I really loved this interview. Tammy is a beautifully wise and lovely lady. Also, are you familiar with Dietrich Bonhoeffer? Look him up. You look just like him. Eric Metaxas wrote an amazing book about him. Highly recommend.
How to make a Mormon head explode- “is this the right church? Well I don’t know that. How can you know that?“ 🤯 you were a very respectful interviewer I don’t know if I could have restrained myself.
You got Tammy Peterson! Wow! Love her! ❤️ I love her outreach to the world trying to bring the feminine back into the world and in a way that balances with the partnership of the masculine. I think she is a great example of partnership with her husband and a good woman behind every good man. I could see how our LDS doctrine of the eternal family and our Heavenly Mother could be reassuring to her especially how it seems the feminine seems to be calling her. I’m so grateful for the The Proclamation of the Family that the prophets and apostles put out to help us navigate the ideal. I love seeing other people of faith through the spirit testifying to the family proclamation without even having knowledge of it. Truth is truth.
“Truth is truth!” I’m adopting that simple phrase. I think our Mother in Heaven would have been a controversial topic 100 years ago. Now our society seems ready for Her. I have been feeling her and I’m so grateful to hear others recognizing her and the value of mothers in the world.
Wow! Ben! Just, wow! This is one of the absolute best interviews I have ever, in my life, listened to! So deeply profound. This is the first time I have heard Tammy speak, and as I listened to her - her thoughtful responses, her cadence, her nuance - and compared it to her husband, I kept hearing in my mind Jesus's prayer over his disciples "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee..." (John 17:21). What a phenomenal example of that unity.
So glad that you enjoyed this one, I fear that UA-cam has - as it does with all Peterson content - shadow banned it slightly; as the reach was lesser than expected; but I’m glad it reached you!
25:35 Sacrifice of the maiden role into the mother role. She gives up herself to motherhood, and it’s multitude of sacrifices. New hormones. New emotions. New instincts. New brain activity. New mental focus. The world is seen differently with new eyes to see. New bodily functions. New recovering post partum body. It’s a physical, mental, spiritual transformation. What to teach the child about the world and how to guide growth appropriately in a way that serves the child to achieve, without diminishing others in the process, is why church likes mothers and children. Helps if we all sing the same tune.

Haha. I thought that at this level just having the dialogue was important!

So glad you enjoyed it and hope you found value in it!
…is it just me?! 🤷🏻♀️
Interesting to hear her draw conclusions that so closely resemble the angel's words to Nephi about the two churches.
Yes very interesting!
