- this is a siemens s7-1200 plc programming tutorial in which I show How to use analog input/output signals/modules and how to use analog input/output signals to control substance levels in a tank.
in this siemens s7 analog input output tutorial, which is an analog input output programming example i investigate the analog output module. so this lesson is also a tutorial analog signal programming or analog input output signals or analog input output sample related to handling 0 to 10 analog signals
or programming analog devices or processing and scaling analog signals. The whole idea of the lesson is to write a function by which to measure the level of a substance by using plc analog input and signals using analog input4-20ma of an analog device. i generated the test program as a tia portal simple program using tia portal plc sim to measure output analog signal using a digital voltmeter. The lesson is good on these topics: how to use scale function, how to use scale instruction, how to write a function in plc and how to use out range instruction in plc.

Hi there. For example, ET200 modules are common to collect data and send them to the central controller. however, If you want to connect your PLC to 68 nodes via the ethernet connection, you may need to use other advanced manuals or courses

I have valve working from analog output 4to 20 ma I want check signal from analog module if it’s working alone and I want check valve if it’s working alone because that’s process not working I want specify problem from valve or from analog module.
Hi there, you can use a multimeter to measure the current signal. First check your analog output module with a simple program that whether it produces 4-20mA at the output of your analog output module or not. Then check this signal reaches the valve. Finally, check your valve. You may need to replace it with another one.

I test analog output same you but no signal at output modules . i can check analog output by other means ? ( s7 1200 with sm 1234 234 4he32 0xb0)
Please check these items:
1: Note that your module needs a 24 volt DC power supply. please check that and also your wiring base on its datasheet.
2: Note that your module supports both current (0-20ma) and voltage (-/+10v) signals at its output pins. So, check which type is selected in TIA portal.
3: Just write a simple program to send a constant number (for example, 20736 to create 7.5v, or 15mA) on your output pins. You can use a simple multimeter to measure the output signals.
4: Check your analog output address. Maybe you are using an incorrect address!!
5: Your module has 2 analog outputs. Check both of them. Maybe one of them is broken, and you have to use another one.
