This is one of those rare times (IMHO) when a remix is better than the original (which is awesome in its own right). Granted, it was remixed by the same producers, but still... simply amazing, all-time favorite :)
Must say the original just about takes it for me, has a ‘less is more’ feel and the drums are just next level. Remix is a bit too busy in comparison. Both brilliant tracks though.

Would you consider D-fect Jah people a shitty track? It still follows the drumfunk subgenre but, I'm curious to know your thoughts on the track, it was made in 2015 I think

When i hear this track "airtight" i hear a clear coherence , and a deepness in the harmony, when i hear jah people i hear a forced drum base without a coherence. It does not mean it is bad, it goes more to the contemporary way of making melodies, where there is a lack of expression, from my perspective.
This song is by far the best mix of airtight. Didn't know as they said on you tube this was the original cut. The original cut is done by funky technicians. LTJ Bukem has had this on logical progression & mixmag. Mixmag was LTJ bukem first mix which was a very good album. Since them bukem has produced & mixed over 20 albums. Big respect to the good looking family. Also respect to MC Conrad & GQ who are very Good MC 's
