Technically this is not a basement, it is a lower level. A basement is below ground. This is ground level or first floor. They did not have to dig for this.

Builders need to stop the outdated concept of his and hers closets. These days men have just as much clothing and shoes as their spouses. I have more clothes and shoes than my wife.
