasov had weaknesses that looked exploitable. I knew that I personally could not have won with Nepo's position, but I was confident Nepo would find a way to take advantage of the weaknesses in Abasov's position. And he did attack those weaknesses, but Abasov defended like an engine. Move after move Abasov found the only possible answer to Nepo's attack. I kept expecting him to play the one human-like move that would be all Nepo needed, but he just kept playing engine moves. I was in awe! If I had been defending Black that end-game I surely would have lost, not only to Nepo but to almost anyone. This game proved Abasov does deserve to be in this tournament, despite his lower ranking.
100%. Abasovs last 2 games have been unreal and further confirms that he’s well deserving of the spot. Most anyone else would’ve lost with black there.
Brilliant stuff
the Nepo Abasov game was a draw for more like 40 moves. Nepo didn't won a pawn and managed not to win. The position was a draw even if the pawn was taken. The only way for Nepo (or Abasov to win) was if the other player blundered. Like in every position the first 4-5 moves recommended by the engine was evaluated at 0.0x. Thats enough for players at Nepo&Abasov's caliber. They both were playing the 3rd,2nd or 1st best moves by stockfish for the whole game.
The problem with Abasov is that he finds himself every game defending. To win in chess you must also attack. You can defend like an engine one game, two games, but eventually you will slip. This is largely the difference between a 2500 player and a 2700.
Putin servant v Putin servant
No open windows. Yet.
Hikaru found such strong moves in little time. Amazing performance by him.
Little time, 😂 that's what he's known for, indeed the bullet god
A pointy pawn is a nice saying!
The clock! I was going to post a request in the comment section. As always Agad calculated one move ahead! :)
You are a rare gem! Thanks a lot!
He could include the clock in all the games like everybody else 🤷♂️
Love how you added the times!! Would love to see more of this feature!
The game we've all been waiting for 🤩
Agadmator sacrificed his sleep to gain some time on the clock.
14:50, there is also black Pawn to C6, then Kd7, queen exchange, just its a bishop down for black, but not a queen
I love the time addition to your board
LOVE THE CLOCK ADDITION!
Thank you for adding clock time.
Huge huge win for Hikaru, watching it live was fun, not everyday fabi gets manhandled like that at the end, it was quite a sight, felt happy for hikaru to get a big one like this, this has been a fun event
it's logical that he loses to world n3.
Thanks for clock times. I think that this is good addon for tournament like this
Thanks!

White is up Rook a Bishop and a pan. Still completely winning, but it's not either chackmate or lose the Queen for the knight
I really enjoy when the clock times are in the videos. :)
You should definitely keep the clock times an all next videos, the are helpful
Really excellent battle
Thx
14:26 After Knight d5 then pawn c5 attacking the queen and after queen takes knight d7 forcing a queen trade
Thanks.
11:00 "the role of a pointy pawn". LOL
A study piece for sure😎
Ne7+ than Nd5 what a combination of moves by Hikaru it’s what makes him special the tactics he’s capable of that was Brilliant of him spotting that sequence of moves
I miss the dog you always had sitting in the background. What happened to him?
Yes! Where is Meadow?!
Agad has stated that Meadow is older and can't make it up the stairs anymore
*Medo, meaning Bear in Croatian
He doesn't like coming upstairs anymore. He is a bit older now
Thanks for the update. Still miss the old 'Bear'...he was always there in the videos, snoozing in the background.
After this game, Fabi isn't 2800 anymore in live ratings 😢😢😢 Hope he makes it up again!
After Nd5 there is the move ...c5. After Qxc5 Nd7. This leads to Black being a piece down but its better than mate or Botez gambit
Yeah that was a puzzle rush moment.
Great tactics by Hikaru. Fabi's gotta tighten up these last 6 games
Finally Agad added players clock. Appreciated 👍👍
It takes time to add the clocks.
The timings are always important!
It would be nice if you could include them always.
Agad is adding his own playing lines 😂😂👍
I watched Hikarus' channel on this game, explaining his thoughts/decision making...interesting! but I like to watch on here, as well...both interesting and entertaining👍
The Buzzer was seen weeping after Hikaru's victory.
The last player at the highest level to play ..f5 in positions like these was Karpov, and he did it only once or twice, because in those days not as much was known about chess, and he regarded it as "aggressive", rather than the more accurate "suicidally double-edged: do not do this against Kasparov".
He was lucky to ascape with draws.
Fabi already lost 4 times in a row againts hikaru now, he got that hikaru effect on him just like how hikaru got magnus effect everytime he played magnus.
lost against him with black 4 times in a row*
@@slime_entertainment_inc. lost with black 4 times in a row
@@slime_entertainment_inc. Yeah I know, I just tell you the correct one
What's weird about the photo is that, even though they're playing over the board, Hikaru's hand is still in the mouse-click position.
Glad Hikaru's back in the running.
This is the kind of chess Hikaru should have been trying to play from the start. Not "playing it safe"; Not trying to find some clever novelty in prep. But just always playing for positions with chances, and waiting for his opponent to give him opportunities.
Those do seem to be the times when Hikaru does his best work.
He's good in positional and attack
I am foreseeing a 2013 candidates tournament like situation in the final rounds.
Cool idea @Agadmator to be able to see the clock time for each player after every move
New game on move 8 in a ruy? Awesome
finally its my first video to watch at 1st as its uploaded 10 sec ago ❤
Awesome Analysis #suggestion Anatoly Karpov vs Evgeny Gik "To Trick Gik" - Moscow ch-stud (1968), rd 5 Sicilian Defense: Dragon Variation. Yugoslav Attack Main Line
A pointy pawn 😂
Clocks was a nice improvement
What a brilliant game by Hikaru!
Pictures are very accurate of what happend in the game. This was a slutter man... he just made Caruana looks small. Preety sick stuff.
In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity.
We would love to see clocks in all candidate matches 😁
On the picture there are additional two queens behind the table
Its 7 am here. Just woke up and boom! Hello everyone
Caruana staring to fade in the Candidates yet again ?
Watching these dreadnoughts fighting is incredible.
Funny thing is if Ding was in this tournament he would be at the bottom of the standings. Lol
"life is good for white" "his bishop is playing the role of a pointy pawn"
Sheering for Fabi.
LFG!
A nice victory by the speed demon. I noticed in the photo that Hikaru is sporting Starbucks coffee. The size is Grande, he is implying that he is the "Great One" and disrepecting Fabi. However Hikaru backed up this statement today.
Same game..which they played last year..now the player changed results changed 😂
Hikaru with two inspired games in a row, even though the last was a draw.
14:50 he could show c5, it does not work but still is interesting
btw, If Nakamura is referring to Caruana's pupils getting huge, everyone has that tell. If you're introduced to someone and their pupils do that, they're into you -- it is THAT reliable. It's why poker players, with a few exceptions, wear sunglasses.
Also Re3 isn't a blunder, but the computer considers it a mistake: it drops the evaluation from around .80 in White's favor to equality. But ...Nf4 is not the way, precisely because of h4! where the only move for Black that avoids giving White a large advantage is the hard-to-find Qd8. The next few moves show why.
Both heavyweight were sleeping in last candidate 😂😂
Not only has Hikaru defeated Fabi 4 times in a row, he did it with the same exact opening. This day could not have gone better for Hikaru
he played the fried liver in norway chess
Not bothered by the lock time. A nice touch tho
#Suggestion Cohn, J. vs. Chiszar, C., 1944. I don't want to give anything away but this game really deserves to be featured on this channel
Damn, my maaaannnnn, Fabi. 😢
So carlsen's prediction about hikaru is gonna prevail? 😂
His prediction about Gukesh is already off.
@@09kaustubh gukesh will fizzle out, hes a joke
@@dryfizz9969cry more 🤡
@@namikazeswapnil671 can't wait for crybaby to cry more like he did against alireza, that was HILARIOUS 🤣
@@dryfizz9969 what sad life one must have to talk shit about a 17 year old boy, who is the 2nd youngest player to play candidates and hold table topper position after half way of the tournament ? Somehow the game of smartness attracts the stupidest people as audience.
I think Stockfish showed that black could play C5 late in the game to keep it going, although still dead lost. the point being to make the white queen take it, then Nxf6 is met with Nxc5 and you trade off queens, but then white has Nxe8 at the end and is just up a piece and a pawn and will definitely convert it easily
I had high hopes for Fabi this tournament....He can still turn it around but he seems to be playing very defensive chess in every game. I'm not expert and don't claim to be but it seems to me that he has no attacking ideas at all.
Hikaru did really well. Played brilliantly. He's obviously been working hard to reach another level.
Well done for adding the clock on the board.
Yessssss🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉love to see Hikaru win
Fabi is playing timidly, not to lose. Nepo definitely would’ve taken that pawn on g2. Brilliant attack by Hikaru anyway after Fabi started retreating.
"Fabi's bishop is playing the role of a pointy pawn" Agadmator 2024
FABIANO LUIGI CARUANA! I am assigning you the task of working on your poker face!
in 11:32 what happened if black goes nd7 attack the rook and then nf6
At 14:25 why can't fabiano play pawn c5?
The hunter becomes the hunted🤣
Watching 3rd recap, 1st Levy, 2nd Hikaru and 3rd Agad.
Instead of resign, Fabi could've played c5, and then if Qxc5, attack Queen with Ne6! This also covers mate on f8.
If Naka takes with pawn (d:c) there is still time to get out of jam.
When i see your notification my day get brightened, insane explanation and the way you give us the information. Keep up the good work agad
Another case of the ultimate dilemma:
You are getting checkmated or you can sac your Queen and THEN get checkmated.
no comment on "his eyes got big". As for the result, it is a good chance for Hikaru to win this time round as the field favors him (no increment in the first 40 moves). He certainly seems to have bounced back from a stage-fright start and he is definitely in with a chance now, a good chance. As others have commented re the unlikely aspect of a player that excels in bullet to also might in classical, I would not concern about it too much. It is possible, it is a challenge and Hikaru wil be the better man for it in the sense that it might still not be easy to go to the "dark-side" of bullet and come back to tell the tale. We'll see. Round 9 is up haven't checked any of the games yet.
"Agad" us starting to BABBLE almost as much as LEVY.
I remember, somebody said “When Fabiano start thinking, then he is losing”
This shows the small margins between a win, a draw and a loss. Fabi's queen looked misplaced and Hikaru's king's rook won the day. Minor miscalculations by Fabi and Nakamura on his game led to victory. Can he keep it up and will Fabi come back? Can they catch the steady Ian? I am excited to find out.
This trade comes with checkmate 😅
It would be nice if before showing the game analysis, wherever possible, you give a bit of background of the past face off between the two players, like their head-to-head score in the relevant or in all formats. I am sure that although it might take a couple of minutes of your time, but it would add a lot of value to the videos. Just a suggestion.
