That “souvenir of Lourdes” was part of a lamp. When I was a kid and have a sleep over at my friends house it was her bedside light and her mom would wind the music box when we went to bed😊 I know it’s vintage because I am now 56 and I was maybe 10 years old when I stayed at her house. Not sure of the value now but it sure brought back a sweet memory.
I know I’ve heard you say you watch Laura Caldwell and she learned this technique I think in Japan where you add gold color or paint or maybe it’s real gold I’m not sure to chipped pieces of pottery or plates and then she can still resell them. I think she mentions it on her latest video when she picks up this turquoise colored plate in Texas if you’re interested.
wow, thank you so much for letting me know that it was a lamp! Unfortunately, I didn’t see high value otherwise I would’ve totally picked it up especially since it was working! I’m trying to be good about not picking up pieces for myself lol lol yes I did watch Laura‘s last video. She’s so talented and I love that. She loves to learn about new things. I watched that episode and thought, she’s just amazing! Thank you for your comment sweet friend💖
@@lesliespradley8897it is called Kintsugi, they sell kits online, I used it on a few ceramics pieces that were broken and it is very beautiful and not too hard to do
thank you, Kelly💖 we love passing through Alabama and hitting up all of the mom and Pop places. Such a fun, sweet and relaxing state.💋 thank you so much for watching the video
I am so glad to see you picking up pieces that may not be worth a ton but are definitely worth rescuing before they get damaged. These pieces have survived a treacherous journey to make it to a thrift store shelf unbroken, and somebody would love to give them a forever home. Even if you only make a couple dollars profit, it is the right thing to do. It just amazes me that some thing so fragile can survive even a few years let alone 50 or 60 years to then end up broken and in a land fill. 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😁 PS I live at the beach in California and pick up any beachy or coastal pieces that are fragile and undamaged and if I can’t sell them for a profit, I make them over by adding them to Driftwood or putting them on top of candlesticks and if I still can’t sell them, I have offered them to the local restaurants and hotels to use in their displays and for their decor.. If I still can’t find them a home, I will put them on craigslist and Facebook marketplace for free. I have never been left with apiece. They have all found their forever homes and people are really happy to get them.
this is so sweet, I love how sustainable you are. I have a ton of shells from Sanibel and we are thinking of doing stuff with it like making mirrors and making it look vintage. I’m not very crafty but I can learn to be. Thank you, sweet friend, and thank you for watching the video.
I don't even know how you drive all the way down to Miami to do thrifting. That traffic is BRUTAL. And then you calmly do your thrifting through that very chaotic store. You must have nerves of steel and soooo much patience! At least the payoff is some really nice treasures 😊
thank you so much for watching this video💖💖 I used to find silver crest and I would leave it on the shelf when they priced it low, now they’re pricing it high and I want to pick them all up lol lol lol
lmaooo I am pretty sure the lady on the left that snatched it she had passed by me with a bunch of wigs in her cart. I think what had happened was the doors are right there where the employees come out with more items. And they were waiting for wigs maybe… Lol so yeah I think the lady on the left just got all of the wigs🤣🤣🤣
🤦🏻♀️ aww I wish I could have been live doing this video. On Niknax, we do live thrifting every Sunday at 12:15 pm est at different thrift stores. I will be there tomorrow by the way, at this location in the video because it is close to the school I work at and I go after work. If these two items are still there I will pick them up for you if you would like
Saw your video and smiled. Sat back and relaxed. Got something to share with you very soon. Probably in an email. You will have to keep my secret. 🙋🏻♀️❤️😊🌹
