I enjoy watching your knitting videos. Your cabled projects are absolutely amazing. Don’t worry about feeling a wee bit awkward upon meeting your podcast viewers. This is a very new experience for you so enjoy every moment!
Thank you so much! I'm hoping next time I'm out and about and someone says Hi that I'll be a little less awkward haha! It's definitely a new and different experience, and it helps that everyone here is so lovely! The knitting community, and fibre community in general, is so kind and welcoming!
I love the new set up! All of your projects are chefs kiss 💋. And I cannot wait to see your new yarns knit up in those projects. You always pick out beautiful patterns!
Thank you so much! I'm so excited to cast on all the projects with my yarn from Knit City! (I've actually finished two hats already since filming haha!)
I love hearing how you create patterns! I have been thinking about doing a scrappy sweater similar to your patchwork cardigan actually and seeing what you did really got my creative gears going! Also, those sleeves on your Woodstone cardigan are GORGEOUS! I'm loving all the cables lately! Thanks for sharing! 🥰
A scrappy patchwork sweater would be so cute! The only downside is all the ends to weave in lol! I counted all the ends I have to weave in on my cardigan and I think it's just over 100 - I'll have to find a good movie to put on while I work on weaving them in lol! Cables are definitely having a moment in my knitting life right now - so many more projects on the needles with cables that I didn't get to show in this episode! Hoping to get some work on them over the next couple of weeks though!
That's so lovely to hear! I wear my Ripple Bralettes ALL the time - they're so comfortable to wear under shirts and sweaters. I've got one more on the needles waiting to have the last strap done haha! I'm so happy to hear I've inspired you to try some of the projects I've knit previously - I've actually got a Thicket Headband on the needles right now just waiting to cast off and sew the twist in!
I am currently knitting the woven cable headband by Priscilla Uloho. But I will definitely check out the Thicket Headband. They make a quick gift knitting.
I love your new filming location! I have looked at thrift stores around me for yarn but never find anything good. Your find was awesome! Lovely acquisitions - sounds like you had fun!
Thrift stores are definitely a hit or miss - this is the first time I've lucked out with yarn at one! I've only looked a handful of times over the summer, and I almost didn't go with my mom that weekend when I found the Handmaiden! You just never know if you might get lucky haha!
I also use reusable grocery bags for my knitting! I like that the yarn flows smoothly with no zipper to get caught up in. Your Una sweater looks so beautiful. I have the pattern but haven't knitted it yet. I want to try to make a version out of this silk yarn I have in stash from my mum.
They're perfect project bags aren't they! Not only are they multi-use, they're also fairly budget friendly - I bought mine last week for about $7 each which is a fraction of the price of a handmade bag. I love my handmade bags too, of course, but inexpensive options are always fantastic to have too! The Una Sweater in silk yarn would be so gorgeous! I was soooo tempted to pick up a silk blend of yarn yesterday to cast on another Una Sweater for my sister, but she's going to pick out the yarn herself haha! This sweater is definitely on my "to make again for myself" list as soon as I make one for my sister. I hope you'll enjoy knitting it just as much as I did!

I used 2 shades of green( I think one color is discontinued) anyway, it reminds me of a leaf!
