Hi Francis, I passed my test today in Warwick for the first time! (and with 5 minors so not the best but not the worst!!). Just wanted to say thank you so incredibly much for these videos, you have been such an major help in my driving journey! As a viewer I can really see and appreciate how much time and effort you put into these videos to make them as engaging and useful as possible for learners. I certainly wouldn't have had the confidence in myself today if it weren't for your help! I will definitely continue to watch and learn! Thank you so much again, and have a great Christmas :)
I passed my test on Tuesday in Exeter almost a clean sheet just 1 hesitation which I spoke about as I did it and corrected but he said he just marked it to make me aware but told me I was a fantastic driver and I spoke about things I saw and made him aware and I was doing it without even forcing myself. Best drive I’ve ever done. Your videos helped me so much and here I am back watching because I just love them. I did fail 2 previous but I didn’t stop one was a silly error on my part after a pull over to the left I looked at sat nav it said next left I didn’t look at the road and it was a no entry she was devastated to fail me on this and the first one was because I got undertaken which I felt was unfair as I was at my speed limit about to move back in, but I don’t even care, keep going everyone and honestly these videos are amazing and positive affirmations I would fall asleep listening to car related stuff. I’m still on cloud 9. And I actually launched myself on top of the examiner when he told me I passed 😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉 merry bloody Christmas to me!? PS I’m 37 I needed this in my life for so long xxxx
Amazing! Congratulations, please stay safe on the roads! Enjoy that license! Thanks for the great content as always Francis YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND, please keep it up! ❤❤❤❤
Hi Sir, just a quck question my wife has health problems, and the people who took her to appointments and hospital are no lounger around to take her any more do you think that at 60 years old it's to late for me to learn to drive? Thank you
@@ianplummer6749 hey Ian it’s never too late to learn to drive! If they trust 17 year olds with 3 tonne cars then once you’ve learned the skills you’ll be a great candidate for a driving licence 😊 let me know if I can help with advice on the process!
In my opinion - you're never too old!! I passed my test 1st time at age 57 and have been driving for nearly 4 years now!! Along with my lessons, I binge watched loads of driving instructor videos, (Including this one) which helped immensely and I still continue to watch them. I enjoy driving so much, I've even started my own channel (not as good as some of the professionals though), I just do it for fun. So, get yourself booked up for some lessons - see how you feel & keep watching all these great UA-cam driving instructor videos!! Good luck 😊👍 Well done to Xanthe on passing her test!!
Hi I'm 55 and taking my 4th test next month my driving instructor says I'm test ready, its never too late go for it. I love these vidoes francis it really helps me thank you. By the way I am learning in automatic
I’m on my third test. Two minors and 1 serious ( the instructor thought I was going to roll into a roundabout and not stop) then completely got in my head in a different area drove too slow and for no reason overtook a bus before entering a roundabout causing the traffic on the right to slow. Don’t have my next attempt until May 😬 I wish there was less pressure on these tests.
@ exactly as it sounds - I was off the accelerator rolling to a stop and he hit the break before me thinking I was going to roll into the roundabout which I wasn’t as I was stopping.
I started doing this old - at 40, I started last year, did many hours and some private practice and still feel that I'm bad. My test is end of January and I'm thinking of giving up as my confidence is so low. Watched hundreds of hours of mock tests and still don't feel like I'm any good. No clue what to do any more to be honest. I need to be able to drive for work.
If you need it for work then don't give up! It doesn't matter how old you are driving is accessible to everyone! If I can help with any specific advice or tips send me a dm on instagram and i'll talk you through it 😊
Don't give up. It's tge right instructor I was 65 and passed in May after changing instructors. They didn't let me give up. I had no confidence and anxiety at every lesson, then one day it all just clicked into place. Keep at it, watch videos. Good luck.
Had my first mock test today and had 4 minors and 3 serious. All things I can correct but have my test early January so nerve racking. Don’t want the long wait if I screw it up.
@@faces_of_horror that's a shame. Do you cycle its another way to practice some of the things you learn on lessons like observation planning ahead check what's happening around you. There is differences but the observation skills are exactly the same . The other option is when you are a passenger try to be a sponge and observe how other do things . If you understand what people around you will do yoi have a good chance. Don't take the mock test as representative of how you will do on a real . What was the serious faults
@ The serious faults were 1) parallel parking, I oversteered and had to adjust too much. 2) I missed a giveaway line after a traffic light and 3) on 1 roundabout I accidentally went into the inside lane. Easy fixes, just silly mistakes
Wow I really don't get how so many of these drivers have not done 30mph and only played in 20mph zones, what happens when they eventually get on to national speed limits?
Seems most roads is forty for dual carriageways in this new test area, twenty in minor side roads and thirty in major roads such as high streets in this mitcham temporary test centre in purley way.😮 Good Luck everyone.😅
I have to say I love how you explain things it really helps…. I passed my driving test over 2 years ago now and as a more mature driver ( 52 ) it’s not come easy…. I absolutely love driving BUT only on familiar roads, I get major anxiety if I know I’m leaving my area and have to bring someone with me …. It’s because I have trouble following the sat nav I don’t look at the screen enough so end up going the wrong away or doing something silly hence the anxiety that’s built up 😞 any advice would be great ❤
UPDATE: Xanthe passed with 1 minor 🥳
Yeah she was amazing only the double right lane switch lanes . Apart from that she was brilliant and deserves her licence
Good stuff👏
Brilliant!
Awww well done Xanthe! Very well deserved 🎉
Well done Xanthe.💜
Passed my test today 🎉 I didn't have the best luck with instructors but your videos were my saving grace😊
Congratulations!!! I'm so glad for you 🎉 May your roads be ever smooth and may your travels be ever safe 🚙
Apart from the abrupt end - a very relaxing video. Well done Xanthe for passing!

It is better to fail rarther than give up and never try.. live life with no regrets
Random question, are you allowed to stop on yellow zigzag lines in a stationary queue of traffic and to give way to oncoming traffic?
Yess girl well done i passed first time with 1 minor i was and still am sooo happy

Are you getting practice outside of lessons. If you are you will be fine
@ Sadly not, I don’t have anyone

Winging it is the best form of parking
Early from 🇯🇲. I pass my theory now, pending my practical.
Which area you are based on though?

That’s the problem with learning in london! You have to get right to the outskirts to get normal roads above 20
@@DrivingSchoolTV really that’s mad and I bet it would take an age to get to there as well.
Wish to have a mock test with you

So did she fail.because of observations parrall park?
Does she have any socials :)
My practical driving test is tomorrow!
wish you good luck!
How’d it go ? :)
