You all should check out the app called Smule. You can sing live with anyone in the world have different voice effects and you can open your own sessions and whoever wants to sing with you can hit the mic snd sing basically whatever song you want no matter what genre while others who wants to listen or also sing they can be in audience or be on the waitlist. Pretty Badass app.

I came here to see if you had a way to get around latency. It's just not possible, at least not without 5G, to connect to a video call and get accurate latency with respect to music rhythm.

It’s a challenge for sure but I know a guy who has conquered the latency issue. This is more of a fun simple way to freestyle with friends. You can see the video right before this one as an example of what it sounds like. My audio is a little low in it but the rhythm isn’t too off so everyone has a good time and most people don’t notice.
For trying to record a pro song together at the same time, it wouldn’t work that well. But for fun freestyle sessions with everyone rapping on the same beat it’s great.

@@HowToFreestyleRap I guess I'll have to check it out and see for myself, but when I've seen professional music artists attempt to perform duos, whether it's vocal with guitar or what have you, there tends to be a seemingly impassable issues with mitigating the latency between the two parties.

Yes, zero latency is super important when singing over someone else’s guitar or instrument. Freestyle sessions for fun where people take turns it’s not really a big deal.

@@HowToFreestyleRap Okay, I see how that's working now. It seems that driving audio directly from the computer seems to get around the latency that would normally come from -for example- me playing the beat on my speakers but it being recorded through my computer audio the same way that my voice is being recorded thorough to the final synthesis.
That's pretty nifty, so it seems like we can do background tracks and take turns as musicians, as long as we don't channel the audio through our mics.
