When I was new to the RC hobby, I cut myself pretty bad with a prop. Now every time I watch one of your videos where you mention taking off the prop for safety reasons, I hit like straight away. Good work by some very good people.

I know this video is older, but it did help me learn how to wire my LEDs up on my planes/quadcopter. Thanks guys!

usually somewhere between 3-5V, but the LED strips tend to have built-in resistor, so they can take 12V in

Go to the dollar store and get some barbecue skewers my friend.
If your local dollar store doesn’t have them-try your grocery store.
Glue them with gorilla glue in vulnerable areas but don’t make things too heavy-also remember that gorilla glue expands to three sizes it’s original size so start very very small.
      Good luck-have fun😁

So my plane has an extra wire coming from the electronics to power fpv. I was wondering, can I use this to power LEDs? Thanks!

Can i give one tip insert lighting inside the aircraft. Then they will see that the plane lit up inside, not just outside.Akromaster is perfect , it split in two sou it is easy to mount inside the plane

Hey guys, fantastic vids, keep it up!!!
Can you please tell me what the best wire/cable from hobbyking to use, to install the turnigy LED strips??? I would be cutting them up and placeing them in different parts of the plane like you have, I just want to know the best and lightest cable to use, to chain them together, and to run them from the battery. I will be putting them on A leadfeather epp yak55, so I need the wire as light as possible.
    Cheers, From New Zealand

    Thay say its phone-wire.
You can use the wires form network cables (TP-cables) if you have some spare

Very nice video! I'd like to add lights to the Radian Pro where I could plug the battery into the lights then inot the receiver. I have NO skills building so I stick with the RTF and BNF versions, any suggestions, thanks

@msteer79 take yourself to jaycar and buy a roll of 0.315mm enamel coated copper wire, it works great for hooking up LED's and making extensions for sub 5gram servos, just make sure you have a hot soldering iron to melt off the enamel coating before you solder. You could also rip open an ethernet cable and use that wire of do what these guys are doing and use telephone wire.
cheers, Zac (aka NZsloper from parkflyers)
