Telegraphic Speech -- Part 2

'Telegraphic Speech' describes a toddler pattern of language production that simplifies grammatical structural. The produce phrases and sentences with nouns, verbs and adjectives (Open Class Words) but drop out auxiliaries, determiners , prepositions etc. (Closed Class Words). Toddlers initially prefer Open Class Words, as they are unsure how Closed Class Words contribute to the meaning of their messages.
