You know what I wish I wish that the people with negative comments on this car quit there comments with a picture of what they're driving that are so wonderful and worth the money so the rest of us can cut those down
So your idea is no one can have an opinion, unless what it matches yours? Most of what you call negative comments here are just pointing out things that justify it not being a 30K car. Are any saying they don't like the car or it is junk? You are free to love this car and the price, calm down.
The good mopars, 68-70 super bee's!!!
Hi All- I feel the video did an honest job of showing what the car needed. At the end of the day, there were people standing in line, trying to buy this number's matching car in F8 Green. It brought close to asking price.
Nice presentation with honesty. I see a lot of people cutting it down and I feel sure most of them couldn't buy it for $10k. Hope you were able to sell for a fair price. Good looking Super. Bee !
$ 30,000 is a lot to pay out for car in rusting down stage, my advice take it to a good body shop, and guaranteed there will be more rust than advertised. I'm a 30 year body man, done many muscle cars that ended up 50% over budget. Until you tear them down you don't really know what your dealing with.
looked like she needs shocks and springs too, boingdee boingdee..down the road.. BUT.. it is a pretty rare car, and it's a seller's market.
O ya. I'm. In the industry as well.
30 k no way my friend.
It sure appears to have been a rust country car, I see rust in lots of places. Not a body man here but with my experience I would hope to not have to pay 30K for that, but a decent driver for say 20K..
for 30,000 icould build you some real Xtra fun machines
@@_Ramen-Vac_ The road had holes all over it
Nicely done video. I think you did a great job of telling the good and the bad, you were very honest. Very nice looking car.
Has a Plymouth steering wheel !!! Love Mopars...Mopar restorer and collector here !! Own too many to count lol..
You sure?
MOPAR TO YA!💪👍
Lovely noise. Thank you for not putting music over it.
If it's "only" $160 for the lower quarter panel, why not just replace it? Oh that's right, because you need a good bodyman with a plasma cutter, a welder, a repaint, and a new stripe, so the $160 panel cost is really closer to a couple thousand. Nice try. Can't blame a guy for trying, I guess. That being said, I'd own this in a heartbeat, not to make a profit, but to drive. And also, what's up with the tach redlining when you're going like 30 mph? lol
In 1969 the 383 could have the N96 RAMCHARGER HOOD as a option. In 1969 the hemi came stock with the N96 RAMCHARGER HOOD but the 440 with the sixpack was a mid year option and it came with the 4 pin glass hood only .
When I was a kid in the 70's; I remember this car had 150 mph on the dash. It
could actually outrun a state trooper's car. My friends brother had a yellow
model with all the bells and whistles (440 engine).
Steve Allred the A727 WASTHE FIRST AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION TO SHIFT FASTER THEN A HUMAN . MANY BACK THEN IEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY .
I'm guessing 20 or more for it.so as nice as it is an I was selling it,speedometer, the oil leak, horn,an header leak would be fixed, those small things could make you lose a few thousand or the sell...
Roger they used the same grill three different models that's why the grills have extra holes.
Yeah I done a lot of body work in the last 62 years but its still worth 25k.
The VIN #are under the driver's side trunk weather seal on the body. you have remove the seal to see it .
In 1968 the Dodge Super Bee came with two engine options 383 4v and the Hemi 2x4 you had to buy the Dodge Coronet R/T to get a 440 4v in 68
Same in 69?
“Let’s talk about the cool stuff first” everything about it is cool
John
Thanks Jerry I appreciate it
Great looking ride love the original colour 🤩❤️nicely done video...!!
Man she's a beautiful car.
A lot of the work could be done by a good detailer, polishing stainless and painting stuff like the center console (I don't mean any of the rust, which there's 10000 of repair)
You're not gonna miss a gas station with that stall of 3000.
no need for a stall that high in it , only needs 2200-2400
@@7REDDRACO7 Everyone has their preferences, but I had a 3000 in my 390 Fairlane, similar cam, and I took it back to about a 2000 or so. With the high stall it seemed like it was stalled 90% of the time and was weird to me. I don't build a car to impress others only myself. You are right this Bee doesn't need so much and would actually drive better with a lower stall. That motor has so much torque it does not need help to get it into the torque band unless drag racing.
The engine definitely has some tapping going on whether the valves need adjusting or something deeper in the engine and possibly a dripping of oil or some other liquid coming from the engine . I would be hard pressed to pay the asking price with what this vehicle has going on and that's with the capabilities of repairing the electrical, interior, body&paint, engine & exhaust headers one self .
Hi- listening to the video, it could actually be lifter noise as well, can definately hear the exhaust noise when your head is under the hood. I just aquired the car, so just getting to know it. If interested, you can make an offer. Thanks, Jason
1armedguy Probalby just needs a Valve Lash.
My dad had the same model in blue with white stripes (he bought it new in 1969)
Well Fred C. I'm glad you commented on my comment apparently you didn't read all of my comments about this car basically the comment that you were commenting on was strictly to the people that don't have a clue about anything when it comes to cars if you saw my one comment I said cars are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them whether it's $1,000 or $100,000 that's how the world revolves now I'm sure you're an expert and what 1969 Dodge super bees go for and apparently Hagerty do not have as much knowledge of a 1969 Super Bee cuz they say the cards worth more than $30,000 but I'm sure you have a whole Warehouse full of 69 super bees so that your an expert on what they go for in what conditions if you go on the websites that sell 1969 Super Bees you'll find a lot of them can't even be repaired without replacing the whole car and they still ask for $14, 500
Too bad it didn't have the 440! Still a nice looking car!
69 coronet superbee is the toughest mopar ever. (Well 68-70 b-bodies)
I Miss Both Mine'💧Nice Ride!_ Straight To The No More Rust Shop✌🇺🇸👍
no way $30 k with rust. i saw a gorgeous 68 bee at the kissimmee car show last week flawless for $25k, you can find these at gateway classic cars all day in perfect showroom cond for $35-39k. turn key show room
Yes Fred C.if you wanted a440 4 bbl in a Coronet body style car u couldn't get it in a SUPER BEE u had to get a R/T mid year Dodge offered a 440 six pack but not a 440 4bbl
That's a beautiful car. But makes me think it's original white that vin plate should be green.
shane8911 he did say that it was painted
The fender tag was painted white so you could read it easier if you look at the fender tag it's marked f8 green top bottom in inside
My dream car
Sweet ride!:)
John
Is the top of that air cleaner painted the E8 green or is it chrome reflecting the color of the hood underside? The car has some flaws but fully restored to Concours condition it would be worth about 58k (twice as much). In Excellent condition about 45k. Good about 36k and fair about 26k. (Values from Hagerty). Deduct a few dollars for the 383 motor and auto trans., but add a few for the matching numbers. Hard to know the full condition by watching a video; need to personally inspect and drive, so I'm not going to comment as to value, but it's certainly more than some suggestions in the comments below.
Those wheels will polish up like brand new, with neverdull, dude you need a good detailer
A very honest presentation , I would pay asking price just for that !. Can't buy any more toys tho , wife would divorce me on the spot , and then I wouldn't have any toys. Lol
Hey nowadays the male might get the big half in the divorce lol
Then your wife must not have good taste in cars.
speddo has been unhooked since 1970
And you know because you were there
The oil spot was not from this car it was from another one from the barn.
Sweet ride .. 383 automatic is not really in collectors wheelhouse. But non the less in 10 years possibly
Robert I'd like to know what you think is in collectors wheelhouse if a 69 Super Bee with a 383 automatic isn't
@@keithdugan102 Keith we know that all of these cars are collector cars.
I thought the '69 Dodge Superbee was a nice looking car. I would have liked to buy one with a deluxe interior at the time, but all I could afford (on navy E-4 pay at the time) was a stripped down '69 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 automatic ($2,630 in July of '69 when I bought it new). However, one consolation was that my stock 340 dart was quicker (at least the ones I raced in informal street races) than the stock 383 Superbees, Road Runners, Chargers due to its better power to weight ratio, as the Swinger, while advertised at 275 HP, was actually re rated by the AHRA to 325 HP.
I would rather have the 340 Swinger and will eat damn near anything stock to stock. Would have loved to own one!
Very nice video and a thumbs up liked.
Don’t matter if it has small issues, but I think you are selling that at the half of the price it’s worth. You should be asking $40,000 you don’t see to many of them.
Depends on the motor, 383 is not the most sought out motor.
once you get in to the rust thousands to correct
Well Larry I think you should put some pictures of your super nice vehicles and the site so we can see what they look like cuz I don't believe you know what you're talkin about
Awesome B
Very nice car👍🏽
Nice oil leak under the front at the beginning
Excellent commentary! ! You make a good sales men.
AWESHOME car! im surprised it isn't 50,000 asking price, if it were perfect. you have to pump those brakes and modify the brake pedal arm for more leverage. the steering in a manual is virtually the same as power assist because of the ratio difference- except if trying to steer with the car not moving at all and only stupids do that. nice survivor car/ minor flaws that can be fixed and panels welded in/ rebuilt everything nicer/ 500hp engine overhaul sleeper build. speedo fixed/ interior is nice ,then 30,000. its got nice weld wheels on it.
Cars are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them .Maybe someone thinks its worth $100,000
These cars hate ethanol.
Green car but white fender tag !🤔
Any more of these. I got cash
$8500.00 make sure gas tank is full.
no stock rims
Well you realize there not stock rims did you have to figure that out from a brochure
Does this have the 440 or 383? I think N96 Ramcharger Opt was available with both engines.
Yes it was available on both 383 and 440 cars. This ones an "H" code WM 383.
N 96 Carb Fresh Air Ramcharger option was on about 53% of the H codes, whereas Side Scoops were on only 23% of the cars. So it has some cool, more rare options. Thanks, Jason the appraiser
You could not get a 1969 Super Bee with a 440 engine and the twin scoop ramcharger hood. For 1969, the 440 was only available as part of the A12 package, which had the lift off fiberglass hood. 383 was standard, the 426 was optional, and 440 six pack (A12) was a mid-year option. No 440-4barrel option.
Well Shane if it was a fender tag painted yellow with purple dots is that mean the car should be that color .Maybe learn how to read fender tags it tells u what color its supposed to be.
It's a shame it's not a stick shift
Nice car man, I love the color and it sounds horny
At first that car looks good but that car has a lot of rust going on just by visually looking at it.
I’am sure if the paint was removed there would be a lot more rust to show up.
It has oil dripping from the engine area. Needs some gages replaced or electrical work or both. The dash near the widow on the drivers side looked really bad but was hard to see because the camera moved to fast.
I be hard pressed to pay very much for that car it needs a complete restoration, It’s time!
I noticed you was driving it around with no plates.
I’am thinking you bought this from someone just to turn it around and make a
quick buck $
How much do you want for that 15 thousand dollar car?
14!
3:20 oil
John sowellwolf
That car is absolutely NOT “all original”.
Sorry but this guys dreaming, undercoating is a Red Flag, with new paint, just from this video I’m seeing about 15,000 to put it right.
That looked like undercoating, coating rust!! Same junk over the rear end. The owner either bought it as a looker, but less than car not knowing or just kind a did a cosmetic job for personal use. I just can't see 30K, there are cars quite a bit better for 30K.
Where are the rear vin# located?
Were all Superbees 383?
No. Some had 440's and a few had Hemi's.
@@Deucealive75 The two stock engines in 69 were the 383 Magnum and the 426 hemi. In May of 69, the A12 option, the 440 Magnum six pack, was made available.
I bought one in 1980 for $200 red white stripe black interior rust free used it for backroads never insured it Hid it for 15 years after I stole it back from the impound
somebody painted over rust.... 99 dollar paint job
Nope, well sort of..They did body work and bondo then paint,it was smooth and looked like new...The car looked great with paint but several years later the rust does come out and you see what you see...
They didnt just paint over the rust bubbles etc...Yes,they painted over the rust but sanded it out smooth added bondo that covered the rust and you couldnt tell it had rust...This is what they did in the 80's and 90's..Sucked when you looked at a car and it had no rust, then years later bubbles appeared !
Maaco
@@01trsmar Agree. Even the slightest amount of rust (if not removed) remains organic and will grow.
@@Moparmaga-1 I understand that. I was jus joking around. It's a gorgeous car. I'd give my left pinky toe for it
For that price I could ride faster in modern muscle, and Power everything with AC.
Put it to rest those dinosaurs are shamed by modern technology muscle cars. Gas mileage also. That lead sled would not do 160 if you dropped it out of a airplane!
@@minuteman5369 go tell it on the mountain ⛰ shove the new crap were the sun don't shine 🥱
John
John sowellwolf has is great in I area APP 👍and he will make a good way, very
There 2 hole beside superbee in grill something missinh
Roger Mcgrady Did the Super Bee and R/T have the same grille?
My friend had a 69 Bee that looked better than this one and he got he car painted
If the car was perfect. I could see that price or even a bit more. But your too high .
Well it sure would be nice if you folks that talk out your butt would actually look up some of the information on this car before making idiots of yourself go to Hagerty classic cars and actually see in this condition what the car is worth there's cars on eBay that need a total rebody that are going for 17 grand
No professional appraises a classic '69 by a book, it goes by full inspection and even by just the video this one is not 30K in the current market.
poor body work project car
He wouldn't know good body work from bad body work I think you should stick to your paper and crayons
Those ugly rims
