I believe it's deep massage. I have seen videos of laying on a ball and moving around to put pressure on the scars and break them up.
I think if a person is very blocked, that putting a lot of pressure on that area, can result in a rupture and then sepsis, which is an emergency/life threatening, and especially for an older person. So seeing a dr first to see what the specific issue is, why it is blocked, (rule out tumor, or other things) and then do the massage.

I've been having sbo for over 8 years now due to adhesions from a gunshot wound when i was 15. Im in the ER once a month with horrendous pain. What can i do?
One patient has metastatic colorectal tumor, stage 4 , after right hemicolectomy, patient was stable, but after six months again bowel obstruction occurs , pls guide.
What you guys are doing is amazing, I need to find this in Los Angeles. Had an appendectomy 2 years ago and now dealing with what I think are adhesions, intermittent pain in same area surgery was performed with certain movement and it’s starting to affect BM’s
