My feedback from the drive so far... Ride Quality: This is the USP of Bolero Neo and mostly people are buying because of this. I simply loved the ride quality and have driven on all patchy, rough roads too...I had great experience and hoping it continues Body Roll: Yes, not for driver but for 2nd n 3rd row in rough and shaky road when you're on 40+ kmph speed Build Quality: Mahindra and Tata are known for build quality in Indian car market, Mahindra has given the patent name from their most selling n rugged car - "Bolero" and Neo has certainly passed all the tests to get the name tagged as Bolero Neo Ground Clearance: Although Mahindra claims grond clearance for Neo is 180mm, I don't think it's correct. It must be more than that, I personally used other cars and noticed Neo has superb ground clearance and passes through any patchy roads seamlessly Suspension: Most of the products from Mahindra has steady suspension in almost all the cars. Neo is built on Ladder on frame chasis; Mahindra has used the same platform of Mahindra Thar and Old Scorpio. I have driven and enjoyed the ride due to excellent suspension in Neo; Rear Wheel Drive is like icing on the cake. Road Presence: Simply awesome, this is the beauty of this car. You're seated almost equivalent to Fortune - Commanding position! Comfort: Driving comfort is too good, didn't feel tired despite travelled in city for 80+ kms (to and fro) during peak hours. Co-driver seating is like king size (enjoyed the ride without any hassle) Cabin Space: Airy, feels very spacious overall but not well organised for wallet/mobile/other belongings space. Infotainment system: Basic music system instrument, those who are music lovers wouldn't like so much as compared to other competitive cars. Fuel Efficiency: Bolero Neo is not the fuel efficient or economic car, it falls under a different segment where riders loves to cruise on any terrain. However, it generates avg. 14-15 kmpl in city condition which is great in my opinion (considering its Diesel variant) Seating capacity: Although Neo is being sold as 7 seater but this is not the actual 7 seater. Third row seats are jump seats where kids can sit for short trips around 50kms max. Not recommended for adults, but good to have as add-on capacity for exigency trips Comparison: When Neo is compared with other sub 4meter compact SUVs, it outshine from others and scores full marks on most of the areas barring on looks (subjective for being very boxie). Now a days, car makers are launching more curvy n edgy which gives elegant look Safety: Since Neo is aligned to Bolero, it signifies as one of the safest car in Indian market. However, it still misses out 6 air bags and in my opinion it can still be rated as 4 star Pricing: Bolero Neo is placed at affordable price in the market, buyers do get other SUVs at similar price but Neo has gained their own market for those who are interested to buy macho, rugged and real SUV. Missing features: Sun roof, reverse parking camera, ventilated seats, shark fin antenna, diamond cut alloy wheels, projector headlights, I conclude Bolero Neo is certainly value for money product. I'm happy to be part of Bolero Neo family!
I always say to my friends and family that I intentionally brought nexon without sunroof as after few years it will burn our pockets for maintaining sunroof but they didn't get it, but this video is an example of real time experience of what happens if we buy a car which as sunroof! Kudos for his wise thought with real time experience! About sunroof!!
Isn't that a common fact a car with sunroof is more expensive and that will translate to higher maintaining cost as well As you climb the segments of cost of the vehicle you automatically or unintentionally prepare a higher bill after services Like those extremely expensive SUVs with air suspension comes at a cost that just doesn't include the initial purchasing cost but a lot more
Well same can be said for a lot of other sensors on the car. Back in the day someone hitting ur side mirror wasn't a big deal. Now that they are electronic and house cameras they are too expensive to be hit. And with sun roofs I don't think there should be major expenses other than changing the seal and for panoramic ones changing the layer of fabric. Which is understandable. It's like wanting big rims but not wanting to pay for low profile tires which get wiped out quicker and suck at absorbing bumps. Cars are moving ahead we have to adjust some of our expectations too.
Problem these days is that if you buy a top model, you will get a sunroof whether you want it or not. I am 6 ft tall and I prefer to drive sedans, and the sunroof eats up 2 inches of my headroom. Totally useless feature for North Indian conditions.

I wish this was also available in the petrol version. Diesel makes less and less sense with every passing year. Wonderful car. With newly launched special edition almost fits all my requirements.
@@saitama2508 You're right. But what I meant is due to stricter norms new things will keep getting added which may make vehicle maintenance rather difficult than earlier times. The DPF issue for example. Also for me personally my usage is not high enough to justify a diesel engine. Hence, the preference for petrol.
Also, almost all Mahindra SUVs are available in petrol. So why leave out Neo? I see on twitter also many people wanting to own a petrol variant. So Mahindra should give it a try.

Bolero neo best suv...value for money
It lacks Ground Clearance and has a tiny tyre size.Ground Clearance is the signature status of an SUV but this car has equal Ground clearance to Tata Nano, infact Tata Nano has more Ground clearance.Bolero neo is said to be 7 Seater but its passengers will be extremely uncomfortable,it has very high Body rolls. There are soo many accidents where Neo fliped and rolled over,in recent accident The owner lost his one eye and broke his neck .There is a car Named Kia Carens, you can get the 1.4 turbo Petrol version it produces way more power and has Luxurious seating for all the 7 Seater with Roof AC vents and comfortable Seating moreover it has 195 mm Ground clearance as compared to 176 -180 mm of Bolero Neo.
First you drive the bolero in bad roads and then comment about ground clearance
This is fake 😂,the neo is more comfortable and value for money car,it's better than other country car Kia carens😂
Kia Carens is tin can with unstable body structure. The Bolero Neo with MLD can go to places where Carens with 195 mm of GC can only dream of!
I would disagree
Try driving kia careans and then bolero in bad roads . You will know the difference
Sunroof is meant to let sunrays especially in colder places not air. If it was meant for air, it would have been called air roof bhai
Buyer is clear wth his requirement
I have tuv300 and I just wish it comes with xuv300 tgdi petrol engine with 130 bhp in future .......it will be great suv then
I wish this was also available in the petrol version. Diesel makes less and less sense with every passing year. Wonderful car. With newly launched special edition almost fits all my requirements.
Diesel will stay till the day trucks are using it cause they are never shifting to petrol so don't worry on that aspect
Facing any roll over for second row passengers while travelling for a long kms?
I sold my house and shifted to a rented apartment after watching this video
Why does the title say octavia vRS when the guy used to use first Gen octavia combi model?? Isn't it misleading?
IS THERE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FOR THIS CAR OR JUST MT?
Should have purchased N10 optional which comes with MLD
