We seem to have pretty similar tastes !(except for the contemporary romances)
I have about 75 unread books (out of 305 books in total so I have a higher ratio of read books) and read about 60/65 books a year. When I used to read "only" 30 books a year, I had around 35/40 unread books so I guess the more you read, the more you buy and I have always a little more of a year worth of reading on my shelves. I would like to bring it down to like 6 months but it so hard.
I would advise you to unhaul the books you know you don't feel like you want to read anymore, it will make you feel lighter !
ps : I don't know how you can stand to have books in the same serie separated, I could never, it would drive me insane 😄

I’m definitely going to unhaul some after seeing how many I have unread because I know for sure there are some books I have that I will never read😭
I don’t really like having books separated either but sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get that aesthetic you want😂

Oh my gosh, please read the 2nd and 3rd AGGTM. They are so amazing, the second is a little slow at the beginning but it picks up and is so good. They are so worth it. The third was my favorite!!
I loved that book but never felt the need to continue for some reason, but now I definitely will !! I need to know how it could possibly get better than the first book! thank you for convincing me 😂❤️❤️

Adding this comment as a reminder for u to read The Burning God, i was spoiled the ending too but i still read it and it was so worth it. AND do not forget abt The Drowning Faith, the tiny novella(read it AFTER the burning god trust me it hurts more that way)

I feel your pain. Have a bunch of books I buy that I haven't read. Tell myself I will get there eventually, but I can only read so fast. 😭 Luckily, most of mine are digital so not a lot of shelf space taken up. I own about 1,600 Japanese light novels alone when including the whole series. Have only read around 400 though.
Percy Jackson is a fantastic series. Has been years since I have read it though so don't remember too much unfortunately. Also, was not expecting Solo Leveling at all. That really threw me for a loop when I saw that on your shelf. Never did read the manwha for it though as I read the actual novels. Who is your favorite character, Beru, Igris, or someone else?
Man I’ve read (and now watched) solo leveling in every form I love it so much. I’d say my favorite character is probably beru for sure or maybe even jinwoo himself he’s such an amazing mc can’t go wrong with that choice.
I haven’t read many light novels myself, but I have recently read The Beginning After The End and enjoyed that as well. Any recommendations? Would definitely like to read some more!
Beru, Nice choice! You have also read TBATE! 😮 IMO, the series gets really good starting at volume 6. Hard to say on recommendations because I doubt we have the same exact taste, but I’m starting to be unsure 😂
If you didn’t know Mushoku Tensei inspired TBATE. Although, the series is very polarizing due to how unlikeable the MC can be.
A few of my favorite light novels include The Eminence in Shadow, 7th Time Loop, Spice & Wolf, and Secrets of the Silent Witch.
I even have a spreadsheet with my ratings and thoughts for each light novel, and I am working on expanding into other genres

it sounds really good but I feel like I heard something about a love triangle or something like that and I absolutely CANNOT do those😭😭 if there’s not a love triangle tho I will gladly pick it up lmaoo

I definitely recommend The Fault in Our Stars and The Hunger Games Series! Those are some of my very favorites! I also saw the FOTA trilogy, which you’ve read. 💗
