I am from Maine, right up by beaver creek. Maine was built on wood products, plastics (oil industry) have taken away the wood industry and we keep drinking their kool aid. Just voted down the corridor, that helped oil. Both my parents worked in the mills of northern Maine, raised me to hunt and fish. I am passing that on to my kids. I could eat a deer liver when I was a kid, not anymore, it’s filled with pfas and other toxins from all the plastics in the air, in the water. No one is coming for your guns, the oil industry is using the gun lobby to put their candidates in office. Follow the money Tom. The one thing that effects me passing my heritage on the most is land access, please stop posting your land, you are only borrowing it for a while, let other people enjoy what little is left of the land, and stop putting plastic signs all over it. Love your videos. Appreciate your point of view. I am a gun carrying, buck hunting, partridge shooting, perch filleting Democrat who knows we are a lot closer than what our fascist media likes to paint us. Keep up the good work Tom. Can’t get enough of your videos. Have a good one!

Good morning, Thank you very much! :) yes you're absolutely right I do believe voting down that power corridor it's right up there with one of the more foolish things at this state has voted. Like you said they're still drinking the Kool-Aid. Whenever it comes to business in this state they always vote it down it's that not in my backyard mentality.
Voting down the power corridor and the big propane station on the coast years ago is why we have to pay big prices everything in this state.
I look at that power Corridor is a big food plot for all of the animals think about it couple hundred feet wide field the length of the power line grass has all kinds of stuff for the deer are rabbits everything as well as a great place to hunt. Lots of people hunt the power lines during deer season.
On top of that it will produce some great power for the state of Maine not just Massachusetts. As you can tell I've got a lot to say about that power line LOL stupid stupid stupid vote.
Very good for you passing it on to your kids that's exactly what I am doing with my grandsons.
You're absolutely right about posting land in the last couple of years I have never seen so many posted signs going up. I have a feeling it's from outside is buying up big chunks of land and the first thing that they do is slap up posted signs.
Well if you are a gun carrying buck hunting Partridge shooting perch fishing Democrat you are more than welcome on this channel LOL Hahahaha
Thank you for all the kind words about the channel I do try to keep it real. This is how I live and have always lived.
I hope you have a great day!

Good morning Tom. Been a while since I made any comments. You are absolutely right brother. They've been doing the same thing here. Getting into local gov't. to change things. We don't want it either. But it don't matter to them what WE the People want. To me nature is a lot more civilized than human society. I'm going back to the woods. Another fine informative video Tom. See you soon.

Great video Tom! This is just not a Maine problem, its a every state problem! I'm from Texas born and raised(63yrs old). One of our problems, for the outdoor person here,(is the use and abuse). You can go to the woods or lake, you can see where people have been, from the trash they have left. Coming home yesterday,i saw where someone threw out the Teal they had killed on the side of the road. It is very saddening to see this! People have no morals anymore!

I have made some great friends with many native mainers over the years, and your right about being welcome with open arms. But I also realize it's my responsibility to respect and learn the ways of Maine if I want to continue to be welcomed.

Good evening James, you got it my friend! :) it's just as so many people are moving to the state and they get on the town councils in the capital in Augusta now they trying to send one to Washington is one of our Senators. I think that's what got under my skin a little bit with this video it was on my mind Sara Gideon from Rhode Island. Is a typical example someone from away that's trying to change everything about the state of Maine.
I'd like to call her a wolf in sheep's clothing.
You got the right idea my friend you will be welcome in the state. I look forward to the day when you tell me you have finally moved I know that there are a lot of my viewers I would love to move to the state of Maine. I told them to move north of the Kennebec River. South of the Kennebec River I have my questions LOL.

On that note I wish your advice was heard and heeded all across these United States of ours.
I often wondered why they move here? People even come to America for a better life, they get into politics and try and change America to what they left behind. People don’t buy into their crap!

Good evening Hershel, :) Thank you! :) I think I'm preaching to the choir but I had some stuff I needed to get off my chest that day at the cabin. I really hope some people listening I do think that there is a silent majority in this country. It really is time to stop voting for these Foolish people with their foolish ideas. Never in my lifetime did I ever think that we were this close to becoming a Socialist Communist country.
The changes they want to make exactly like you say make it like where they came from. Especially if they are from a different country what the heck is up with that.
If life in their communist country was so great then why did they ever want to leave it and all they have to do is move back. I'm saying that with as much love as I possibly can but I do believe it is come time to push back.
I hope you and your family are having a great week my wife is still recovering going to take a little while. I really appreciate you keeping us in your prayers last week.
I hope you and your family are having a great week I got a feeling you're going to like the next video coming out soon I'm not sure yet if it'll be Wednesday or next Sunday. Shooting Lanes from a tree stand. I get a kick out of you watching these videos because I know that you know this stuff as much as I do but I'm only trying to get it down for the young people that I trying to learn this craft. Being a solo Hunter Country Boy Will Survive type Hunter truly is a craft.

I totally agree with you and your views, Tom. I've seen it happen as well. City folks with big money moving into farming country because of the open spaces and beauty of the surrounding lands. The first things they begin to do is complain about the "odors" coming from the farms, i.e. Manure fragrances. These are all the ways of farming areas. They should either get used to them or move back to the cities. I live in a city which used to be an industrial city. Because of the liberal majority around here, most all manufacturing has moved away or closed down. Our major automobile assembly plant moved to the next town over to get away from them. It is sad. Now they want to increase property taxes to keep and improve the city going forward. There is no end to this because there are mostly liberal minded people here now. One cannot even sell their home without a point of sale, city inspection, which costs additional fees not easily afforded. They get you coming and going. Keep up the wonderful videos Tom and good luck in the coming deer season. Thanks. Ohio.

Great video Tom. Point well made!!! I was born in southern Maine and have lived on the same piece of land for all of my 65 years. Am proud to have done that. Have been to the north many times, hunting and fishing. Wonderful country. Wanted to move there when I retired but I am stuck down here because of a disability, so my dream has been put to the wayside. Now, my point of this message to you people of the north country is do not let happen up there what has happened down here for the last 50 years. Most of our wood’s here either have been put into housing development or posted no trespassing. An awful shame. So if possible try to keep your part of this state as beautiful as I and many others remember. Dig your heels in and fight a good fight. Take care Tom and keep getting the message out there. Stay safe, stay strong and stay healthy.

I remember a time when successful deer hunters used to hang their deer in the backyard trees. It was done to cool their game and age it slightly as well as have friends and neighbors revel in the tales of the hunt and admire their good fortune. Today, you never see a deer hanging in the town. It has become almost a crime to subject anyone to a see a carcass of a dead animal that has been harvested. We are asked to hide from sight our success as if it is something shameful. ( at least in the eyes of liberals) The only time they want to see meat is on their plate in a fancy restaurant. lol... Thanks for listening.

Good evening, boy you're right you still see a few around here but nowhere is near like you used to. I remember the day when people respected the Hunter. It really was a big deal to be a hunter and if you was a successful Hunter they would lift you up.
I'm afraid the tree hungers and leftist Communist party that's trying to take over this country don't view the self-reliant Hunter the same way.
They are after the self-reliant people that have built this country and built businesses and trying to shut them down. In this state the Democratic governor is doing all she can do to break the backs of the people on this date you can bet your bottom dollar.
But I'm telling you the people of this state still have a backbone at least in northern Maine and the second district can kick the first district ass if we can get out the vote.
I hope you're having a great week you and your family thank you for checking out this video and leaving a comment. You brought me down memory lane with deer hanging in trees and the great pride that went along with that.

I educate myself very well before I vote for anybody now. Sadly it has become the lesser of two evils these days. It makes you not even want to vote. Sadly yu end up voting for one just to keep the other one from getting in even though neither is truly what you want. God Bless and Good Hunting!

hi tom i am just like you i have lived here all my life born and raised 70years i now think after the first fight over bear hunting we have 2 parts in this state southern part is known as little massachusetts . northen is the only place that is still mainers. a mainer that was a bear guide that was in big trouble with if&w all the time started that whole mess from out of stater coming in with there money to stop huntting bear. now the first thing that out of stater do is post there land and don't want any one on it. now for huntting on sunday governor baldacci was all for it the maine sportsman ass. pushed for it. now i know a lot about this as i as on the maine trappers ass board (not me ) as i wanted to hunt on sunday the mta was not for it and gave 3 thousand dollars to help stop it so trappers could trap one day a week with out hunters also maine wood lot ass. did not want it as people that own land wanted to walk on there land and not get shot at. 4 thousand more from them so it not just one sided that wants change here. you are right as my little town of 500 the town is all out of stater on the board. and it is 3 to 1 me 3 out of stater sorry for being long winded but this is a hot item with me. keep up the good job i fine myself going over your viedos time again

Good evening Enos, I couldn't agree with you more about southern Maine versus northern Maine Southern Maine is mostly transplants with lots of money and leftist Views and Democratic votes. That's why this crap keeps getting passed in this state but the second district can out vote them if they just pay attention. If it wasn't for the second district we would have lost our bear hunting rights a few years ago. Now we need to get rid of the rank Choice voting I was so hoping that was going to make it on the ballot this year. This ranked-choice voting is just another way for the Democrats to steal the vote don't let them kid you. This is what the Democratic party has come to conniving ways to steal the American vote is happening right before our eyes.
They buy land in our state and post it immediately and here's the worst part they post it and never walk on it again.
      You have a great week!
      Tom

Listen, Don't categorize all of us from down south as "little Mass". We don't appreciate what they do either. Just be cause we "were a closer commute" we were overrun first. The housing market prices had something to do with that as well. They jacked the prices up so high a local couldn't buy but the people from the cities could roll right in and grab everything. I have lived in southern Maine my entire life. I hunt and fish and follow everything Tom said in the video. I love "up north" and as I don't get up there as often as I like, I also love where I'm at. We have the same issues as you do up there, but ten fold because we were easier access. That's one thing I have always thought was odd of our wonderful state, if you live below the Augusta line your not considered a "True Mainer". Well, I have news for ya, I'm just as much a Mainer that appreciates our heritage and way of life as anyone who is from "the county". We should be fighting the ones who come in and want change, not each other.

      @@bensmith5430 Good afternoon Ben, :)
You are absolutely right you and all of the coastal people all the way up to Eastern Maine. Local people cannot afford coastal property. It's happening again right now all the way up into the county. People from a way of purchasing property site unseen 20 30 $40000 above sticker. This crap is rolling our way like a steam roller. I know exactly how you feel When it comes to voting being outnumbered There is a lot of good mainer in Southern Maine And central Maine. It's just when it comes to the way people vote you wouldn't know it. I think we've got a real problem on our hands in this state right now as I'm sure you already know from living South of the Kennebec river. Now that they passed that ranked choice voting it's going to be very difficult to change anything in this state back to normal. You have a great day my friend thank you for getting in on this comment it's a real eye opener.
      Tom

as for all true maine people and you are i didn't say you are from out of maine I said that both sides are trying to change our way of life and if you want to live in that mess you can. as for vetoer if it was just maine vetoing you would see that the veto would come in heavy from the south not for anything but change that is where the money is. and they think they own all of us and maine. sorry you took it the wrong way.

Had to pause on this. I’ve enjoyed your videos....and while I understand what you’re saying there is a segment of folks like myself who do wish we could live in Maine and want to keep things as they are. As a cabin owner and land owner in this state I have supported Maine for a very long time. I’m as much of a Mainer in my heart as anyone. Location doesn’t mean you’re not a Mainer...it’s just where life put some of us. There is a hyper sensitivity by those born in Maine who believe anyone else doesn’t really belong. We welcome you but don’t overstay your welcome. I feel “out of staters” have taken the bad rap for poor decisions in the state for years. Lumbering companies have been allowed by the state to clear cut beyond repair many hundreds and thousands of acres including the wintering yards of deer. The management of Maines best natural resources have been poorly managed by those who are suppose to be Mainers. Maine itself hasn’t done a great job of managing it’s own natural resources.....and that has been a long time in the works. Here is the sham...liberals have been allowed to come into Vermont, Maine , and NH and they are indeed the ones changing your heritage and culture. There are out of staters who truly love the state of Maine and it’s traditions and the rich heritage there....and then you have the Imposters in my opinion....those are the ones moving in that want to change your culture. I don’t think, by in large it’s the non resident camp owners who want this kind change at all. That’s just my opinion. You are right about one thing...if you want to keep your heritage you Mainers better start getting involved in state legislature and stop the imposters from taking over.

Good morning Turingleaf, Thank you very much for your comment. Some of what you have to say I agree with you 100%. And some of what you have to say I totally disagree with you. Mainly when it comes to the Liberals that are trying to run the state right now I totally agree with you. I also agree with you about Camp owners and people that come to this state that totally love this state as much as I do. That is not the problem that we've been having for at least the last dozen years or so cuz out-of-staters coming into the state and as I said in the video is bringing their crap with them. That they are moving away from. I can see in your comment that you do get it to a degree. I was not attacking any of the people that love this state and the tradition as much as we do.
Here's where I totally disagree with you the management of the Maine Forest. I am 100% for clear cutting. I've been watching clearcuts and clear-cutting since I was a boy. I have hunted the great North Woods from when the clear cuts was as far as the eye could see.
Back in the 1980s you could drive anywhere in northern Maine and count 50 60 moose easily in a two-day ride that was when clearcuts were able to be clear-cuts.
      What does this mean?
What this means is food for deer moose rabbits bears everything you can imagine in the Maine Forest thrives off of clear-cut. I realized to you this Probably sounds ridiculous but here me out it's not ridiculous.
The very next spring after a clear-cut saplings start to grow hardwood saplings the best there is for moose food and deer feed in the winter months doesn't get any better than that by the following year these saplings will be 6 to 10 ft tall in the winter months that is the food that makes up the Maine Forest for our WildLife.
The other thing that clear-cuts gets us is raspberry bushes raspberry bushes are the main feed for the Maine black bear during the summer months. Also those clearcuts we could hunt black bear with great success. Also ruffled grouse love raspberries.
Within 5 years of a clearcut it will be 10 to 20 ft tall lots and lots of natural feed for our wildlife.
I hope this explains to you why I feel that Maine has managed its Forest exclusively for cutting wood and the side result from this is we have lots and lots of natural food for our animals as well as places to hunt. Without the cutting wood for paper mills we do not have roads or Bridges or Road repair in the great North Woods without these roads and bridges there would be no hunting in northern Maine.
The other result from not having paper companies that manage our forest is that the great North Woods would be bought up from out-of-staters liberals that make up the majority of Southern Maine now. The great North Woods would be posted no trespassing no hunting no snowmobiling no 4-wheeling. This is happening as we speak with the purchase of I believe 80,000 acres south of Baxter State Park now shut off from cutting wood bear hunting deer hunting snowmobiles and four-wheelers.
They give it a fancy name but it's just another name for no trespassing.
The short-term results of not haveng clear cutting or paper mills that manage our forest. Is exactly what we have going on right now in northern Maine starvation of Wildlife you no longer can go north of Greenville Maine and count 50-60 moose in a weekend.
Have you ever asked yourself why?
It's called lack of food when we went to the tiny little cuts of today they're no longer is the huge resource of natural saplings that come back from a clear-cut of the size during the 80s.
Take this from someone that is hunted clearcuts and the great North Woods for close to 50 years.
There is no animal good quality animal food in a mature Forest. The only way to keep a forest full of good quality natural food is with the forest management practices of the past not this crap that we've got going on now. we can thank every tree hugger from here to California with a forest management that we have today but it is not working in the North Maine Woods for our animal population.
As to your question about mainers we have tried to fight this as I said in my video and in many videos in the past but with millions and millions of dollars flooding into this state and changing our traditions this state is made up of a million residence also with very limited income so with outside money it does not take much two drowned a million mainers with outside influence.
as I said in this video millions and millions of dollars coming into this state right now to send liberal Jared golden to Washington and liberal Sara Gideon to Washington. there's only so much a million Maine residents can do against outside influences with this kind of money you should realize that as much as I do.
a few years ago we had to fight like hell to keep our bear hunt from outside money and outside resources Maine people stood up Maine people voted and we won that time.
But what is next coming down the pike for the Maine people to push back on now it is ranked Choice voting. we tried like hell to get that on the ballot for this November and once again we have been beat back. this was thrust upon us a few years ago from outside money and Outsiders the majority of this state does not want ranked-choice voting but as always now that this is a part of the way that we vote Maine people are in trouble.
so getting back to if I offended you or not this video was meant to offend some people not all but mainly it was a wake-up call for all of us if you are a camp owner or an outsider that comes to the state these are the practices that have worked for this state for hundreds of years.
I say this to say this there are lots more changes to coming. We're just at the tip of the iceberg. I've heard what they doing and working on to change the way that we deer hunt in this state it is not pretty.
I'm not going to end this comment I just don't know how to end it.
I sit on my seat either at the cabin or out in the many ground blinds thatI have and just wonder if there's anything that we can do to change what is headed this way for the state of Maine.
      ??????????
