      I am glad you got your scooter working and as you can tell, I take a lot of time to make sure to get all the details and everything a person needs to be successful in the repair

    Thank you for showing this, my belt broke as I was riding today and this was very informative as to the internal workings of the mechanism.

      Aaron Nelson your welcome and what kind of scooter is it? Is it a Kymco

      Paul C Yeah, it's a 2004 Kymco People 250. Any idea where I could find those special tools you manufactured yourself for sale anywhere?

    • @pcofranc
      @pcofranc  7 років тому

      Yes, search google for "variator tool" which is the tool that I made. Also, the aftermarket kevlar belt works great and only costs about $50.

    hi just wondering Wat the large L shaped rubber hose is for that is still contacted to the transmission cover. I just bought a kymco and it is missing this. just a large hole now? hope u can help thanks.

    @NetzKanal 6 років тому +1

    Didn't see it removed here. How do you get it down in the rear? This won't work without disassembling the clutch. Removing the vario is the easy part.

      @pcofranc  5 років тому

      Sorry I didn't see your question until now. When you pry apart the rear variator it usually will stay open that takes the tension off the belt and once you put the new belt on and run the motor the rear variator will come back together on its own.

    hi!!! i have kymco grand vista 05 12000miles, some how it won't changed baterry. it brand new batery. i think it could be stator!? can you show me where stator locate at? can you do video for that too. thanks....

    • @pcofranc
      @pcofranc  9 років тому

      kim ngan I don't have a video for this as my stator has never had a problem even with 18,000 miles. Google: "Manual - Kymco Grand Dink.pdf" and you can download the manual for free and it will show you how to remove. Before you remove it: 1. check fuses, regulator, wires if broken?, test volts with multimeter.

    By chance does anybody knows where the cdi box is ? I have a 2009 grand vista with no spark and can't find the cdi 😔.
    Thank you in advance.

    • @pcofranc
      @pcofranc  2 роки тому

      CDI is under the seat so you're going to want to remove the seat you don't need to take the battery out and there you will see the spark plug wire the coil that sort of thing once a long time ago I had a problem where the nut was loose on the coil and it would work and then mysteriously cut off if you look through my videos you will see where I take the seat off to clean the carburetor and you'll see the order to remove all the nuts and bolts

      I found the cdi but mine only have one connection and the ones I found online have 2 connections. I wish I could add a picture to show how mine looks.
