I just followed your recipe and my kremas came out perfect! It's my very first time making this, so thank you for your help in making it a success! YAY!!!
My mom and aunties used to make it from scratch with real coconut, klerin (it's a really strong alcohol), Rhum, lime and lemon zest and even some ginger. They also use carnation milk and sugar. Yours looks really watery and light in colour.
No need for sugar when you use Coco Lopez. Plus in his recipe the Amaretto is also sweet n adds notes of citrus n nuts. N like everyone says, you get the consistency overtime. Duh 😂😂😂😂 n every Haitian household tweeks a lil. Never judge one household.
I just finished making my Kremas and boy!, Your recipe is awesome tastic. It came out excellent superb. I can’t wait for everyone to try this. This is so delicious. And at the same time it got me filling nice with that extra spike of rum.
Hi, I’m Puerto Rican and Jamaican 🇵🇷🇯🇲 I’ve never had Kremes before but it seems practically the same as coquito. Only instead of using dark rum, we use white rum and we don’t use lime, but for the most part Haitian Kremes seems practically the same as Puerto Rican coquito.
1 cup of rum! That’s like drinking drinking sugar milk with 10% alcohol. Also lime breaks down the fat which does not thicken it. Place the Cremas in the fridge for four hours to thicken up the milk fat.
Thanks for the suggestion, you're more than welcomed to edit the recipe to your taste. I always thicken with lime. I'll try it your way the next time and determine which i like better going forward. How much rum would you add?
I’m Dominican & I’m obsessed with Kremas it’s delicious!

Big shot out to you broh, real haitian since domimican republic.
I add a couple of whole star anise and a small cinnamon stick to the bottle.

Yes ginger that's what it's mixing. It's clear and not thick
It gets thicker when u store it in the fridge n leave it there until u like the consistency
If you want it thicker use more coconut cream and less coconut milk
Carnation milk is evaporated milk; he used that. The cream of coconut is already sweetened so no need for sugar.
