Morning Tom!! When my boys were young, we only ate deer meat. We were allowed 6 deer back then. That usually supplied a out 400 pounds of meat. I agree, not everyone can live like that. Deer would be gone!! Beaver meat is one of my favorite wild game. They are delicious and most people throw the meat away. Now that I'm older and don't have two hungry boys to feed, my wife and I eat mostly beef. We live in a rural community and I buy a beef from local friends and sometime barter for it. Just yesterday I got 10 chickens from a neighbor. fresh locally grown. Sometimes I think people just don't understand how we live in the country. I once had a person tell me I should buy my meat at the store instead of killing a cow!!!! I could go on and on!!! Can't fix stupid!!! Good luck fishing and I pray your wife does well!!!
Good morning Stacy, Hahaha I love this comment. I couldn't agree with you more. That is so true and you're exactly right about buying local. That's how I get my vegetables. I don't have time to do both hunt fish fish and beef farmer. Yes buy a beef at the grocery store so you don't have to kill a cow. lol hahahaha I am going to be chuckling about this all day long. My daughter has raising 4 boys right now they're eating her out of house and home so I so I understand you and your boys. Thank you very much Stacy for the care package I just got it picked up yesterday. What a great surprise toTo see the tanning solution and a bottle of Maple syrup. I love the muskrat hide. I will be finding something special to do with that hide. One of my grandsons is old enough to go hunting this year. So I'll be taking him deer hunting maybe even a little bit of bear. The next one down is 2 fidgety to be able to set in a tree stand. So I have promised to take him out raccoon trapping. He wants to make sure he gets to do something fun also. lol Thank you for sharing some of your lifestyle in this comment. That's what it's all about we are a dying generation We are a dying breed. This has always been a part of my life. I cannot understand people that's think by going to the grocery store and buying beef you are saving a cow. Tom
@@stacyackerson5100 You made out like a bandit that day all kinds of food. Those are a good fish to eat we have them here now in the lake that I live on. They were illegally introduced but they're really doing well make for a great Pan fish. Tom
My grandfather told me one time if an older gentleman gives you advice while he's cutting an apple and eating the slices right off the blade you should listen to him.Tom that's how I look at you and your channel. Thanks for the advice. And God Bless you and your wife. I pray for her healing.
Good morning Russell, Thank you very much! :) I couldn't agree with you more about an old Feller eating an apple off a hunting knife is a good time to listen and pay attention. I've done that my whole life and I still do it to this day even though I'm getting a little bit older and these old fellows of passing away. It's a good time to be a sponge and soak up as much knowledge as you possibly can. All of that soaking up knowledge over the years has helped me in my lifestyle more than you can imagine. Thank you very much for praying for my wife I really appreciate it it really puts a smile on her face to know that all of you are praying for her well-being. Tom
I agree with you whole-heartedly Tom. There are many game species many people won't eat simply because they choose not to. We think "outside the box", and eat cheaply. We still buy many items, but also we buy in bulk and use it to plan meals that go a long way. Many people say they get bored eating the same thing until it's gone. Left-overs often taste better after they age together. I do not waste food. It's how I was raised and have lived.
Tom I consider you a successful man living the lifestyle. As far as the troll & negative people the world is full of them. Trolls R unhappy people in their own lives what gives them satisfaction he's trying to make someone else upset or miserable. People like that are not worth your energy time or good thoughts. LIVE YOUR LIFE MY FRIEND GOD BLESS.
Good morning Richard, Thank you very much! :) Hahahahahaha I couldn't agree with you more my friend. A lot of unhappy people in this world. I think that they live to try to pull someone else down. I hope you're having a great day! Tom
Tom this Steve , I grew up eating deer , Perch , rabbit , pheasants , bass , walleye. Hunted fishing my whole life and love it and my family loves it. You're very smart and love your videos. Trolls need not comitt or watch if they don't want to learn from some one with the experience to share with people and enjoy it and learn something about the great outdoors. Thanks Tom love you man. God bless you and your wife.
Good morning Steve, Thank you very much! :) that is nice to hear that you grew up eating all those different kinds of wild food. That's exactly how I was raised and live my life. You're absolutely right the boat to trolls I don't give the trolls too much headspace in my head you just can't fix stupid. In my humble opinion. Hahahaha I hope that you're having a great day my friend may God bless you and your family also!
My mother born and raised Down East Coastal Maine . When most lived and hunted and caught most of their life . She met my Dad in NC and raised a family ... I spent many of my best childhood times crawling rock and raking blueberries . i have always dreamed of a permanent return ,but life and the wild extremes of winters keep me Southern fried and hot ... I'm tuning in to hear your voice and the accent of my relative's who no longer walk the wildwoods or clam bake on a cool summer evening . and to catch a glimpse of dream I've never forgotten . thanks for the memories that come rushing in like high tide on a full moon .
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) you're absolutely right the people down east on the coast of Maine definitely know how to live off the land. I have huge respect those people. Hahahaha yes winter is definitely a tough time of year LOL That is music to my ears my friend would you like to sit and listen to my voice and remember back to a different time. I do the same thing when I sit in the woods I always remember back to my past of different hunting trips different deer than I've taken a rabbit hunts always remembering the memories I'm being in the woods. Thank you very much for this awesome comment. Tom
my soul remembers the early morning fog on a cool summer morning as the cows huddle for warmth and the smell of clover and hay hanging heavy in the mist Eagles hunting in the river at sunrise . Campfires made for singing ghost stories and marshmallows My memories just as sweet as the ever elusive golden crust . i romanticized the heck out of it every summer ,but i keep my mouth shut in winter !
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) Hahaha we all need to fall in love and have kids lol. I married my wife when I was 19 years old we just turned out 40th anniversary. My wife is always understood my lifestyle and I have always come and gone as I please it's been a great life. Tom
That's right ,good vedio love to see people doing exactly what they want to do.we was brought up like that.lived off the land.not the best but we made it as kids.
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) you're absolutely right sometimes this lifestyle isn't the best but we all make it LOL same thing when I was growing up as a kid. Tom
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) I couldn't agree with you more I think one of the best things I eat out of the woods is the porcupine. A slow-cooked porcupine and a dutch oven at the cabin with carrots and potatoes and onions oh my goodness is that a good meal. Thank you for the awesome comment love to hear that someone else eats groundhogs. Tom
There are few people today that can really live that type of lifestyle, and I happen to be one of them I do not go out to eat I don't like crowds, I keep what I harvest and don't eat what I end up wasting and I enjoy my lifestyle thanks for your comment
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) boy do I like this comment I like running into someone that's just like me. Someone that doesn't like to be around crowds someone that doesn't like to go out to restaurants to eat. And most certainly someone that keeps their Harvest it does not practice catch and release. In my opinion catch-and-release only hurts the fish population. Catch-and-release creates small fish not large ones I don't understand why the biologists don't get this I have been watching it for 50 years. With the introduction of Pike in our Waters it is more evident to me than ever before. The pike have thin down the fish numbers and the fish in those legs have gotten much bigger. And some of these Lakes I have been fishing for 30 to 40 years so I really have a good idea of what's going on in them. Thanks for the great comment. Tom
Good morning Gary, Thank you very much! Hahahaha yes I don't hold back sometimes LOL that's just the way I am and real-life I say it the way I see it. There's a lot of old-time Mainer's that do the same thing. I hope you're having a great day! Tom
good video tom. you will never get the so called trolls to figure anything out, i've learned that over the years, so i don't even bother trying anymore. thats part of the reason this country is messed up. thanks for sharing bud, hope all is going good for the wife
Good morning Dan, Thank you very much! :) hey Dan we're working on my way towards deer season again LOL. You're absolutely right I don't give the troll too much headspace in my head LOL I got too much going on to worry about that crap. You can't fix stupid and you can't fix stupid that throws Common Sense out the window. Lol Tom
Good morning Tom I already had my Coffee. It is 6.53 am Sunday morning. I hope your wife is feeling better. I watch this video for about 15 minutes. I have class at 8.00 am. Pray I never have to use the Lessons. The white tale deer 🦌 was almost wiped out during the great depression.Have a great week.Live Free or Die Wolverines.
Good morning Michael, Thank you very much my friend. You're absolutely right. With the population as big as it is now it wouldn't take much overhunting to wipe out the white tail population again. Thank you very much for taking time before your class I knew this was a long one. I was sitting in the boat and lost track of time while I was making it lol. Tom
Tom I spent my summers as a kid in Camden Maine.at the age of 11 my dad would drop me of at the Camden boat dock.i would fish all day for mackerel. And sell them too the fish market and I never get sic of the ole Mainer lingo..
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) hahaha that is definitely what to mean lifestyle is all about what a great story from your childhood. I didn't catch mackerel and sell them. But I did dig earthworms and sell them by the roadside all summer. Tom
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) I'm with you I prefer the longer videos when I am watching other people's channels as well. I have another long video coming out you might like it's about 30 minutes. This one did very well so I am going to do some more along this same line. So far this video picked up 40 new subscribers that's the only thing that I use for a measure is the how a video is doing. I hope you're having a great day! Tom
Good morning Keith, Hahahaha Hahahaha I'll be chuckling over this comment all day my friend. You know sometimes when you just get talking things just spill out of your mouth kinda like foot in mouth disease. Hahahaha. I almost edited out all that talk about bass fishing lol but in the end I felt that was the real me speaking so I left it in. You know just keeping it real my friend. That's why I'm going to be chuckling all day Over your comment maybe even tomorrow while I'm at camp. Hahahaha. You cannot believe how much trouble I have gotten into over the years when I start talking about bass fishing. I live on the largest bass fishing lake in the state of Maine. People come to this lake from all over the country to bass fish. Hahahaha I am not kidding Sometimes they have tournaments with 300 boats or more. If not it sure seems that cause I can hear him from my house. It's kind of like talking about politics at the Sunday table lol. You have a great week of fishing I do know deep down inside that you guys have as much of a Passion for bass fishing as I have a Passion for everything else lol. Your friend hahahaha 😆 Tom
Hello Tom, What a great video. I can almost image what type of comment that troll made. They are so ignorant or uninformed. You're lifestyle in this day and age is unique. Guys like me can hunt and fish and get some of our food but I am far from the skills that you have. That's one reason I watch your channel, I learn so much. Another reason is that I think you and I just sort of " click " in regards to our beliefs and our outlook. I'm certain that if we lived near each other we would be good friends. Anyways, as usual your thoughts are spot on and I thank you for your videos. Joe
Good morning Joe, Thank you very much! :) I don't give the trolls much headspace in my head LOL. You can't fix stupid Joe and you can't fix people that throw Common Sense out the door. We most definitely do click Joe I think of you often and how much I would love to visit your little Cabin in the Woods. I know Don will you would jump in my boat for days worth of fishing or go sit in the tree stand with me. And we do have a great day. I don't say that to just everybody Joe because you watch my videos you can see that I am a loner. Just like yourself I know this because look at the size of your cabin LOL the new cabin that I built at Beaver Creek last year is 8 ft by 12 ft lol I figure if someone shows up to visit they probably ought to bring a tent. Lol because there's no room in the cabin. I am very glad that you found this channel to many years ago. I enjoy and look forward to your comments. I'm really glad you figured out how to get me a picture of your cabin. I hope you're having a great day! Tom
Good video! I can’t find the video on the in depth set up of the sliding hook rig. I’m Really interested in lake trout fishing. Thanks for all you do!!!
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) I haven't made the follow-up video on the sliding hook rig but I will do it very soon. You are more than welcome I enjoyed sharing the videos and knowledge and my lifestyle. I'm trying to leave a legacy for my grandchildren and these videos are part of it. Tom
Tom, good video. Felt like I was hanging out in the boat with you while enjoying my coffee. The world is full of naysayers and it’s actually kinda fun to see the humor in their way of thinking.
Good morning Norman, Thank you very much! :) that is great that's what I hope you feel when I do these videos from a tree stand or in a boat or at the coffee table at the cabin. That's how my life is when I have someone in my boat we just chewed the fat all day. Hahahaha I couldn't agree with you more I do find the humor and stupid you can't fix stupid and you can't help people that throw Common Sense out the door.
Good morning Mike, Thank you very much! No big deal about the troll I have great big shoulders. :) no I know it most people wouldn't look at my lifestyle is normal but to me it's pretty normal LOL
If you know what you're doing and you've lived off greater as long as you have sir there's a season for everything together to cook Everything there's a season for everything hunters and gathers been doing it for millions of years you are no different sir and don't listen to the hacklers or the d*** trolls You're doing it your way you know what you're doing and I respect the fact that you live off grid you live off the land more people should learn how to do this everything that you gather is survival
Good morning Loyd, Thank you very much! :) I couldn't agree with you more. Man has been doing this since the beginning of time. You're absolutely right. I don't I don't give the trolls very much headspace at all. That's right this so much to learn about living off the land learning what's edible learning the weather learning safe times to be in the woods and on the water it is all in one package called survival. I can tell that you are a very wise man also thank you very much for this awesome comment. Tom
Stupid seems to be a real problem in this country today unfortunately. Problem is most people don't know or want to know about an off grid lifestyle with skills that they may need someday soon. Have a good day my friend.
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) Hahahahahaha you got that right stupid seems to be the thing nowadays. No common sense and you can't fix stupid. Mother Nature has a way of getting rid of stupid. It's called disease and food shortage when it comes to Mother Nature. If there's not enough food in an area and the animals don't move they die off. Well you get where I'm going here with food shortages coming to around the world Mother Nature is getting ready to do what it does best get rid of stupid LOL I know that sounds cruel but that's just the way Mother Nature works. Tom
Living by the seasons is also kinda hard in Maine. The seasons don't always jive especially in Spring and Fall. It's the lifestyle that counts though; if you can't handle it, you shouldn't live in the country. Recently a person in our area (who just moved here from a city dwelling) posted a picture of a coyote and said it was beautiful. It was a very healthy coyote and beautiful fur but "locals" said they would have shot it and the person who posted got very upset. Problem is, the coyote numbers here are growing and many people with livestock as well as domestic dogs and cats are going missing. As you and others have said, "You just can't fix stupid."
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) there are so many seasons in the state of Maine that I did not list even a fraction of the different seasons and different seasons of food that can be gathered here in the great state of Maine. You are absolutely right really do this legal seasons line up with the Harvest. As far as fishing game is concerned we don't need to eat from the woods they say the state of Maine has plenty of welfare programs. Well I don't need to tell you that I disagree with that statement LOL I couldn't agree with you more about the coyote don't get me wrong I love Coyotes I love hearing them but I hate what they do to my deer population my rabbit population my small game population. They have really decimated the herd of deer in northern Maine and we really need to thin them down. We cannot fix stupid when stupid throws Common Sense out the window. Lol
You're right. I can't sit in a treestand all day but I can sit and fish all day. I've tried tree stand hunting. It's ok but I get bored staring at the same trees all day. I like still hunting and tracking. I can move and explore and see things that the average tree stand hunter likely will never see. I do sit periodically. I usually sit the first couple hours of the morning. From legal hunting time until 9 or 930 am, I usually sit or still hunt very very slowly. Then I walk until usually 1130 or noontime when people are leaving the woods for lunch. Somedays I sit more often. Others I do not. On those hot days, I may sit the first hour or two and I may go explore the local swamp or a food source. Either way, we all do what we want and what we think is right. Don't let these trolls get to you. They are like a school yard bully. They talk a lot until you are face to face and you crack them in the mouth then they got nothing to say. I'm a Bass fisherman. This is the beauty of humans. We can agree to disagree and be civil about it. In some ways, I agree with you on some points. I feel the same way about other fish. With the way this world is going and the current political administration, living off the land looks like it's going to be a very good skill to master because let's face it shortages of food and gas and everyday essentials are becoming more and more prominent.
Where you are in Maine, it may be different. Where I am, the Whitetail Deer population is exploding. We still have an overabundance of predators such as Coyotes but Deer are definitely getting more prominent. Personally, I think IFW needs to look at different areas of Maine and focus on management in each specific areas versus saying this is how we are going to do it for the entire state. As for breaking laws, I won't break laws but if I have exhausted all other possibilities for food and nothing has panned out, I will absolutely take an extra Deer rather it is legal or not. My family will not go hungry just because of some law.
I think a lot of people are scared of eating Bass, Raccoon, Porcupine etc. We all hear about the diseases and people don't know much about it and I think it scares them. Others don't think about all the Rabbits etc that are safe to eat. They view these animals as a nuisance and that's it. They don't look at them as a food source.
Good morning David, Thank you very much! :) when I was younger I couldn't sit in a tree stand either. I always had to be on the move scouting and looking what's over the next Ridge. As I got older hiking through the woods has become more difficult so I began to sit in tree stands. I still do a lot of scouting but I do that through the summer months September October leading up to November. Here's the fun part now I definitely Place some tree stands on the back doors of a piece of woods where I know people are moving around during the day. Over the years by sitting in the tree stand plug in the back door I have taken some pretty nice bucks from the still Hunters pushing through a piece of woods. Just a little food for thought here. I'm the same way I'd never leave the woods from sunup to sundown I have taken many deer between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. when most people are sitting back at Camp having coffee and a hot lunch. Tom
Good morning David, Thank you very much! The Rustic Log Cabin is in far northern Maine. Beaver Creek deer hunting camp is in Western Maine. We have more deer per square mile in Western Maine. The deer population in northern Maine there are many square miles with no deer in it. Our harsh Winters and high coyote numbers really do a number on the deer population. It's good to hear that your deer population is exploding. You really have to be a good deer hunter in the state of Maine to take a deer regularly. When I was younger and could get around the whole lot faster I took a deer every single fall without missing. Now with age I still take my share of deer but it is a little more difficult. Yes they treat different areas in the state of Maine different and how they are trying to establish the deer population. One of the big things here that I think will be helping the deer population is fewer and fewer Hunters each year. I think that'll make a big difference around my Beaver Creek deer camp is years come. Hard Winters in northern Maine are always going to be an issue for the whitetail deer as well as lack of food. For several years now the loggers have been really laying into the cedar thickets that is making a difference. These Cita thickets are there winter habitat but the white tail in northern Maine so I do have some concerns.
Good morning, Thank you very much! I couldn't agree with you more! So much knowledge has been lost over the years about what is edible food in the wild like bass porcupine raccoon all of it Etc. What I mean by this is even eating food is a seasonal thing for me. I don't eat panfish in the summer months other than white perch. I don't eat yellow perch in the summer months and I don't eat summer month caught Bass. I only eat those kind of pan fish caught through the ice in the winter time. So what I am doing with my channel is trying to share what I do and what I eat. But for the most part I think most people have gotten so far away from eating Wild game but they are petrified of it and their talk to me scared of it. But for me and you know as well as I do there are so many chemicals and additives added to growing a chicken or growing a cow or anything like this that you buy out of the grocery store. Don't even get me started on farm-raised fish the most polluted fish on the earth that you can eat as a farm-raised salmon. So many chemicals and poisons in a farm-raised salmon that I am surprised that people will purchase it out of a grocery store. I know that if I'm eating a groundhog it is grass-fed I know that if I'm eating a black bear it is grass-fed most people think a bear is a scavenger well it's not it primarily eats fruits vegetables and grass. I know this because every time I open up the stomach on a Maine black bear it is mostly filled with apples in the fall or completely full of green grass. I also know that where I am hunting there's a hundred square miles of nothing to me you probably can't get any cleaner of a meat to eat. It's the same thing with raccoons and I'm going to do a video on raccoons. I would not eat a raccoon that I took from the city that has spent an entire lifetime eating trash and garbage out of a garbage can. I can guarantee you the raccoons and I'm eating I only eating stuff that is found in Mother Nature and I'm good with that. But I do think this is a point that should be made that I don't think anyone should be eating a raccoon that lives on garbage out of a trash can. But it's like anything as a generation of people goes by we keep throwing away knowledge how to knowledge that is not good in my opinion for any group of people do not learn from our mistakes in the past and gained knowledge to pass forward.
Gday Tom. The troll took time out of their day to leave a bad comment on your video. So that tells you just how pathetic their life really is. That was their highlight for the day. Quite funny really🤣
Good morning Aaron, Thank you very much my friend! Hahahaha I couldn't agree with you more lol I know it the life of a troll really can't be that good. I don't usually spend any time at all oleave it all on a troll comment but I thought I could turn this one into a positive people are really trying to learn something new. I hope you're having a great day! Tom
well if people figure out there oil here, we thrown it out, recycle plastic it from oil, there way to return to it proper form it was made from, make gas and deisel free from plastic, get free food fish & hunt & plant food & live off plants and small animals!, home steading live stock chickens and pigs & a cow milk the store going bare too!
Don’t let the haters get you down Tom. They’re just jealous imbeciles who wouldn’t last 5 minutes if they ever got lost in the bush (sorry woods as you say!) 🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
Good morning Sam, Hahahaha You're absolutely right Sam I don't let them get me down. Figured it made for a good topic and I was sitting in the boat and lost track of time. I really wanted to share how I have done it all these years. I don't have time to be a farmer and a hunter and fishermen all at the same time. So I get my vegetables from bomb sands things like that all locally grown. Especially now we have a quite a few Is great farm stands in the state now. The local farmer is really making a big comeback and the state of Maine would be small land food plots. I hope you're having a great day my friend! Tom
HI Tom i see same one crossed the line and when stupid. if they know you or looked at all your movies they would know better. don't you love it when a plan comes together then fall over to stupid. if that person had any common sense think about it and not as my sister say put brain in gear be for mouth. Tom prays are out for your wife you have a great day and look to heaven for your answers he is there.
Good morning Enos, Thank you very much! :) Hahahahahaha you can never fix stupid my friend. These same people throw Common Sense out the front door. They don't have a lick of Common Sense. Thank you very much for your prayers it really makes my wife smile. She really loved it that I put that video together to share with all of you and ask for prayers. She had a great big smile on her face that evening. That really made my day! Tom
Hello Tom, You tell it like it is and don't worry about some miserable pecker head. All I have to say to people like that is don't let the door hit you in the arse! Bye bye. I want to have your life style, I dream to fish and hunt all day. Off subject.... I just read where the State of Maine tagged 40 baby moose, 30 have died do to ticks. Thats some crazy numbers if you think of the entire herd. Tell your wife Edman will be praying for her tonight. How's the fishing been?
Good morning Edman, Thank you very much! :) Hahahahahaha you can't fix stupid that's for sure and you can't help people that throw Common Sense out the door. So you can bet your bottom dollar I don't give the trolls a whole lot of headspace LOL. But it did give me a chance to make a pretty good video. These Straight Talk videos and don't pull any punches really do quite well. This video picked up 40 subscribers can you even imagine picking up 40 subscribers from one video. That doesn't happen very often and it really surprises me when it does. Hahahaha I do feel that I have a pretty good lifestyle Edman. I have lived this way for so so many years I don't know how to live any other way. I haven't seen that study but I believe every bit of it. From what I have been seeing in the woods the last few years especially when it comes to the Moose. We already know that the ticks are a huge problem in the state of New Hampshire when it comes to Moose. They will take down and kill a full-grown moose overtime because of the amount of ticks that are found on the moose. When it comes to ticks I don't know what the answer is but there is plenty of them in the woods that's for sure. Thank you very much for your prayers for my wife it really made her day to know that all of you were praying for her. Her name is Diane just in case you would like to know. Tom
He wants to make sure he gets to do something fun also. lol
Thank you for sharing some of your lifestyle in this comment. That's what it's all about we are a dying generation We are a dying breed.
This has always been a part of my life. I cannot understand people that's think by going to the grocery store and buying beef you are saving a cow.
Tom
@@EastGrandWoodsman My neighbor I got the chickens from also gave me two packages of crappie filets!!!
@@stacyackerson5100 You made out like a bandit that day all kinds of food. Those are a good fish to eat we have them here now in the lake that I live on. They were illegally introduced but they're really doing well make for a great Pan fish.
Tom
🤣 "...buy my meat from the store instead of killing a cow!!!!" Oh my word! 🤣
Good morning Tom! You speak words of wisdom sir!!
Good morning , Thank you very much for your kind words my friend.
Tom
Hahahaha
I hope that you're having a great day my friend may God bless you and your family also!
Respect Tom, all the Best with your lifestyle mate my brother would love your lifestyle hunter and fishing 🎣
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) it has been a pretty good lifestyle has its ups and downs but it's always interesting.
Tom
My mother born and raised Down East Coastal Maine .
When most lived and hunted and caught most of their life .
She met my Dad in NC and raised a family ...
I spent many of my best childhood times crawling rock and raking blueberries .
i have always dreamed of a permanent return ,but life and the wild extremes of winters
keep me Southern fried and hot ...
I'm tuning in to hear your voice and the accent of my relative's who no longer
walk the wildwoods or clam bake on a cool summer evening .
and to catch a glimpse of dream I've never forgotten .
thanks for the memories that come rushing in like high tide on a full moon .
Good morning, Thank you very much! :) you're absolutely right the people down east on the coast of Maine definitely know how to live off the land. I have huge respect those people.
Hahahaha yes winter is definitely a tough time of year LOL
That is music to my ears my friend would you like to sit and listen to my voice and remember back to a different time. I do the same thing when I sit in the woods I always remember back to my past of different hunting trips different deer than I've taken a rabbit hunts always remembering the memories I'm being in the woods.
Thank you very much for this awesome comment.
Tom
my soul remembers the early morning fog
on a cool summer morning as the cows huddle for warmth
and the smell of clover and hay hanging heavy in the mist
Eagles hunting in the river at sunrise .
Campfires made for singing ghost stories and marshmallows
My memories just as sweet as the ever elusive golden crust .
i romanticized the heck out of it every summer ,but i keep my mouth shut in winter !
Good morning Tom,
I enjoy learning about your lifestyle.
Good morning, Thank you very much! I enjoy sharing my lifestyle I hope you're picking something useful up that you can use my friend.
Tom
Good to visit again Tom , your videos are full of knowledge , thanks for sharing , God bless !
Good morning Michael, Thank you very much! :) God bless you my friend.
Great respect for your life style.... I grew up like this.. before I fell in love and had kids.
Tom
Awesome Mr. Tom, great advice, really enjoyed your video this morning, greetings South Africa
Good morning Alan, Thank you very much! :) thank you for your comment I love knowing where people come from. South Africa that's awesome.
Tom
Awesome Video very educational grandpa always eat groundhogs and porcupines they are very delicious 👋🏽👍🏽
Tom
Love your honesty
Lol
Tom
Tom
@@EastGrandWoodsman your video was very informative. Well worth the time. Someday your videos my save someone.
Tom
I prefer the longer videos. Thanks for doing one.
Tom
Tom you're killing me... lmao.. going bass fishing for a week at the end of the month up on the border
Your friend hahahaha 😆
Tom
Tom
Great video Tom !
Good morning Kevin, Thank you very much! :) Tom
You are kind a cool guy! I like this
Good morning Zane, Thank you very much! :) That's always a good thing to hear.
Good morning Tom sorry about that troll you have they don’t look outside the box. What we call normal isn’t the same for most. Have a great day
Good morning Mike, Thank you very much! No big deal about the troll I have great big shoulders. :) no I know it most people wouldn't look at my lifestyle is normal but to me it's pretty normal LOL
Tom have a great day heading out fishing and going to camp to cut next year's fire wood and this time I got help my grandsons life is good
Good morning, Good for you that is always fun bringing along a grandson or two LOL good luck fishing I hope.
You know fishing with grandkids is always a adventure but they will always remember that going to camp with gramps
Yes it is lol
If you know what you're doing and you've lived off greater as long as you have sir there's a season for everything together to cook Everything there's a season for everything hunters and gathers been doing it for millions of years you are no different sir and don't listen to the hacklers or the d*** trolls You're doing it your way you know what you're doing and I respect the fact that you live off grid you live off the land more people should learn how to do this everything that you gather is survival
Good morning Loyd,
Thank you very much!
Well you get where I'm going here with food shortages coming to around the world Mother Nature is getting ready to do what it does best get rid of stupid LOL
I know that sounds cruel but that's just the way Mother Nature works.
Well I don't need to tell you that I disagree with that statement LOL
I couldn't agree with you more about the coyote don't get me wrong I love Coyotes I love hearing them but I hate what they do to my deer population my rabbit population my small game population.
Hahahaha I couldn't agree with you more lol
I know it the life of a troll really can't be that good.
I don't usually spend any time at all oleave it all on a troll comment but I thought I could turn this one into a positive people are really trying to learn something new.
I hope you're having a great day!
Tom
@@EastGrandWoodsman and you did turn it into a positive😎
well if people figure out there oil here, we thrown it out, recycle plastic it from oil, there way to return to it proper form it was made from, make gas and deisel free from plastic, get free food fish & hunt & plant food & live off plants and small animals!, home steading live stock chickens and pigs & a cow milk the store going bare too!
👍👍👍
Tom
