Just making sure people who keep praising The Lumineers for writing this song and taking their music in a new direction with their new song, realize they didn't actually write this song. It's Daniel's song and it's been around for a while. Yes, they got it RIGHT by working with him and adding the Christmas part to make it a Christmas song. Yes it's amazing. BUT to give credit to The Lumineers for writing this song is not correct and because it says "featuring" Daniel R. even though it's HIS song and actually features them, and the caption gives no credit to him for writing this song, I want people to give credit where credit is due.

Formerly the vocalist and song writer for Elephant Revival Daniel is now becoming quite the accomplished solo artist.
Checkout his work if you are not familiar with him.
I wish they made it more clear that this was Daniel's song before it was a Christmas song. I think it's a bit of a disservice to him to not clearly acknowledge that he wrote it. People commenting on them evolving and writing new stuff and taking their music in a new direction. I'm like YAY- glad they are taking it in a new direction by working with an amazing artist and SO glad Daniel is getting the credit he deserves, BUT let's not give them credit for writing this.
