He was my orpheus, and definitely my favourite one, thank you so much for uploading this. His voice is so sweet and powerful at the same time, just like how i'd imagine orpheus' voice to be
best and cleanest clip of j Antonio's orpheus I've ever heard, he sounds absolutely wonderful. Would love Chant Reprise if you got it, MPQ's "I CONDUCT THE ELECTRICT CITY" is something I very much wanna hear again ngl
Just saw Matthew Quinn with the year 3 cast and he didn’t do the knee move, so I’m guessing it was a choice they made for this particular actor pairing.
@@Krillinish2yep saw it today and can confirm he didn’t go down on his knees. I think this Persephone is shorter and it’s probably just a choice they made for these two in particular.
@@davidnguyen478 He kneeled at my show in Sacramento too. It broke me. The blocking was quite different for this scene in this video, though mostly the same cast (at least Hades and Orpheus).
I think this is the same Hades and Hermes I saw in Providence, but I don't think the others are the same (maybe Persephone but didn't hear her voice to be sure)? I really loved our Orpheus, wish I knew who it was -- but this one is great too, interesting to hear his different interpretations of certain moments in the songs.
This national touring ensemble was phenomenal! I saw them at the Orpheum in San Francisco during a Sunday matinee, then at the Civic Performing Arts Center in Sacramento a week later. They did a fantastic job on both days! Matthew Patrick Quinn definitely makes for a gnarly-good Hades, as does J. Antonio's Orpheus. Such a stunning musical theatrical experience. :D

Same
Same. I *adored* him.
He’s my fav as well.
The part at 4:13 is my favorite rendition I've heard. His voice is so powerful and piercing it's like he's trying to pierce into Hades' emotions.

Saw him last night in Charlotte.. all of them.. sooo good!
This litterally made me cry his voice is so incredible
Do you have more of Matt Quinn? Loooved him as Hades. He is also SO tall, adds to the imposing presence
I just got back from Hadestown and definitely felt blessed to have him as our Hadestown
Same dude I love him i just got to see him last night it was amazing
J Antonio is incredible!
I really loved the cast for this version
Holy crap between this Orpheus and Chibueze (who I saw back in 2022) the touring cast has been stacked
Oh man this was the cast I saw and I've been trying to track down recordings of them, especially MPQ as Hades - do you have the full show?
OMG Hades going down on his knees at the end made me gasp! Love Matthew ❤ (Do you have the full boot? 🙏)

i think it’s such a beautiful sight to see. hades kneeling to his wife begging for forgiveness while she holds him made me cry.
