I work at destileria el pandillo, and all i can say is that we make the best tequila in the world, i was the one who labeled the wood boxes with the logo of G4 tequila and destileria el pandillo for this special 5 year edition box hahaha, glad you enjoy the XA,
Ahh.. You are talking about the 55 month. They didn't have boxes for the 5 year. We ordered those by the barrel. We had 2 barrels of that yummy tequila. :)
"If I could marry it..." as glowing praise as a bottle could ever get I think. I will definitely be keeping my eyes out for this or try to order it when I get to Texas if it's available. I'm still searching to try and find G4 blanco locally to start but this one sounds phenomenal.
@@TheTequilaHombre Awesome! I'll definitely check that out. I'm somewhat familiar with Sip Tequila through trying Compoveda (I know, there's more than likely additives in that one) in Nolensville, TN before.

@@TheTequilaHombre Presentation counts as well, that could be costing him money. What if the tradition continues to the next generation? are they going to change it to G5? I don't mean to bash on them, it's just that I know the masses buy according to looks a lot of the time, hence "cristalinos", and hate that this great tequila often gets overlooked.
@@TheTequilaHombre @Alex Araniva Mark, Thank you for your information and knowledge on G4. I am learning a lot about Tequila from your channel. G4 produces phenomenal quality Tequila, however, Alex is not wrong on this. The bottle and label absolutely looks like a budget brand. Bottle to juice, it is like a milk carton holding a flawless diamond. Ironically, this really is a double edge sword situation because if the bottles were as fitting of the juice inside they undoubtedly would double in price. That would leave us poor souls to either pay more, or not have access to it at all. There is a part of me that is happy that fancy brand/bottle seekers dismiss this brand for its appearance, so I can enjoy it for myself. But, there is also another part of me that wants the brand to get its due respect and praise and not be overlooked for a fancy bottle of 1800 or Don Julio. So I am torn inside because the bottle appearance is a disservice to the brand, but works in service for the brand's customer who recognizes its exceptional quality. I'm betting if they upgraded the bottles even only for the EAs that the entire line would see a boost. I will continue to buy G4 regardless, but that's just my two cents.
@@tiredoffools8929 I understand your thinking.. Felipe is having a hard time keeping up with demand so don't worry, they are doing great. Just bought the 5yr. from Total Wine and More. It was mixed in with the regular bottles. Mark, it appears that this was a limited release from G4, perhaps? It's nearly impossible to find it for purchase and Tequila Matchmaker doesn't even list it. It looks like the current version of this tequila is the "G4 Extra Añejo 55", which is aged for 55 months, so just 5 months shy of 5 years. Have you tried the "55" version? If so, how does it compare to the regular G4 XA and the 5 year XA you reviewed on this video?
We got this in my group on facebook and we are making it available again. If you want to order some you can join my facebook group The Tequila barrel and agave collective or email me at Tequilabarrelcollective@gmail.com. This is better than the 55 month and less expensive.
The Tequila Hombre Thanks for the offer. Yes, I'm currently looking for a top-shelf XA to add to my collection and I'm torn between the G4 5 year, Pasote, Tapatio Excelencia and Tears of Llorona. Only have the budget for one though. I enjoy cooked agave, natural sweetness, fruitness, some barrel but not too much. Which one would you suggest? What's your favorite?
@@ascosta G4 5 year would be my choice. Excelencia and Tears are heavy on the barrel while tears has a lot of the Sherry and brandy note in it with the wood. only drawback is the name and bottle design, makes it look like a budget brand when in fact is the complete opposite!
