i would love to see this race become a week and half next year then to two weeks in the future. so the can be more creavtive with stages etc. so much choice they can do. tomorrows stage will be great and the race is getting better and better.
Try & watch most cycling on TV, today was good watch with few smaller mountains, always nice to see someone from break make it. Tomorrow has iconic mountain so should be a great watch..Overall tho i feel the profile of the stages doesn't help the woman's race, its almost set up to keep gap at the top tight, for as long as possible, I get why they do it. But im sure more would get excited if the big mountains appear in the middle of the day or more of them. When 90% of the peloton reaches 30km to go, all in a group, on a day that's classed as mountainous for me that's not great layout. Fingers crossed as this race progresses over the years, they become more adventurous / risky to promote the race.
SD Worx is supposed to have the strongest team, but they don't show it. They needed a couple of domestiques to set a very fast pace today and that didn't happen and so, apparently, there was no real pressure applied to Niewiadoma on the earlier climbs and so she didn't have trouble keeping pace with Vollering when she tried to attack. Also, these women's stages seem quite short, which doesn't work in the favor of riders trying to gain time.
Is Sdworx so petty about Vollering leaving the team that they are not strategizing to support her GC bid? Talking about cutting off the nose to spite the face!

It's good to see a rider that has the ability to just go out in front and hold the lead, it becomes a bit boring watching all this cat & mouse tactics because of team orders.
