Pacmatix Pty Ltd - GSP 55s Flow Wrapper - Tomatoes

The GSP 55s is a midrange flow wrapper for high-volume production at higher speeds and is suitable for multiple shifts. This unit was fitted with a 13m infeed conveyor to enable the customer to use many packers to get work done in a shorter shift.
In this application we replaced another very outdated machine, that was not that old, but incapable of handling the production demand.
We have been able to drastically improve the sealing of the flow packs, by installing this wrapper with 3 sets of sealing wheels, to ensure a strong seal at lower temperatures, whilst also eliminating the problem of the film burning when the machine stops.
We have increased the customer's production output from 80-90 packs per minute, to speeds up to 120 packs per minute while producing better quality packs than the old machine.
We have paired the wrapper up with a Pen-Tec MSR 1200 high-quality check weigher combo to ensure compliance and reject metal-contaminated products, giving the customer peace of mind. MSR 1200 has an extremely robust mono-block construction with high quality components.
