How do you manage not to get overwhelmed with all of the projects? I've been watching you since you had the 2 third gens. I have a hard enough time driving my one truck let alone the collection you have?
I just read in hot rod mag to sand the head side of the head stud washers with 60grit to scuff them up to prevent spinning while torquing. Just lube the nut side only.
Great video as always. If you have not installed the fuel return fitting at the back of the head, I need your help. At the youthful as of 71 I have to replace this assembly on my 2000 c/c ram 3500. Because of my age I sometimes deal with a condition known as arthritis, in my case I use the term "rigrmortis". The shops have given me outrageous price quotes. I remember you mentioning this installation in recent video. If you still have to do thos to the new head could you elaborate more on this install. Thanks J
Damn dude. I think the assembly lube is made for the threads not the outside of the nuts, lol. Definitely right about over using. I've always had plenty with the ARP's.
haha good to see ol greg A stressing out, i guess that means u are human just like the rest of us, take er easy greg you have alot more to be happy about then stressed about :)
Well Greg one thing we all know, if those head studs suck you’ll be the one to find out. Companies trying new products should just send them to you to test you’ll put it threw the ringer haha.
I'm guessing you're trying to get the trucks all up and running for 2 reasons. 1You're moving to a larger shop and 2 you have some goodies coming for the Peterbuilt
You keep saying that ... it needs lots of work. LOL Quit chatting at it and work on it. Git’er done. Want the Pete project moving ... anxious to see that Cat roaring.
@@bravestender I had FPE spec me an engine last year. No fuel or air. Just a complete rotating assembly & head. 33K iirc. D&J was like 18 for the same thing. Guy was trying to add everything possible. Irked me pretty good. Literally told him to a T what I wanted. A very mild build that would go on the track a few times a month with maybe 1-4 street drives a month blah blah blah. Week later he's like "how's that?" "Hard pass. Bye." They're too proud of their shit. I'm aware they make good stuff but D&J is just as good if not better of an option.
New house? New shop? TELL US GREG😂😂

First gen would destroy the Galaxy.
My day just got 1000 times better!
New house with a big ass shop in it. With a full size garage for the peterbilt.
Try doing a Cummins 4bt swap in an old 1500 2nd gen
When everything has to run you know you're moving
I like your 2gen 5.9 Cummins and scrap truck from previous vids
Head stud lube looks a lot like a permatex/loctite copper based anti seize
I hope Greg A doesnt fade away from UA-cam.

Sounds like a new shop to me.
