Thats awesome Alan.
I think I need you to come out on my boat one day and bring me luck😁
Thanks !! I wish we had luck like this on every trip.
Crazy session. There are some super sized salmon around at the moment. Great to see you got onto some ripper reds. I'll be heading out landbased early Friday, so hopefully will have some luck!
Thanks Andrew, Good luck with the land based fishing on Friday. I went to web Dock this morning and it was very quiet. Where are you heading ?
@@fishingmad Thanks mate, gonna catch the high tide at Portarlington. See if I can get some Calamari while trying for a snapper. After that, I'll probably head to Geelong waterfront and throw some plastics around on the way home.
Awesome stuff boys 👌🏼
Thanks !!
Awesomeness 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Good video mate just about the snook I reckon they are not bad on the plate
Thanks Jeff, Yeah I have a few mates who love eating them too.
As long as they are super fresh they go great in some beer batter I reckon. Definitely don't improve with age though!

Great reds mate, well done 👍 how good is the Vibe Freak mate ! Had mine for a couple of years and is my go to for snapper on plastics 👌
Yeah loving the Vibe Freak. I got some high end rods this year including the TD Commander, Loomis NRX+, T-Curve Prem and I think the Vibe Freak might be the go to.
@@fishingmad I am tempted to get a second one
Hey Alan, just need a tip mate, just got to Mt Martha, and needing to know where you fishesd for squid on the rocks, thanks mate
Near the end of Hearn street, need to be careful as access is tricky
@@fishingmad thanks Alan, appreciated
Awesome session, Alan. What reel of yours was Mick liking there?
Shimano Stella FK 2500 its a magnificent reel but $$$
@@fishingmadis this the reel you used on vibe freak rod?
wow !!!
Hey Alan, not getting anything on plastics, and haven’t gotten anything on bait for a while around williamstown, any suggestions? Seen all the tips videos.

Hey mate, I wanna go out to the city to target bream but unfortunately I don’t have an ultralight rod to flick around plastics, I need to get one but he problem is I’m very short of money. So in your opinion, what’s the cheapest ultralight rod that I can buy that will still provide me with a bit of quality. I don’t go fishing for bream very often so I wouldn’t be using it everyday, that’s half the reason I don’t want to be spending so much money on a rod. I have plenty of light / ultralight reels just no rod.
Honestly cant go past a Daiwa Aird for around $100 have a look at this link which should help fishingmad.com.au/review/best-spinning-rods-2022
Hi. Thank you for sharing. For this session, can I ask if you caught these snapper on a change of tide and do you remember what moon phase it was?
Brand of those fingerless gloves?
When you marked those snapper, how confident were you that those marked fish were still going to be at that same location when you turned around and drive back to where they were marked?
How fast were you going to capture those images on the sounder?
Cameron
Thoughts?
What rod where you using at the start of the video
Millerods VibeFreak Hope that helps
Great content as always man. I went fishing yesterday, caught 12 flathead 9 were legal, and a salmon. Oh... and my rod went flying into the water when.i wasn't looking, so devastating, don't think I'll ever get over it
Wow Ben, that's a great session 12 flathead. That's a real shame to hear about the rod going into the water. Ive done it to and its a horrible feeling. What rod was it ?
@@fishingmad nothing special thankfully. A daiwa combo I brought a while back. But I did love the rod, felt really nice casting out with it
Its never fun losing a rod, but a good excuse to buy a new one or an upgrade LOL
@@fishingmad most definitely. Already been looking at new rods for when I have cash spare. Thinking of a 8 to 10ft rod this time for that little bit extra casting distance.
@@bentaylor9795what rod did you select and reel?
where abouts where u's i am gonna go out for a few hours tommorrow an i donno where to go
Port Phillip Bay Not far past P2

Amateur here - it looks like there’s a sinker on the salmon soft plastic? Do you let it sink to the bottom?
Was using a 1/8 ounce jig head in size 2-0 with salmon you can let it sink or work it back straight away
@@fishingmad thanks legend!
