I walked out of my bank with $40k cash. They never questioned me because it was a smaller bank and they all knew it was really my account and my cash. I went and bought a new pickup truck.
I had to take out over 50k just once in my life in order to take it to the closing on my house for the down payment. That almost wiped out my savings account, but I had a bigger severance payment coming in three weeks to put back into my account. My bank had to know why I was withdrawing such an amount and I received it in the form of a cashier's check made out to the bank giving me my mortgage. I couldn't just withdraw that money and walk out of there with no questions asked or in the form of cash.
