    Farmer on the Prairie is about my life on our central Illinois farm. My name is Seth and I am a young farmer with the desire to get things done and to keep the farm running smoothly. The farm is 740 row crop acres and 100 acres of pasture. We run about 100 grass-fed cattle and 1500 meat birds a year. Throughout my videos, you will get to know Dad, MommaD, and Sister. My brothers Josiah and Luke help us whenever there is a big project so they can feel important. We also have a part time employee Ben who is the comic relief. Because so many different things happen on our farm, there is never a dull moment. So tap that Subscribe button and come along for the ride!

    Aerial segment was awesome. Great drone work, music, and editing. Could watch for hours. Kept rewinding to make it last longer. I know this channel is a whole family effort and all of you should be very proud.

    Hello Seth, thanks for the video. Maintenance and repairs almost always consume more time than expected. Have a safe and trouble free harvest. Grtz from the Netherlands to you all and God bless.

    At least you got the repair made and then some harvesting. Haircut looks good. The farm is lucky to still have a guy who can multitask while your dad is off doing other things. Sounds like your nose is still plugged up.. Good video. Peace.

    Would be nice to see many times what you say you are doing. ie see what Junk yard combine place looks like to see how many old machines laying around or showing if you really replaced tube on grain Auger ? 👍

    This summer sure has gone by fast. Seems you were just planting a little while ago and now you are harvesting. The drone views are fantastic. How was your yield this year? Thanks for another great video. Hopefully tomorrow will be more successful for you.

    thanks for the great video! Is there any advantage to combining beans at a different angle than they were planted? is there a disadvantage to combining beans in the same rows they were planted? Thank you!

    What do y’all do with the stubble that comes out of the combine? On any grain crop

    • @farmerontheprairie
      @farmerontheprairie  4 роки тому

      Depending on the type of stubble/chaff we might bale it and use it for bedding.

    Look's like you drilled at a angle then combine straight. We are doing that to but drill at a 4 degree angle. Really feeds in good then.
