I was a Mercedes tech around 1999. I had to do dozens of these things. Fastest I ever got was 11 hours I’ve heard of guys in Florida that could get it done in six.(it’s 24 warranty hours) If you could do it without, callbacks it was a good way to make money.
Like somebody said before: "The whole W140 seems to be entirely built over the Fricking Faulty evaporator"!!!... I am Pretty sure not every one would be willing to make this Miracle happen without asking for one of your arms and also a leg. :-(
I don't care what faults may W140 brings, It is the best car ever made and that don't come cheap or without pain in the ass. things fall, the care is old and it is normal that things stop working or fall. I don't care >>> I will learn and I will open it myself.
@EndofUSA Good evening, iI fix it 5 years back, and I sold the car to a friend of mine after couple years because I wasn't satisfied with M104 engine ... the one it worth time and money is the 500sel. However, just be careful when you opening the dashboard is to not break the plastic joint and pillars too... because if something break after putting it back you will hear noises when drive in poor road conditions and if you doing it . Change the steering wheel dog neck at the same time (responsible for moving the steering wheel up and down) . If you need any help visit the Mercedes forums.. they are very hepful . Good luck
I have done one. It was my first and hopefully my last. I never want to do one again. Not sure if it ever worked correctly again. haha. I would send this job down the road. By now these are old and not really worth the money to fix.

How old were the W140s you were working on? Is time likely to affect it, or use?
Машина точно нашему принадлежит. Это наша фишка образками обклеится и обвесится и водить как попало))
Wow this guy i so fast and looks like he is doing it with no manual. He doesnt mark bolts, doesnt label anything. He is crazy or crazy good :P
Nice job thanks

通常经过这样的手术后中控台会不会有异响?
where was this done? Thailand? China, Taiwan?
Not Thailand. I live here, and that's not Thai script on their shirts.
