You can kind of hear the difference between the guitars. It's like, just as the people have their own personalities and differences, so do the guitars, like they're different from each other the same way we are. ...I don't know why I'm thinking so deeply into this. I should just enjoy the music :P
This is a true masterpiece. Two of UA-cam's best VG guitarists dueling it out on one of the most memorable overworld themes for gamers of my age. One word: Epic.
Man this is awesome, I respect that you rocked out the acoustic at the right time. That part of the original song always gets me. All in all an awesome cover
Dude, so epic. When it got to 1:50, I mean sheeeeesh. The transition from the "happy, peaceful trip across Hyrule Field" sound into the "hostile enemy encountered!" sound sent chills up my spine. It feels so adventurous. Love it! :)
I've been playing for about as long as you but I just don't practice as much as I should. You're really inspiring me to play more; I take guitar pretty seriously but between classes and work it's a bitch to get that practice time in to be as good as this.
I happened to notice the N64 in the background with Ocarina of Time in it, I thought that was awesome! :D Keep doing what you do man, you're fucking amazing! Both of you!
I love how your "MP3" link is actually a lossless file. I was so surprised as your other links usually aren't, save for your bandcamp stuff. The quality of this cover is so worth it too. Thanks, you rock :)
@simulator94 I have to say the EMG HZs are amazing. I was all seymour duncan for a while but then I heard these and they just have such a nice constant sound to them.
Absolutely amazing. Two of my favorite things -- Video Games & Guitars -- combined in a stunningly beautiful way! Love it! Pleaaaaaaase never stop! ^_^
Nice work guys!!! You both do amazing work. I'm glad to see this collab, Excellent idea!!! You guys sound great together, kepp up the good stuff, both of you!!!
Yes, had occasion to try the very good Project 64 just because Conker Bad Fur Day didn't work properly on Sixtyforce on Mac, but I usually use Sixtyforce on my iMac ;)
I just started recording songs on the guitar, and i wonder if you could tell me what program you use to make drums? I Have a hard time finding a good drum machine software.
can i use this on my ocarina of time 3D video please? i have some parts that are sped up because of rides across hyrule field with epona are long and this would be ideal!
@FamilyJules7X Like around :46, :50, and at 1:00 I don't hear the lead lines being played on the black guitar... might just be mixed in low?? Still love the vid, you, lonlonjp and CSGuitar89 are my fav subscriptions I check :).
Amazing arrangement! I can't stop listening to it! Are you okay with your songs being utilized in other videos? I've been thinking about doing a drawing of Link and this song would go perfectly with a visual art video.
hey you ;) you're also a great guitar player ;) are these the EMG HZs pickups in your guitar? what do you think about them? I think of getting a guitar with EMG HZs. I don't know, wheather they are as good as the other EMGs, because these ones are passive ;)
Just emulate the original N64 version on your PC, worth it ;) I never played it on my original and still working N64 'cause I've never had the original cartridge, but since I've been playing it with an emulator, I realized how wonderful and hard is that game (I'm playing ot with a guide, without one it's quite impossible!). I only miss the Spirit Temple and the Ganon's Castle :)
Holy shit that was awesome! Damn good job you guys did, and thank God for talented video game fans! Keep on rocking!! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pick my jaw up off the floor and go change my pants.
This elevates the theme from, "I'm going in an adventure," to "Get in, losers! We're going on an adventure!"
11 years later and this is still a gem
This was almost peak Jules and certainly peak Csguitar.
damn dude ive seen all ur vids but between this and the banjo kazooie theme but u have just blown me away ty 4 all the hard work to intertain us man!

+LegoLad659 Both guitars have their own voices, spoken by the players who guide them.
+K.o.t.O.R. 511 Yeah, that's exactly what I mean!
10 year later....I still enjoy this while running, whether its' on a treadmill or a grassy field. awesome.
@PatamonofHope The aiff file is in the description. It's a much better format, but you can convert it to mp3 with Itunes. :)
I face literally melted , thats how good this is.

Dude, so epic. When it got to 1:50, I mean sheeeeesh. The transition from the "happy, peaceful trip across Hyrule Field" sound into the "hostile enemy encountered!" sound sent chills up my spine. It feels so adventurous. Love it! :)
@jmannunez Oh, then I dunno. I'm not sure what tuning he ended up using but I tabbed it as Drop D I think...
Could you please play Hyrule Field but Twilight Princess version? I saw the Metal Tribute to the History of Video Games and I love it!!

I just wanna say that you are amazing for doing these covers and doing them so well. So freaking cool.
I've been playing for about as long as you but I just don't practice as much as I should. You're really inspiring me to play more; I take guitar pretty seriously but between classes and work it's a bitch to get that practice time in to be as good as this.
@jmannunez You're sure you're in the right tuning? It's drop D on acoustic.
@tylerscreamo If you go on CSGuitar89's website, the tabs for this one are there. :)

I love how your "MP3" link is actually a lossless file. I was so surprised as your other links usually aren't, save for your bandcamp stuff. The quality of this cover is so worth it too. Thanks, you rock :)
Makes me think back to getting out of kokori forest and running to hyrule castle for the first time. Back in 1998.

my two favorite video game guitar coverers on youtube! awesome!!!!!
You seriously just did what should be on the news rather than some kid with a plastic guitar. You'd be the greatest player to jam with to game-music.
i must have listened to this 20 times already lol its so awesome
Awesome. Sun's Song in the intro.
@WeskerDyszel My jaw literally dropped as I read that. Thank you soooooo much!

Thanks. For some reason my mp3 converter wasn't able to process the aif so this really helps.
just a thing i noticed, it sounds a little choppy about 0:20 . It could have been fixed by using Hammer-on/pull off. But really, terrific job dude!

i just want to ask how you did when you recorded your video, did you have a tripod/stand or whatever you call it for your iPhone 4? :)
I stopped listening to paul gilbert to listen to this. Hope this gives you some idea of how good it is. You are both amazing guitarists.
