Oh joy I just clicked to watch you and you just said the time was exactly the same time and day just weeks apart ,I hope you get your feet sorted out, I’m just the same the crocks are great comfy I hope you see this comment luv teresa x x x
I bought my first pair of yellow crocks in 1989 , we worked 7 days a week in out Sonic and we both had Planter F. In our feet . The crocks worked , I called them my duck feet .
Joy I suffered with plantar fasciitis for YEARS. I spent hundreds of dollars on braces, shots in my feet, doctors visits, stays, trips to specialty physicians, shoes and inserts. Nothing helped. Finally I bought a pair of Earth shoes... negative heel. Within 3 weeks the feet I'd suffered with for years were healed AND i've never suffered from plantar fasciitis since, about 8 years now. It took about 4 days to get used to them. An additional benefit was improved circulation in my legs and feet. Kelso Earth Shoes ugly but miracle workers!
My husband used to suffer from the foot problem you are having. He got shoe inserts from the Good Feet store. They worked wonders for him, now he doesn’t need them anymore. Wore them for anout 2 years.
I've noticed the thread racks in the background. where did you get them? they don't look like the ones at Joann's. I love your videos and have watched all of them. Congratulations on your retirement!!
You are absolutely correct about Croc’s being the only comfortable shoe to wear when you have plantar fasciitis flare ups. I too have about 5 pair. That’s the only shoe I wear at home. My plantar fasciitis was so bad I had to get steroid injections in my heals. Do the stretches and wear the supports at night. One day, it will stop hurting, I promise. I’m a nurse, retired now, but, occasionally have flare ups. Rolling the ball under your feet stretches the fascia and does help too. I enjoy your vlogs to no end.
Yes, Carla, I've worn yellow crocs every day for a week at home. Can't wear them to work, of course. I do have shoe inserts I've had for years. I got them at the Good Feet Store years ago. It helps too.
Joy, I got some inserts years ago from the Good Feet store that I use in my “out on the town shoes” too. I have been pain free about a year now. I still do the stretches daily. I hope that is what is keeping the pain away. Hope to run into you sometime when you’re in the Springfield area.
Thank you very much for telling us about Steam Seam II ! :-)). Can't even tell that you attached the extra flowers! Love the difference it makes on your blouse! :-)).
Yes Joy I would love to see how you applique, Maybe you can show one of your butterflies. You are fabulous and I wish I could find a friend like you close by to hang out with. Everyone here where I recently moved has no sense of humor, so I look to you to smile and laugh. Thank you for being so sweet and silly and I look forward to an applique demonstration. Happiest New Year!
I love what you did with that blouse, Joy. So smart. Yes, I noticed right away, because, you had just said how you didn't like the large white area in the front. So smart! I learn so much from watching you. Thanks for posting.
Happy New Year Joy and everyone watching. Joy I agree the skirt kit is great I have it and the pant kit shirt and children's kit. Really love how straight forward it is one you get your head in gear and concentrate on what you are doing. Love the blouse black and white and the added detail you did well done love the channel
The things that helped my feet most when I had that was rolling frozen water bottles of your feet. Standing away from the wall and doing calf stretches and going to get a massage and have them work on your calves....a miracle! Good luck!
Love to watch your videos! Even my husband enjoys them when he hears them! You show a dress in a still shot within this video that has fringe on it. It hangs on your beautifully. Can you tell me the pattern and the fabric. My guess would be a sure fit design with a challis?
Joy, Thank you so much for getting the pattern for me! Helga and I have connected on YT too. Such a wonderful community! HA! I thought you used the extra fabric to make a new front! I would never have guessed you'd brilliantly layer flowers on there! Gorgeous! Remember the email I sent you about keeping your foot arch mobile? That's what that ball does - it keeps the arch tendon moving. Between that and wearing those arch stretchers, you should see improvement. Remember: fasciitis means "fixate" or "fixed". Plantar is "foot" so PF is essentially "fixed foot or immobile foot". Get your foot moving by stretching the arch and your pain will subside. It's always worse right when you wake up or when get out of the recliner because your arch has been in one spot without moving for a long period of time. Wear a shoe that allows movement of the arch vs. one that is stiff like a thick sandal. Crocs are great because they are very flexible. Tennis shoes that have the slits in the sole work wonders. Great video!
Plantar fasciitis is the worst. I use arch supports from the drugstore, just put them in my shoes and off I go. I had some Crocs, but the arch support wasn’t there, didn’t work for me. I was wearing a pair of lavender Crocs one time and had my feet up on a bench. A hummingbird came by and put his tongue in one of the Croc holes. Totally amazed me.
Joy, I have the same foot condition that you have. Go to your foot doctor and get fitted for orthodics. They are kind of expensive but it works really good. No pain at all.
I knew you would fix that part you didn’t like!!!! Looks great. You are an awesome seamstress. I sew but not clothing. Maybe someday! Happy Weekend! 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Joy, plant fasciitis! the only thing really work for me was rest. It’s hard when we are use to move around. Arch support with soft hill bed make it more bearable. Be patient Joy. I love your videos.
I love your videos and get so excited when I see knew one posted. Thanks for making them! 😃. Have you thought about getting a prescription from your Doctor for a custom orthotic? It’s made to fit your foot exactly and it’s just a small insert for your shoe, nobody would even know your wearing it. I had plantar fasciitis so bad I couldn’t barely walk but after wearing my orthotic it's completely gone. It was only thing that worked for me. A Physical Therapist fitted me. Hopefully your exercising will work for you but maybe think about the orthotic as an additional option. Debbie
Hi Joy, for your plantar faciitis problem go to Dr. Berg and search for is youtube on that. It's a little exercise to do I had this problem for almost a year and with this exercise now it's gone. (excuse my english). I love your video. bye.
When I am going to be working in the yard, or walking on uneven surfaces I wear either my hiking boots or high top work boots. They are not stylish by any means, but my heels won’t hurt the next day! You find what works. 😀
Thanks Joy for SFD video. Great idea about affixing flowers. And about changing sleeve. I like that shape and size. I am advanced beginner and can do SFD. She does have a few videos on how to sew bodice blueprint. Topics for future ( if you want): interfacing- when you need it or not in knits, finishing the neckline nicely, ever attach ribbing? ( seamstress friend gave me 1/4 yard of ribbing fabric I had no clue how to cut or attach ribbing. Could you show using your serger for knit tops? Can you show how to draft and sew on pockets? Whatever happened to darling little girls dresses project? The one with hooters ribbed tops.
I can't make heads nor tails out of Sure Fit. Not her fault, I just can't get beyond the muslin and I've been sewing since I was 12. Just had to put it away for awhile. Not like me but it drove me nuts...see you next week.
Go to walmat and get on that dr scholls machine take off your shoes and still on it,it will show you which insole to buy. They work. Thanks Joy. Joy what a smart idea adding the flowers. They use that steam seam on applique.
I have already done that at Walmart. I wasn't able to use the thing inside my shoe because it crushed the front of my foot toward the top of the shoe and made it too tight. But thanks.
I really don't use it much because you have to have THREE spools of thread on it. The serger takes four. I don't have seven spools of any colors. You could wind bobbins, but it is just easier to hem it on my sewing machine. If I make a really nice top, I will use it to make it look more professional.
@@Joy4650B Ok I did buy one because it was on sale so I will see if I use it or not ha ha ha Anyway I can't find anywhere do you oil it or not, ???? Thanks again for your help

Yes, Joy. The injections worked for me. Also try rolling a bottle of water with your foot. The cold will help, although temporary.

Hi Joy, really like what you did with steam a seam 2. Makes a big difference. You give us great tips. Have a great weekend and thank you. Val 🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️

THank you. I have been to The Good Feet Store, and I do have a custom orthotic. It does help, but it doesn't fit in all my shoes.
Love you Joy! If you could do a tutorial on your SFD top, that would be lovely💖😊
Love Steam a Seam! Sometimes I use it for my clothing labels.
Where's the top with the insert on the front.??

joy were here in Australia had little buttons to push in those holes on the crocks [years ago] I got them for my grandchildren they were cute
I remember those buttons on Crocs. I'm in Manitoba Canada. Maybe Joy can invent Steam a Seam2 buttons for Crocs. :)

The flower iron-on fix for neckline issue ,another "lightening fast idea" of yours and you wonder where Tammy gets her sleuth!!! Lol.

If you draft your own sloper and then make your own pattern then you don't have to do any alterations.
