- Finally the original mix "Airtight" here on youtube. I wont argue with weather or not the remix is better because i know the remix is a masterpiece of its own but lets not forget where it first came from

Legend Records - LEG 16
This is proper intelligent - syncopated, melodic, ambient... One of the best. Proper neck twister and nodder.
what do you think of the remix?
@@JiMMy-xd8nu Also beautiful. Love them both
2 notes - amazing! 27 years - nothing is better.
Back in the 90s I made sure that every DJ set I played i made sure this made it in. No matter how dark or funky jump up it got. This always got a spin. Beautiful.
worst kind of dj, can't read the crowd and plays only what he likes.
WHAT A TUNE!!
Still blowing off me head in 2023 😮🔥🔥🔥
Completely and utterly in a class of its own. Magnificent.
The bassline/bell sound towards the end is particularly blissful and gorgeous on this version.
Are you talking about the sound effect what comes in at 5:12? I love that sound. They used that bass sound alot in D&B and House music in the 90s
@@missy4335 Yes, that's the one: it's so worth waiting for. Like the bassline towards the end of Blue Skies by Doc Scott: minimal and gorgeous.
Yeah what is that? Sounds like some sort of synthesised organ - if anyone knows please shout out
@@nj5374 I'm still trying to find out what it is as they used it in alot of 90s house and D&B tracks. And yes it does sound very much like a synth organ
@@nj5374 maybe a sampled pipe organ ?
I agree that there's no point debating which is better. Love em both anyway. The drumming is even more frantic in this. How they came up with the drum lines is beyond me.... but they work brilliantly
Funky Technicians = Total Science. Amaising track
Was released in the same year I was born, incredible
In a world of its own, absolute class 👌
such a huge tune, I was told the history behind this my an old dj I know. Apparently it's still worth alot of money now for the record.
Oh, really....
Nah, I wouldn't sell any of my records, and not just because they are in my mate's shed in a different country.
So what’s the story then??

Don't leave us hanging, friend :D
spi11 da beenz bruh
I'd say this and the remix to be pretty important tracks of intelligent dnb.
First heard this in Logical Progression. Sounds tight on its own
wow...i was really drunk yesterday. love this song
Lol....I've done that a few times on YT....hey, your just appreciating a class track!
Love this!
Proper nourishes the soul ✨
Fucking love this track, got this on vinyl
This came out in 95.
Having listened to both there ain’t a lot in it, both classic tracks. If you have to choose it’s the original just like champion sound
For me that champion sound remix can't be beat. Either way, beautiful music
The drums make this one better. Quiff is a yellow haired god.
The drums are sooooo gooooood
Perfection
Bring it back
ich liebe jeden hier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Liebe geht zurück!!
Dope
I'm still going with the Pendulum original- way superior!
pendulum??
one word - clueless
what ??
I think he's joking, no?
You know, every song is based on another, that had it's prime a few years or decades before. I would really like to know the story behind this song. Can't imagine this is made from scratch. Like I listened to Adam F - Circles for like 10 years until I realised: Bob James - Westchester Lady!! :-) Anyone has information about this beautifil track??
It's a Roland synth and some breakbeats
@@tackyman JV-1080 more specifically?
Adam F Circles has one short snippet of Westchester Lady. Unlike most of the rest of the scene, Adam F was an accomplished musician that didn't need to use samples. Listen to the actual music that Circles consists of outside of that sample: Adam F had vision and musical know-how. John B was probably the only other person on the scene at that point with that degree of musical understanding, but he simply wasn't in that league. Neither was Adam F for very long in all honesty. However, most of the Artcore tunes weren't based on loops from other tunes. If you believe that then you simply aren't listening. They were largely made from pads and sine wave basslines, just like this one. There is simply no need to copy another song when your tune consists of two chords on a pad, a bassline and breakbeats. Generally, the producers on this scene followed each other and the formula was very much defined. Beautiful simplicity. There were plenty of tunes in this style that featured samples from the likes of Lonnie Liston Smith but, for the most part, the ingredients of these tunes were homecooked. The notable exception is the kingpin, Bukem himself, whose tunes generally are loops from other tunes.
bessr gehts nicht!!!!
