The more I listen to this and watch it, the more I love it. It's fascinating how Adam's voice changed over the years. I think he worked hard at it. He's a brilliant vocalist, dancer, guitarist, composer, actor, abd entertainer. He's one of the greats.

Still very much punk and Adam and the Ants had a hardcore punk following back then.. of course they went more commercial a couple of years later, well who wouldn't when offered fame and money.. not that they saw much of the money
I have to add, I was lucky enough to actually meet him last month & have a nice chat. What a lovely man! And he looks amazing. Sure, he's colouring his hair & covering his baldness with hats, but I'd give anything to have skin that's aged as well as his!
mandystroyer He looks a lot better and more like he did when he was young and he looks so different he must have had plastic surgery. And by the way I saw a 2001 tv program o. UA-cam that he hosted and he was totally bald and his face looks nothing like it does now.
For those who were around at the time there was only ever one Adam and Ants with a cult underground following, Stuart Goddard ( Adam), Andy Warren (bass), Marc Ryan (guitar) Dave Barbe (drums). There was a decadent edge to them never recaptured. RIP Adam and the Ants
@@richstevenson7955 Kenny Morris of Siouxsie and the Banshees. The full Banshees also filmed a video during this session (Love In A Void) but the original video footage of that has never shown up, nor have the Electric Chairs and Chelsea videos.
Well he didn't need plastic surgery, he was cute even then. Still had an idiosyncratic way of moving but love it at end when he leaps at other band member.
Brilliant stuff from start to finish - so many delicious moments here - - at random; Adam lowering Andy's microphone stand mid-backing vocal, forcing the bassist to bend at the knees to reach the mic....love it!
He would do that to anyone at early gigs. Band members, audience - very often he would get himself in trouble and get badly injured by audience members retaliating.

He's close to 60 & has aged much better than many others younger than him (have you seen Peter Murphy lately?). As to your other comment above, Adam didn't drink or do drugs, unlike most "pop stars", which I imagine is why he's able to come back & tour like a mad man again, after all these years, & look better than most doing it.
Superb! With Kenny Morris standing in on drums. So much more exciting than the shit that's around nowadays. People like Adam would never come through now.
