Everybody on this comment is dead wrong. Beatty said "SOCIALISM". That ain't Trump and that ain't Biden. Unless you're talking about socialism for corporate American and the 1%
I recommend this movie all the time whenever I meet someone with budding interest in politics. It helped shape my political mindset, hopefully it can influence more. Lots of relevance in this movie even over 20 years after it was released.
After watching Todd in the Shadows' review of Ghetto Superstar, I have been intrigued by the film Bulworth. And the more clips I watch the more I want to watch this movie.
Kinda predicted Trumps future playbook! Bochner is perfect as his opponent 😂 thank god Platt had control over the buildings...as seen today in Congress!
There's a bunch of people commenting on Bulworth videos making Trump comparisons. Literally nothing that the character advocates in this film was ever advocated by Trump, the delusion is staggering.
The MAGA cult will find any way to keep the delusion going. It’s pathetic. Trump hired Goldman Sachs people, insurance industry folks, oil/gas lobbyists, etc. MAGA knows this but after years of chanting “drain the swamp” they can’t handle the truth. The cognitive dissonance it takes to keep the charade going requires them to fool themselves. So they knowingly lie to themselves and pretend Trump is analogous to Bulworth so they can feel warm and fuzzy. The truth is that Trump is a quintessential populist goon. His first legislative achievement was cutting taxes for the rich - that’s straight out of the Republican playbook. Hilarious.
Absolutely right. Bulworth was a decent man, corrupted, and finally succumbed to the tremendous guilt from being corrupted. Trump has been, and still is, a stupendously unapologetically corrupt piece of shit.
The only reason why this didn't get much traction is because it was too fukin honest even in that day 😂 Chech CB4 with Criss Rock you'll see the real reason why he wasn't in the spotlight for a while.😀
He should have ripped the mask off in this scene to reveal a woman under disguised as bulworth just like ghetto superstar but have a woman under the mask!
Beatie had to be doing Mushrooms or something to come up with this, but that doesn't explain why he still went thru with it after he came down. He must've had a nervous breakdown just like his charactor & just went with it. I don't even know how to characterize it. Is it a dark comedy ?
He had become a father to a little girl in the 90's and realized he had better make a statement as an actor if his little girl was going to have any chance of growing up in a better world.
Trump was the closest thing even though Bulworth has to be a Democrat to call out his own party. Maybe Biden will get such advanced dementia that he will snap and start being super honest like this. One can only hope.
@@crestfallenwarrior8435 Think you have Biden confused with Guiliani and his rapidly deteriorating mind...Trump also sold out to the religious right and Qanon and went bust with the north korea deal/summit

It’s no more relevant now than it was 20 years ago, or 50. It’s always been relevant. The system was set up this way.
Imagine Bulworth 2.0...
The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan combined with the economic housing crash of 2008.
The hilarity that would ensue.
I find Warren Beatty charming as fuck. This movie is brilliant and accurate. Bulworth was ahead of its time.
"Hey Hugh " 😄 🤣

The late Paul Sorvino (RIP) as the stunned insurance salesman. That gets me every time I see this.

Totally agree

Lmao!!!! It wasn’t ahead of its time it was at its time. People should’ve listened
Warren said it all nearly 25 years ago
This could be quite relevant to the 2016 presidential race!
This movie will continue to be relevant until we make some fundamental changes to the way our government works, mainly getting money out of politics.
Best quote from this movie is " We all need to keep fckn each other till were the same color"
It's happening. There are more mixed couples here in the US than anywhere at anytime in history. And they say we're a racist country. Pfft.
Just add IT and the internet to the screenplay of this movie and it is more relevant today than ever.

All it takes to sabotage a successful TV station is to dim the lights and lower the audio?
I'm surprised they didn't do this to Trump when he was debating Hillary 😂😂😂
Why?
Bernie Sanders is the closest politician to what Bulworth did. People comparing to Trump are just a bunch of fanatics
They are gullible. Trump clearly doesn't care about improving things for poor and working people.
