I haven’t heard of Fields of Mistiria but the art style really caught my interest! (…and maybe that blacksmith guy had a little to do with it 😳🔥) Thank you so much for introducing me to it for the first time, I might have to go add it to my wish list!
@@lilonebates840 On the website, it says there’s no release date yet. It’s still in early stages of development, but you can follow their social media to stay updated. I think their Twitter is just the name of the game.
Fields of Mistria looks amazing! The 80s 90s anime art style is such a genius move on their part, really adds a level of uniqueness to the game. Also seeing all the varieties of cows and their animations makes me feel like they're really putting their all into their gameplay. Very promising. Pixelshire, Delphinium and Research Story also all look great. Thank you for giving us information on these games! I subscribed because you seem to be able to find farming sims that I cannot, and with the recent surge of indie farming sims upcoming, I have a good feeling for the future.
Thanks for the Ragnarok Online shout-out. Was such an awesome game, sadly I never really got in to Tree of Saviour. Some of the sounds in Kitaria Fables were taken straight out of iRO i feel like, and that gave me a lotta nostalgia for iRO while playing Kitaria.
I'm looking forward to Research Story adding element of observing the surrounding is a natural thing to blend with farming type games and give it a more fresh gameplay. I'm also excited for Fields of Mistiria the character design reminds me of sailor moon style XD I think it will look cute once complete
Out of 5 games I've heared about only one of them, great video ! I would to your list few other titles: - Coral Island - farm sim on tropical island (I'm not sure if you haven't heard about it or have you decided not to include since it's the most well known title), - Sunnyside - modern take on the genre, - Roots of Pacha - located in prehistoric era with emphasis on developing your village I encourage you to check them out !
I used to play so much RO ~18 years ago... And I am still in contact with lots of my former guildmates today. Really a great part of my childhood. As for the games you showed, I'm really looking forward to playing Fields of Mistria!
I've been following Fields of Mistria for a while and I'm so excited to someone talking about it and spreading the word. Not only did they nail the 80s-early 90s anime style for the character sprites, but a lot of the overworld background sprites are remind me of SNES era games. As a kid, I played both played a lot of the original Harvest Moon/Bokujō Monogatari and fan translations of a few anime tie-in games on for the system such as Sailor Moon: Another Story and a Magic Knight Rayearth rpg.......the nostalgia hits me extra hard. Plus I'm bi, so any game with romance elements where I can romance any of the options regaurdless of what gender I select for my character get extra points in my book.
I'm so looking forward to Fields of Mistria! I've been following it for awhile. The character sprites remind me heavily of Sailor Moon and the overworld sprites are so pleasant.
I found Fields of Mistria on twitter on my old account, and when I deleted that account and forgot the game's name I was heart broken. After days of researching, I saw your thumbnail and saw the familiar character and of course it's the game!!! So excited for it to come out, and now that I know it's name I can better keep track of it's development.
Fields Of Mistria looks basically like The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past for the Super Nintendo, but as a farming game, which makes me very excited. Also, Hayden is my bachelor already LOL
I always look forward to your videos showing us upcoming games because it's how I learn about new games to put on my watch list. There are never enough farming games. 😁🎉
Fields of mistria is going to be my new fave. Chicken riding! Also reminds me of old school Zelda on the handhelds with the backgrounds and I like the old anime art. Looks cute.
i’m so glad you upload these videos because i am an absolute sucker for farming games but i just dont have the attention to look through game pages for these games. so these are so helpful!!! thank you for your work!!
Fields of mistiria looked sooo good 🤩 would LOVE to play this on the go with the switch … hopefully it does really well on pc and will get ported over ❤️❤️ and as always: thanks for sharing these games josh ❤️
OMG that 3D background and 2D sprite combo really is like Ragna! Just from the graphics, I'm already interested. Fields of Mistra character sprites look so cute.
Really wish people would acknowledge that Fields of Mistria just looks like a pixelated Rune Factory. Rune Factory was the first farm sim to add magic and its leagues ahead of Stardew Valley and no one talks about it.
Yeah it’s annoying, Harvest Moon (Now Story of Seasons) and Rune Factory, both made by the same developers, is the BLUEPRINT. The developer of Stardew said it was their inspiration, ofc it stands so well on its own but people need to stop calling Stardew the blueprint bc it’s simply not.
All of them look really interesting, especially Delphinium(not just because I like the flower lol). Fields of Mistiria character portraits have a similar style to Ranma 1/2 so I'm super excited for it! Great video once again!!
I’m super excited for Fields of Mistria I love the art style and I hope the sound track and gameplay are good as well. Side note: the original Ragnarok online is my favorite MMORPG of all time and I miss it so much. I always played at a ranger or blacksmith.
I'm always a bit cautious with these games in early development because I'm scared they'll be abandoned but I'm so hyped up for Fields of Mistria too! I hope they can deliver.
@@JoshGamingGarden I hadn't thought about that, honestly. Their dev blog goes back a few years though, and their twitter is still active, so I don't think it'll get abandoned.
Sunnyside has the same animal models as Garden paws. I have seen previews the game does look interesting. I might play on PC there's too many games broken when ported to Switch. I started playing My time in Portia can't progress further in Abandoned ruins 3 without system error. The game crashes if you sleep when events suppose to happen but pushed back to previous day due to rain.
they're like a drug🤪 for real though there used to be nothing beside Harvest Moon for decades, it's exciting to see how popular the genre has become now!
@@JoshGamingGarden ikr? Now we have so many other options, some mix in RPG elements some add life-sim while others add everything into the mix! I hope we keep getting more options, especially more ported to the NS
Delphinium and Fields of Mistiria look really cool! Don't know if I'll jump on them right away - I've got the Friends of Mineral Town remake and Kitaria Fables sitting in my backlog still. But they look interesting!
While I'll be playing on PC these two are also the ones I'm most looking forward too also. I feel like these may be at least a few years out though I hope I'm wrong as I'm now cursed to know of what I can't have. D;
Looking forward to having Fields of Mistria. The pixel art is very detailed and beautiful. Casting rain to water crops? sold! Sad it's still in early development. Guess it'll take longer 'til we can play it.
I'm most interested in Research Story, Fields of Mistria, and Ranch of Rivershine. As someone who loves science and researching stuff Research Story is right up my ally and I can't turn down good anime characters lol. It’s not a farming game but Moonglow Bay just came out and it gives the same vibes. I’m 5 hours in and having a blast. I’d recommend it (it’s also in Canada and talks about quebec a lot).
The leg movement of the horses is a bit strange but other than that I loved that type of game as a child. I'll take a look at the reviews for sure when it comes out.
I haven't heard of those! Another good one I thought you might mention but didn't, and is also still in the development phase, is Harvest Days. It's open world and 3D and I recently accessed a playable beta on Steam. Unfortunately, the bugs I experienced made the beta almost unplayable, but I'm REALLY excited to play it again! Thx for the info! P.S. I'm super happy you mentioned Littlewood, I really enjoyed that one!
I did play Harvest Days a while ago but as you said it was filled with bugs and I couldn't manage to do anything. I don't think the game was ready for a beta and I'll wait a bit more as I'm a bit skeptical about that game.
I feel like the devs of Fields of Mistria knew what they were doing with that late 80s-early 90s anime artwork. Delphinium looks gorgeous but the dev said it might only take 2-4 hours to complete. It's still a huge and impressive undertaking for a single indie dev though.
Ah, yeah I figured it would be pretty short since the game description says it's a seven days thing... It's fine, there are plenty of lengthy farming games to play, so I'm looking forward to this short one!
