Its finally time for the revamp to hit the sequel of one of Konami's all time classics, it's Super C! Pretty much Contra if not slightly better than the original if I do so say so myself, still the tight gameplay, wonderful graphics, and a solid OST! Much like its predecessor, this is a port of its arcade counterpart, Super Contra, given the shortened name "Super C" for, knowing the difference between the two? The soundtrack is absolutely stellar, Hidenori Maezawa does a fantastic job converting Motoaki Furukawa & Kazuki Muraoka's original arcade compositions to the NES, with Maezawa using his own sound driver and one of the few confirmed of sound drivers used at Konami, drum samples and orchestra hits are in full effect and the energy is much higher on this OST than the previous game, the track listing also taking from a digital OST released by Konami called "SUPER Contra Soundtrack (FC Version / Mobile Version - FM Sound Version - PCM Sound Version)", respectfully pinning tracks from the FC version of this album to the proper tracks of the NSF/OST. Also fun fact due to Super Contra being a much shorter game with only about 5 levels, Super C added levels and ended it in a proper Alien Lair (or Red Falcon Palace as called in the tracklist), as opposed to what would be Level 6 in the Arcade version. Either way, this is a great port and superb sequel worth its praise! :)

The second track's name is "Great Heli - Ruined Base" while the name "Creature from Outer Space" is the original name of the track "Babalu Defense Mechanism."
I believe that Super C didn't use the word Contra was because the word was starting to have some rather controversial connotations around this time, due to conflict between the US and the Middle East beginning to flare up in real life.

My cousin went with Spread, but I picked Fire. Only later I learned you can charge F for a bigger shot and bigger explosion. This OST brings a lot of great memories.

Love this OST. And I'll never forget when I finally got a perfect run of this game years ago... and was recording it! My first ever no-death Super C run, and I was just trying for a 1- or 2-death run.
