Hi, just found you channel recently via Laura's. The burnt design on the wooden stool is called pyrography. It was a hobby during the period of 1870-1930s. The stool looks like it could be old. You see it on decorative boxes most often. I enjoy collecting examples of it and that stool is awesome! It would make a great plant stand....
Just to help explain why you were confused....the back of your little mirror says BURWOOD (not burlwood) which was a home interiors maker like Syroco or Homco...BURLWOOD is a term used for a growth characteristic that you can find in different species of trees 🌲 You had a fantastic haul on this adventure with Laura...loved the Florentine tray!
Hi, Andi! Happy Friday 🌸 Love your finds, some nice pieces. Really love the florentine easel, always on the hunt for anything to display artwork on a shelf. Suggestion on your oval flower oil painting and frame--perhaps remove the glass, and then have a solid black piece of paper to “back” your oil painting--you could also try something like pop dots that they use in frame shops and secure the oval painting to the black paper but to “float” the oil painting. I think it may look better not being under glass. Hope to see this project after whatever you do comes together. Happy thrifting! ☮️
Such great suggestions, thank you!! I’m determined to figure it out so I will definitely look into the pop dots and black paper. Thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️❤️
Aww thank you! This is my first dedicated studio space so I am decorating it with all my fav things which has been so fun! No one to consider but me. ;)
I appreciate it,when the stores wrap our items especially delicate fragile items. Goodwill doesn't wrap any more or have bags.we have to purchase the bags or bring our own, not shopping GW as often
It would have been nice if you had actually showed us the painting of The Virgin Mary instead of moving it around. You move your hands. Unfortunately, you also move the items instead of letting us see the items. You talk fast but move the items as fast as you talk so we can't really appreciate what you purchased.
PLEASE STOP MOVING THE ITEMS SO MUCH, WE CANT REALLY SEE THE ITEM. YOU CAN HOLD THE ITEM STEADY, WHILE YOU TALK. YOU WOULD DO BETTER JUST SHOW US EVERYTHING AND NOT TALK SO MUCH IF YOU ARE GOING TO WAVE EACH ITEM ALL AROUND.
Fun haul!!! The miniature was probably from Naples. They have a gigantic Christmas Market full of miniatures for Old World Christmas displays that are popular in Italy.
I actually got it in Paris. That video is coming out soon. It was my one big splurge on my European sourcing trip. It stopped me dead in my tracks when I saw it.
12:05 that looks like a piece of a nativity scene. In some countries you make a big nativity scene with merchants, a little village, examples of professions, etc.
I love this video! I’m so glad I found you! You’re green dress is adorable and I totally get it, I am a thrift and antique nut! 😂It’s nice to meet like-minded people. I have YT channel too ❤Adam (hubby) and I did fly out for that Portland expo, it was AMAZING! I bought a bunch of stuff from Laura 😂 I am subscribed! 🎉
Thank you for watching!! I just subscribed to your channel and can't wait to check it out. :) Glad you had such a great trip to the expo! I couldn't believe how many people flew in for it!
Hi! I was just in Aurora today! Saw an item about it on Laura’s channel. And now I find your channel! I’m so excited to binge watch your videos😊 best wishes from Lisette ( from the Netherlands but currently in Oregon travelling)❤

@8:22 best find.
I agree I found a smaller white one recently very well made
White on the outside and gold on the inside? I hope you purchased it.@@deboramccallum3987
Thank you!! Ive gotten so much use out of it already. It's one of those pieces I know I will have forever.
I would love a white version! What a score!
Where are you located?
This video was filmed in Aurora, Oregon.

Actually, you make me dizzy.
Historians agree that the real life Mary from the Bible was between 12-14 when she gave birth to Jesus...lol
You’re so right! It’s wild that she is usually depicted so much older. This is literally the first young Mary I have every found.

Thank you for watching! :)
What is that painting sitting next to you, one the floor, with bold colors. Thanks.

You're right! It was probably part of a nativity scene. Now I'm going to be hunting for all the pieces. ;)
@@AllPutTogether my grandmother did one with ducks on a pond and a windmill on a cliff. ❤️
Big hug from 🇵🇹
