Took a chance on this kayak when Oru had their Kickstarter campaign going on. So happy I bought it. So easy to set up and even easier to to break down. It’s great on the water.
Just had this for a week on lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Still loving the boat! Took it fishing, and exploring! Although very stable, I tried to open water rescue it and it worked no problem!
Thanks for the review! When you said you and your gf went in the boat, was that two people in one boat? How comfortable was it? My partner and I are pretty small and was hoping that we can both fit in one.
Yes, I'm about 6 foot 180 and she is about 5' 2" 100 lbs. She sat between my legs and we split th paddle and paddled on opposite sides. Pretty comfortable actually!!
Great review! I assembled in my living room for the first time last night and your review helped more than the official Oru instructions. Do the folds loosen up over time? The toughest part was pushing them out. I'm also wondering why there seem to be extra snaps on the side of the boat.
I’m just doing my research on these boats, so I don’t own one yet and I don’t have an answer to your first question. However, I did see on another UA-cam channel where they discovered the side snaps allowed them to hook two kayaks together to have a float with your friend. I thought that was pretty cool!
This was probably one of the best reviews I've seen for the Inlet! I think you just took me over the edge in my decision!
Thanks Lindsey!! It was the start of COVID and I had some time on my hands! 😀 It's a fun boat! Excited for summer to start!
We just got ours about a month ago. I am 60 and LOVE IT. So easy for me. I wholly recommend .

I love my Oru Inlet, so easy to set up , take down and have loads of fun with
This one vs the beach LT? would be using it in lakes, rivers, inlets and occasionally beaches
Terrific review, thank you. Ours are on the way.
I’ve got one ordered! I needed something lighter that I could handle by myself.
I have heard that the material holds water inside it, have you experienced that? Do you find its a bit too wide for comfortable paddle strokes?
Yo armo esos kayaks y vivo en mexicali baja California Mexico
Hi, could you tell me what is the Orange floor thickness? Is it also 5mm?
Thank you.
Not sure on the thickness, but it isn't removable.

Did you end up buying one?
@@ryanlbiggs Not yet! It is on my wish list until I can afford one. Possibly the next REI dividend.. How is yours holding up?
