Catching Kyogre: Not so hard.
Getting a Kyogre with a good nature and good IVs and managing to catch it: Damn near impossible.
Atleast I went for the right nature, ivs are impossible
I catched it with normal pokeball
Caught it with a normal Pokéball too. It's pretty easy if you have a Pokémon that is both a high level and resists Kyogre (looking specifically at Shedinja because none of Kyogre's moves have effect on it and it runs heal block to counter Aqua Ring every now and then)To take care of the nature, just get a synchronize Pokémon with the nature you want on Kyogre (Ralts works perfectly since you get easy access to it from the start) and then you'll have a 50% chance of catching Kyogre with the nature you want. That means the odds are that you should have to catch Kyogre 2 times before you have 1 with the nature you want, so you'll just have to go back to when you saved beforehand and catch it one more time if it doesn't work out. Then it will only take a few more catches before you have good IVs. So while the set up might take a bit of time to level up Shedinja, catch a good Ralts, and maybe run the battle a few times over, it's nowhere near impossible and at least getting one with a good nature comes out to being not that complicated surprisingly.

Kyogre was way harder to catch then any other in my opinion it healed himself then origin pulsed the crap out of my team, I had no trouble with deoxys caught that with a pokeball

I used about 100 ultra balls on deoxys and then killed it.
Right after killing deoxys I just remembered that I should've catch it

Did you know you can run from Primal Groudon or Kyogre's battle and they will still be there? And return to full health when you face them again. Really convenient game freak thank you!!

**Primal transformation Intensifies**
Man, pokemon battles are far less interesting to watch without the actions. Like, how does anyone find just watching you and your opponent's pokemon stare eachother down as they take damage to be better? I may as well be watching that scene from the anime where Ash pit his metapod against that samurai-looking dude's metapod in a challenge of who can get harder.
Which is why I keep the battle animations on, it makes it so much better. I feel that when they're off, the battle feels too quick.

I think it's just to make the video go by faster to save time.
But there are people who actually prefer this format during private play over the pokemon being shown actively fighting eachother, or at least as much action as the game engine will allow. That's what perplexes me.

Kyogre's cry is unnecessarily high in 6th gen. The original was much better. However, that primal reversion cry just sounds awesome. It's the sound of something I'd never want to be in the water with at the same time! :-p

Nearly every pokemon pre-gen 6 have these garbled cries when X and Y came out. It sounds as if they were recorded from a ds speaker with the 3ds microphone.

Except Desolate Land negates all water moves, so it's weakness to it is moot ;)

When I caught Kyogre, I had only one Pokemon left, which was my Diancie. I had only 3 Pokeballs left (1x capture rate) and Kyogre was paralyzed and in the yellow. Ended up catching it in a Pokeball.
How do you get Diancie? Where?

I had to restart. After I restarted, I caught it in one ultra ball. I caught Heatran in a pokeball, but not after wasting 26 ultra balls and 8 great balls.

I've found that to deal with Legendary Pokémon, False Swipe and Sleep inducing effects are best. (And Dusk Balls work wonders, seeing as the battles almost always happen in caves. Heavy Balls would be even better if you could get them in places other than Johto.)
With Kyogre, a good idea would be to bring someone with Sunny Day to stop the rain (he can't restart it if that happens).
Hello, I have a question. What is the difference between an Eon flute and an eon ticket? As far as I know, Steven gives you the eon flute and a Latios/Latias on the storyline. Which you can freely fly around and find mirage islands where the legendaries wait.
Is the eon ticket used just to get the other type of lati?

if you play omega ruby you get latios and for alpha sapphire yiu get latias

After 5 minutes we finally can battle kyogre
also, funny story: so I was at the part to get latias. I needed surf, but none of my pokemon could learn it. so I decided to go get a lotad from an early route. when I got to the deck on route 109 though, Mr. Briney wasn't there. HE LEFT ME BEHIND. So, I checked the areanav, and starting from mauville, there was a route, that led back to petalburg city.

The Primal Groudon encounter makes Kyogre look like a beached whale.
I still think that the Ruby version is more impressive here. Say what you want about underwater eddies and currents, but you ride Groudon through a sea of magma. That's something.
For me its what looks more satisfying to look at. Definitely Kyogre's.

Harder to catch than Groudon? Debatable. Kyogre can be super easy with the right Pokemon. Groudon is a joke if you take Flygon, Levitate negates two attacks and Flygon resists his fire attack, so it's hilarious. Kyogre's pretty shitty against a Lanturn though.
Also, I liked the Groudon cutscene more. Kyogre looks too pretty. Groudon's standing in a sea of lava. That's instant death all around you.

My team was entirely comprised of lv 50 something Pokemon when I faced Groudon, and I only had 15 Ultra Balls, nothing better... I killed it 7 times and caught it on the eighth. I don't get how your team is so underleveled :P
