That's actually why I always do these rope twist braids. I've tried French braids and similar but I just can't get the hang of it. Tried this braid instead and it's now my go to. Works every time. 😁👍

Im a nurse and I wear this hairstyle quite alot (only I take both sides and form a low bun in the back) and I get at least 2 compliments on my hair from patients every shift I wear it!

This is great! I watched another video that said you pull in new hair by taking hair from the left, crossing it UNDER the left strand, and combining it with the right strand. Then pull in from the right side, pulling it under the right strand and combining it with the left. It was so hard to do on myself! And I'm pretty good at braids. This is so much easier! I guess this is more the "french" version and hers is more the "dutch" version. But I prefer this look, anyway. Thanks!
there is a lot of different ways to do braids on UA-cam, so It might take a couple of videos to find the right one, but im happy I could help you out! x

I learned how to do the side rope pigtail braids a few months after I taught myself the french rope one I like wearing them cause they’re easy/fun to do on occasion
I cannot wait to try this with my daughter, my wife is always surprised with how I do it.

I have tried this and it works great when I do it on the left side of my head, and then when I go to do the right side, it looks completely awful haha. I do it along with your video too. Any advice!?

I can never get my rope twist down!! I can only twist one strand at a time then they lose the twist when I try to cross them over each other
Keep trying it just takes practice that’s all I couldn’t blow a bubble out of gum but I kept practicing at it till I got that mastered You got this it just takes a bit of time is all
Remember the french rope is always to the right and the french braid is the left direction of your hair I learned that from a book on braids I had years ago when I first started how to wear them besides my bubble braids from 5-6th grade

What if you don't have hair clip hair
My hair always comes lose when I let go. Like it doesn't completely unravel but it looks loose and not very nice.

Not really it just takes practice and the braid is clockwise and always starts at the right not the left Keep trying you’ll get it eventually
I physically cannot braid my hair no matter what I do. This looks so easy but for some reason I can’t fucking do it
Try the bubble braid hairstyle if a simple dutch-rope braid is too hard for you to do they’re easy fun and simple to do and becoming popular once again from the days that little/young girls used to wear them in elementary -high school Once you know how to do bubble braid then practice on how to make the french rope It just takes practice/time and getting a book on braids might be helpful too
