Two Pints with Will & Ralf is a podcast featuring lifelong friends and professional actors, Ralf Little and Will Mellor. Popularly known from playing main roles together in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, the 2000s show.
Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps is a British sitcom that ran from 26 February 2001 to 24 May 2011. First broadcast on BBC Two, it starred Ralf Little, Will Mellor, Natalie Casey, Sheridan Smith, Kathryn Drysdale, and Luke Gell. Created and written by Susan Nickson and set in her hometown of Runcorn, Cheshire, it originally revolved around the lives of five twentysomethings. Little departed after the sixth series, and Smith and Drysdale left after the eighth series. The ninth and final series had major changes with new main cast members and new writers.
Ralf Alastair John Little is an English actor, writer, presenter, narrator and former semi-professional footballer, working mainly in television comedy. He played Antony Royle in The Royle Family and Jonny Keogh in the first six series of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Since 2020, he has starred as DI Neville Parker in Death in Paradise. He also is the narrator of Channel 5's The Yorkshire Farm, which follows the life of the Owen family on their Yorkshire Farm (2018-2020).
William Mellor is an English actor, singer, and model. He is known for his roles as Jambo Bolton in Hollyoaks, Gaz Wilkinson in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, DC Spike Tanner in No Offence, Steve Connolly in Broadchurch, Georgie in Barking!, and Ollie Curry in White Van Man. In 2021, he began appearing in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street as Harvey Gaskell.
Kate Thornton is an English journalist and television presenter, best known as the first presenter of The X Factor and for presenting daytime shows including Loose Women and This Morning. In 2010, she co-presented the first series of 71 Degrees North alongside Gethin Jones.
She also hosts White Wine Question Time - which is the podcast that brings together well-known friends, three glasses of wine and three thought-provoking questions. In 1995, she became the first female and youngest ever editor of pop magazine Smash Hits at age 22, producing her first issue in February 1996 covering the breakup of boy-band Take That.
She left a year later, having been unable to prevent a further slide in sales of the magazine.
In 1997, she became a Features Editor at the Sunday Times, a post she held until 2001, and also a contributing Editor for magazine Marie Claire, in which position she continued until 2003.
In February 1997, Thornton was given her first TV presenting job, on the ITV current affairs programme Straight Up.
She was tasked with putting together a photo tribute with music for Princess Diana on the day of her death.
In an interview in March 2011, Thornton is quoted as having been doubtful initially, but later having come to accept the possibility: "I never dared to assume for one minute that I was the link. But Nick Knowles (co-presenter on the show) has convinced me that whatever came as a result of it was all down to me."
Thornton was the first presenter of the UK series of The X Factor. She presented three series of the show from 2004 until 2006 before being replaced by Dermot O'Leary. Thornton later anchored ITV's daytime series Loose Women, in rotation with Andrea McLean.
She presented 233 episodes of the show from 2009 until 2011. She was replaced by Carol Vorderman.

I was born in 1990 and I already wish we could go back to then, no social media you had to ring house phones to speak to friends and knock on doors to see people. I genuinely feel gutted for kids if today and my own son is not going to have a childhood like mine, kids today spend more time sat in their bedrooms.

This without a doubt my favourite episode so far. The 90s was a decade is one which up until now I had looked at fondly, after hearing Kate's stories and even Ralf's I may well have to reconsider. Nobody should have to undergo the vile misogyny or character assassination by the media or powerful bosses

Of all the "ladettes" of those "Britpop" years, Kate was easily the most attractive to me because of her respect and intellect on screen and she didn't do the "female letch" either!
